Bittersweet

What worries me the very most
Is something I can proudly boast
Being shattered at my feet
His heart gone bittersweet

I stay awake, I dare not cry
Sing myself a lullaby
Waiting, hoping to meet
Love and not defeat

Earnestly running through the dale
To arrive in time without fail
Only to see him neat
Waiting to sweep me from my feet

I do not weep I do not cry
I have no need to sing goodbye
As he is with me close
The one I love the most
