i think hud fixed some of the match up problems in 2v2.....which is great ! ....but it now seems to take a lot longer to get a match going...i think we need to have the earnings increased...by like 2 fold.....since now it not only takes longer to win a match, but it takes longer to get in one.....what do you all think?

Well the matches are definitely more balanced now. I haven't been running into say 34 and 34 vs. 31 and 30. Thanks Hudelf!

well i dont think thats the major problem with 2vs2, the match up sometimes are a bit messed up and at sometimes you'll have to do an extreme jug

Greatly agree. 2v2 needs some serious changes to its rewards. Not only do you get more rewards from 1v1 the credits to experience ratio is better in 1v1 rather than in 2v2.

12:32 about 3 credits for every experience

24:54 about 2 credits for every experience

2 vs 2 is worse it's all lvl 34-31's and it;s 95% of the time all tlms. say if your a blood mage for example and your stuck an all tlm battle the blood mage's team will lose.

no wonder 2v2 has been slow in a full server sigh and i tot i was lagging lolz XD was playing with my bh alt and seem to be winning a lot. yep i guess the did modified the lvl range i will play my main soon and see how is it but i would say it is gr8 for low lvls cause i highest player i have met in 2v2 as lvl 30 is a lvl 32. and i did a fw 1v1 too and it is the same the lvl range has been modified for both 1v1 and 2v2. this is a gr8 step to balancing 2v2 and 1v1 for low lvl now the problem is jugs.

Did they? I think this is assumption based considering a few days ago I lost 4 matches in a row from getting lvl 29 non variums against two 34 full varium opponents. Either way It's war only for me for quite some time.

GO LEGION!!! Haha I had a huge group of Exiles surrender the other day and what did I do?? I killed them anyway as they cried and begged me for mercy!! CRUSH THE REBELLION!!! LEAVE NONE ALIVE!!!

Supported, the type of batle you choose should not affect your average credit/xp/battle token/unfluence income (in other words, players should be getting those resources off of 2v2 at the same rate that they would in 1v1)

I still think we need a new 2v2 mode with ally link. This will decongest the current 2v2 as the ally link mode will mainly consist of 34 full varium teams, making the current 2v2 playable and more fair for all those wishing to have a little more fun.

Most of us enjoy the strategy and surprises 2v2 brings to us and don't want to see it replaced by the ally link feature which is why i say a new mode. Also if ally link should replace 2v2 all together then the f2ps would be non existent and this game would slowly die.

Glad to hear it seems to be more fair than before! I personally have had much closer matches in 2v2, but I'm only one person.

I'm not sure whether the longer queue times are due to the changes we made, or the fact that the War is going on and a lot of people are diverting their time to doing that (Could definitely be a bit of both). Once the event cools down a little bit (hah), we'll try to take another look at things and make some more improvements, assuming nothing else comes up that forces us to wait.

I am a bit concerned about the queue times on non-full servers at certain level ranges though.

I think they should put a lower range of lvls cuz 5 lvl gap is way too big, getting a lvl 29 against two 34 becomes a real pain

I think that longer waiting for oppponents is caused by ppl farming war NPCs even on power hour.

Can you explain why you feel it is much worse than before?

We felt that the high level population might not be able to handle any stricter matching, leaving people matched against the same people all the time, or just not getting into a fight. Seems that the very-high-level matching still needs a bit of tweaking to get right, though.

it;s much worse because it;s now all lvl 34 tlms and yea i think that explains it all. getting trapped in tlms battled when your an non op class isn't exactly fun.

For some it's worse, others it's great. I'm unsure if this was done to 1vs1 as well, but I've been seeing some balancing there too. On my level 27 alt, it's great since now I'm paired up with players I can actually compete with. Quite worth it for the longer wait time. On my level 34 on the other hand, I really hate it. In 1vs1, it's all high level varium players. In 2vs2, even more varium players. Being that I have an exceptionally big disadvantage, I always lose. Either way, it's whoever has more varium is the winner. I'm glad that battle mode balance is a priority, but I really think the non-varium vs varium problem should have been fixed before balancing battle modes, since I'm pretty much stuck now. I can't win 1vs1, 2vs2, and only rarely Juggernaut.

Hmmm It says Hudelf and under it says member. I hope it's not someone pretending and I'm assuming a mod would have done something by now if it was. Just think there should be something there to show it's actually a developer.

Anywho, what the mode needs is either to be decongested, or have a set level for every slot.

I think the decongestion method would be much better for everyone. A new 2v2 mode with ally link. This would consist of primarily level 34 full variums considering everyone else would be crushed, leaving the normal mode a little less congested and entertaining for the casual players and non-variums.

The other suggestion, set level for every slot, would keep two 34 players from being paired up. So for instance, rooms are made like this,

level 1-2 top left spot 2-3 top right

4-5 bottom left 3-4 bottom right

Top left goes first every time to ensure the lowest level gets first turn as it should be.

Worst case scenario, Left team would be 7 levels combined against right teams 5 and vice versa. The only unfairness would be when a player either leaves or the battle fails to start. It would look something like that all the way up to level 34.

It may take a moment to find a match at first, but after awhile more people will play in the mode because they will find it more appealing.

Also would like to point out that 2v2 players are getting the same amount of faction influence after a win as 1v1 players even though our matches take much much longer.

Yea it's me, need to get some fancy title under me at some point, but didn't want to wait before I started posting.

Sounds to me that matching is better for everyone that's NOT near the max level, but max level needs a little bit of work.

My thoughts:
1v1: Increase the matching range at very high levels so that 34s are matched with non-34s more often.
2v2: Make it so two 34s can't be paired against a 34 and a non-34. (Would apply across all level ranges so that you can't have a 20+20 vs 20+15)

@Hudelf: Well I simply love the 2vs2 idea, however...

In the 1vs1 idea, think of what would happen: Non-Variums get a buff, but lower levels get to fight full-Varium level 34s more often.

Great to see you here Hudelf!

Getting some balance in the 2v2 is very much appreciated.

It sounds to me that you have a grasp on the problem and I hope we can get it fixed.

The 2v2 has always been a problem with its mismatches. If we can get it sorted its a most enjoyable way to spend hours upon hours.

If this can be done that would be great except we still face 34 and 33 variums which is just as bad but hey...one step at a time.

Maybe a new mode with ally link though could also be done some day. Would be an interesting mode for sure.

Also not sure about the 1v1 idea.... That basically makes it faster for those players and decreases the appeal of 2v2 even further.

We are already handicapped considering we get twice the creds & exp, the same influence and they win on average, 3 matches to our 1.
