Are the stated SP costs of Darkbolt accurate? On the pedia page: http://forums2.battleon.com/f/tm.asp?m=19236368, it states that the level 125 Antiguardian Plate's Darkbolt only costs a mere 53 SP. That's even lower than the level 5 version's! I also suspect that the level 105 version's SP cost is similarly a typo, as it is about 50 SP less than the level 65 version's cost. There does seem to be a general trend of the SP cost peaking at the lower levels (level 52) and then declining. But if that was intentional, wouldn't that not only be counterintuitive, but also make the skill spammable and somewhat OP at level 125? It is intentional. The skill receives Elemental Compensation, which is based on your defenses. At level 5, a "good" resistance is around 90-95% (including shield), so you are only taking about 24.2% damage more than assumed even against Light monsters. At level 125, a "good" resistance is about 21%, so you are taking 285.7% damage more than assumed when fighting Light monsters (note: the level 125 skill expects that you are fighting Darkness monsters, but you get the point). Hence the higher compensation in skill cost. See this post for details. ~Koree Ah, I see. Thanks, Koree!
