Locking this up since it is not going to happen! I will explain why, making the game run through Java is not as simple a switching a switch. Maybe things can be converted, but the amount of bugs that would come about due to the conversion would be mad. Bare in mind ED is coded through AS, due to the fact this is a specialist area for the EpicDuel coders and they know AS very well, switching to Java will likely only lead to troubles due to it being a different language and nothing ever translates one hundred percent correctly. The benefits you have listed are certainly not always true, yes it may be harder to create exploits against Java games, but it is still possible. Java created games are still just a vulnerable, look at games such as Runescape who have made multiple issues with these things over the years, despite being made in Java. If anything, people have more trouble with Java as a player on their computers than people tend to have with Flash. It has been known for viruses and other things to actually come through Java and this has actually happened recently with big issues arising and calling for Java to be made more secure. Flash has not had these types of massive issues in the past, so you can easily argue that is the most secure for users and exploit wise, you get them in both, it is just up to us to try and fix them as we become aware of them! EpicDuel's graphics are made in its own specific style, it is easy to generically say 'better graphics', but there is not exactly a set meaning to that in this sense. You can say that better graphics means more realistic, more like WoW or Skyrim, but every game has its own graphic style. EpicDuel has its own graphic style in a detailed flash art way. Just as AQWorlds has its own style, as does MechQuest, DragonFable, Oversoul, Adventure Quest and so on. Every game is faced with a decision of whether to make graphics towards a certain style they want to work towards, or to work towards photo-realism. AE's games work towards their own style and like to explore more new styles as HeroSmash and PvP show, and this is simply how they work! The trading feature is not in EpicDuel due to the fact it would only cause problems; people trading weapons to lower level alts so they are fully kitted out from level one, players scamming others out of weapons and many others. It is not exploitable, simply a poor move towards balance and player safety. Lag wise, lag will occur on all games, it is dependent on so many factors other than just what the game is played through. It can be dependent on things from the game client size, the game servers, your computer/laptop specs (RAM, Processor, Graphic Card and so on), your internet speed and type of connection, the browser you use, the amount of players in your area, the amount of people online, the amount of time your computer has been on without restart, how many pages and applications you have open... As you can see the list is very long and that is only the start of it. Simply saying 'no lag' faster game is certainly not true, since on my old laptop I still experience a lot of lag on some Java games, sometimes even more than I do on EpicDuel or another Flash game. Though it is a nice suggestion and thank you for the consideration; I have a strong feeling you may have got your ideas from Runescape or another Java game similar... In which case though some points are correct to a limited point, you do need to do more research because you will certainly see that Java has a lot of issues as well and has had a bumpy past. It is completely debatable whether it is better than Flash or not and blunt statements saying it simply is better just are not really justifiable. Both languages have their drawbacks and both have their own positives, EpicDuel is made in Flash and will stay that way at least for now!
