Normally, I'd just do research and answer this myself, but I'm genuinely stuck. Before I explain, let me give my current armor loadout, with the 39/42 elemental resistance of each, for reference.

-(No-Drop) Werewolf Transformation (Earth/Light)
-(No Drop) Might UltraGuardian Plate (Neutral)
-Hexbound Solar Core (Fire/Light)
-Hyperalphean Slayer (Water)
-Haunted Dragonlord Armor (Wind)
-True Nemesis' Testament (Ice)
-Ironhoof Executor (Energy/Fire/Light)
-Shadowfall Raiment (Darkness)
-Champion Holy Avenger (Light)

Now, which armor I use when facing a monster, based on defending element.

Fire: Ironhoof Executor
Water: Hyperalphean Slayer
Wind: Haunted Dragonlord Armor
Ice: True Nemesis' Testament
Earth: Werewolf Transformation
Energy: Ironhoof Executor
Light: Ironhoof Executor
Darkness: Shadowfall Raiment

And of course Avenger (Paladin) for undead enemies.

Notice the issue? Hexbound gets no use. Don't get me wrong, it's an AMAZING armor. Love it, love its nuke skill, the burn doesn't bother me at all, LOVE it. But Ironhoof Executor is just....bafflingly overpowered, AND covers THREE elements. The thing dominates my "usage leaderboard" because it's just, too, good. Hexbound is one of my favorite armors, but Ironhoof outclasses it in EVERY possible way. So I'd like to replace it with another utility armor, like how Paladin handles undead or how Ultimon trivializes shadows. I HAVE Ultimon, but shadows honestly aren't threatening enough to dedicate a slot to. I've considered Rubicon Legate because the passive stat drive is pretty good, but I'm not a fan of the armor's tagging mechanics. Eternal Champion's Spirit is a great Earth alternative, but I can't think of a reason to use it over Werewolf.

I'm perfectly content to keep Hexcore around for its cheap skill, but if anyone has some other niche utility I haven't thought of, feel free to recommend something. No limitations. Whether it's a token item, premium package item, etc. As long as it CAN be obtained somehow and the armor isn't attached to a weapon, I can manage.

Here's a few adjustments for consideration.

Eternal Reign Plate: You can heal from burnt enemies and has built-in celerity. Even if you got fire covered it's nice. If ironhoof offers this already my bad for mentioning but it's a very nice armor.

Winter Dryad Bark: dunno how attached you are to nemesis but the elevuln this gives is nice. and has backlash too.

Mark of Wrath: strong cheap skill and inflicts The Cold. I don't see the appeal of dragonlord as the wind armor though its weapon is fine.

A utility choice is tough because when you got things covered what would you need? Maybe geocastellum for the defensive cheese strat though you wouldn't need it probably. Something with heal resist?

Eternal Reign Plate: Not a bad suggestion. Passive heals would be nice if I could inflict burns with Heroic titan's Grasp. Issue is, the heal seems bugged. I've been testing for the last hour and no enemy I fight either lower than or at my level provides a heal when burned by the weapon. Yes, the skill is active. Yes, both he perma-burn and temp-burn effects are active. Yes, its celerity skill DOES eat the burn, so it IS right right type of burn. And yet the heal just, will, not, happen. Might submit a bug report for this.

Winter Dryad Bark: Nemesis is WAY too good to give up. Using it with Vanity and Hubris gives me two turns of a Void imbue nuke that can kill or fatally injure anything that doesn't have a damage cap per turn.

Mark of Wrath: I like the IDEA of The Cold, but literally everything the armor does requires elelocking to Wind, which isn't very useful when defending against a Wind monster. Inflicting The Cold and then swapping to another armor is an option, but Dragonlord can use it's 4-hit stun skill without elelock, making it universally useful. Plus, because the toggle hits 4 times, it synergizes very well with the weapon providing SP regen to repeatedly imbue it for more damage. Paired with the True Nemesis' Bastion shield for +5 status potency and/or the Thunder Wave Blade imbue spell, the opponent gets so much stun that it's lucky to get a turn at all. The damage is average, but that means little when you get like 8 turns in a row.

If there are any other armors with decent "passive" heal abilities, that would be nice. I do really like the idea of using several turns with Mark of Wrath to tank the enemy accuracy and evasion before swapping to another armor. I'll keep that idea in my back pocket. Could be a useful setup for inaccurate Hubris.

For the heal effect to trigger the active burn needs to show at least one round and prismatic burn is treated as a separate status that won't work with it. You're perhaps not using a sufficient enough burn. I use wyrdflame and arcane rift key though I assume neither is a good pick for you but you can decide.

Totally fair. Guaranteed effects with quickcast are tough to beat. I completely overlooked it.

The mark of wrath suggestion was mostly for the cheapness on skill. Yes dragonlord has the daze spam potential but stuns are old. Loses to freedom and you should not often need to use them. But if you are to stick with it there's an earth weapon that pairs perfectly. I'll apologize in advance for forgetting of the name but I want to say malice is in it. Toggles a daze.

Honestly, I would actively just replace Haunted Dragonlord with Mark of Wrath. I like the Haunted DL sword, I don't like any other item from the set, sorry.

As for another utility armor, I can't think of many things that weren't already mentioned. I like playing the Shadow questlines, so I genuinely use Ultimon if I have the slot for it, but in case you like farming quests with a lot of dragons involved, Twisted Dragonhide armor might work? Or Frozen Dragonslayer, if you specifically want an anti-dragon nuke?

To be fair, I never really use the armor, anyway. Not because I avoid it, but because there don't seem to be many Wind enemies in the game. Certainly none that are threatening enough to need meta strats. Stuns don't work against Freedom, but I've genuinely never seen a monster that is Wind element, has Freedom, AND is threatening enough that a basic 14% Wind resist and attack spam can't handle. Essence of Wind Dragon is probably the most threatening Wind monster I can think of off the top of my head, and pairing Dragonlord's 4-hit combo with Titan's Grasp's burns and (eventual) auto-hit buff completely dominates the thing.

I would LOVE a good Earth weapon. Issue is, my weapon slots are full. Hence why one of my conditions was "isn't attached to a weapon." For reference, my weapons are...

Fire: Heroic Titan's Grasp (Utility: Burns)
Water: Elani Silencer's Athame (Utility: Auto-hit)
Wind: Haunted Dragonlord's Might (Utility: SP regen)
Earth: Blade of Awe!!!
Energy: Mighty Caissa (Utility: Harm damage)
Light Exalted Unity (Utility: Auto-hit/elebuff/imbue)
Darkness: Hubris (Utility: BtH lean/Void damage)

Awe is honestly not bad once you lock its special to whichever one you like most. Can be decently strong. But I WOULD like having something like Terminus Twinmaul (the one you might have been thinking of) or Grawn for more utility. There's just nowhere to fit it in without giving up the major utility of one of the other weapons (assuming I attune Awe to that element). Probably the "least" useful weapon in my roster is Mighty Caissa, since the Void imbue will do the same thing but way better. If I lock Awe to Energy, I can swap Caissa for the Earth version of Elani Silencer for an Earth auto-hit. Hmmm...Might consider that.

That's not a bad idea. I'm fine with swapping my armors per battle if needed, but if I'm feeling lazy...lol

The skill is Ranged and I'm a tank warrior, so I'm not sure how accurate the nuke would end up being. Still, a void nuke against dragons isn't a BAD idea. I just don't need it since one of my SPells is Dragonslayer Aura, which lets me deal void damage to dragons for 2 turns and is super cheap to cast. I can effectively turn ANY nuke skill into anti-dragon void damage...for two turns....for half the cost lol
