Ok this is just a fleeting thought I have had and it needs refinement. So what I am proposing is an idea for us to be able to enjoy a membership in ED.

I was thinking about Artix Entertainment making us a membership for $20 per year. In that membership we get the choice of any 4 fully enhanced items throughout the year as our own choice not ones that are decided/designated by AE or ED just ones we want to choose from the promotions. They could say ... give us 4 tokens and we can swap a token for the item we want. Amended ~ 1 promotional item per promotional offer. That way someone can't use up all the tokens at once.

Give us badges for each year we are members but give Alpha, Elites and perhaps Founders the 1st year membership badge instantly. No ifs or buts about it because long term supporters should be provided with incentive to remain in the game.

So anyone who buys the membership gets the 2nd year membership badge.

Members should be the first ones asked to test anything like the Juggernaut mode at no cost to themselves but still will receive badges for whatever they test.

At Christmas time, just as a small thank you, members will get one rare item chosen by our admin.

You see I feel that this game needs a membership like this. It may not be totally easy for the guys to put it in but I am sure that someone on AE staff can surely help to get this game back in line with the other AE games.

 Uh no thanks.

First: ED Membership for a year would at least have to be in the range of $50-$55

Second: 4 Fully Enhanced Items defeats the purpose of enhancements cause boom badda bing, you have a full build with enhancements just from that.

Third: Badges would be unfair to give to the Alpha's, Founder's, and Elites because a membership feature is eligible for everyone, not just the long time supports.

Fourth: If we got a rare from the admins every christmas, it would only result in flames or trolls especially because a large majority of people get christmas money and or new years money and wouldn't been able to be given the rare even if they missed it by just a few days or even a few hours.

Fifth: $20 for getting everything that you suggested would through the ED Economy off by a truck load.

Sixth: You would need a much more mature membership package. For example (Using your numbers and ideas):

Purchasing the 1 year package of membership will give you:

7,500 Varium.
10,000 Credits
1 Fully Enhanceble weapon of choice (Armors/Guns/Primaries/Aux's)
A membership badge given on spot. (Badge stays after membership expires to show your support)
A bonus of 1,500 Varium for every year you've been a member of EpicDuel.


And even the above membership would still be a bit to much.

A membership idea is great and all but ask for more?

Nope Practel your just not thinking outside the bubble. The bubble that ED has put you in.

I don't want varium in my membership I just want the things I stated in OP. Wouldn't that be nice indeed.

I also hate to tell you Practel that ED's economy is OFF the planet right here and now.

Finally a thread that tells what players want, not free stuff like verification ( not flaming anyone, I got verified acc but don't want to mess up the game).And angel your link will be deleted xD, hopefully I grab it before they do.

Nope no varium. You will have to buy your varium in the packages hopefully that Wiseman has suggested. That way it keeps AE/ED happy and the players can be shown some appreciation too. Win/win in my eyes.

If everything could be as simple as you just said the world would be epic. But there is not, you dont knwo the pricings ED gets and thats what determines the packages. If ED costs 40k a month to host the servers, and they are only making 50k a month that means the extra 10k goes into other areas of the company or ED to help it. Pricing a $20 one YEAR subscription isnt the best pricing.

Practel this IS an easy solution indeed I believe in KISS (Keep It Simple Silly).

Prac you are just trying to complicate something that is purely a simple solution to bring players back to ED. More players = more turnover = happy players = happy ED.

This is kind getting out of the line shadronica and practel, you both should try to calm dwon, what about a $30 not too cheap neither to expensive. What you think? This thread is for fun, not for getting angry just for a simple post/thread. I don't want myself being flaming in this thread so I will stop posting but I'll check the progress of it until it is locked.

The 20$ member ship from OP, is a very good idea, I would take a membership.

P.S.
A choice of any promo items even the one like the new guns, not available in game.

Cyberbakio we aren't arguing/flaming at all. Practel is an old friend of mine.

Polandor yes the choice would be our own. Just 4 items in a year from the promotions fully enhanced of course.

 We are discussing different payment plans, however please keep in mind that I don't set the prices, and our higher ups are also involved with the payment structure. This is an ongoing discussion that does not have a simple answer.

Thylek I understand that there is a suggestion forum however I wanted to see if our community would support an idea like this and also to see if anyone wanted to add anything into it.

Do you agree or disagree that a membership like the one I have posted would be a good idea. If so, then perhaps our administration can use the whole idea or even consider something similar if at all.

I deliberately wanted to leave varium out of the membership because I didn't want people to expect that they would be compensated. It was just an idea around that problem.

It would be nice if something like this were to be considered but I will try to not get my hope's up. ^^

It would also compliment the Varium package being considered in Wiseman's thread.

I have also amended my original opening post.

 Membership wouldn't work for ED.

Simply because the features members would get currently cost varium and are vital parts of the game. Like what are you suggesting members would get besides what you stated in the OP?

If you think about a dress up game like AQW, where literally members only get items and zones. I mean yes that can be implemented into ED, but why limit zones or items to only some?

I Support ! but this isn't gonna happen for few reasons .

1)_ full enhancements need more then 20$ and depend on how many weapons you have and it will be more then 50$+ like practel said.
2)_it's still the same, wasting money for varium to enhance weapons it's better then wasting varium and then wasting money for Enhancements.
it's pretty weird to me but i support this idea .
