It has been confirmed by me and several other players that one of this games biggest problems is the fact that we can see eachother build. Now i am aware that the entire process of seeing eachothers builds, copying the good ones, and utilizing it until nearly every member of that class is using it is part of a process that helps the game evolve. However, the problem for us, as players, is the "fairness" with this process. Why? Because kids are spending 8k credits and several hours a day, on average, retraining and searching for a build they feel most comfortable with. These kids eventually find one, literally 32,000 credits later (4 days later IF they're lucky), start winning matches and next thing you know someone just "decides" they like the build. So they spend 500 credits and 5 minutes copying the build and win the same, if not even more.

I'm not proposing that the option to click on a players level just vanishes. My proposition is that we only see whats necessary in battle such as: Health, Energy, Primary damage, Sidearm Damage, Auxiliary Damage, Robot Damage, Defense and Resistance.. Strategy can be used to figure out an opponents strength, dexterity, technology and support by looking at his Primary Damage, Sidearm, Defense, Resistance and Auxiliary damage. As far as skill tree goes I do believe it is vital we see eachothers skills to know what to expect such as a Max Plasma Cannon or Max Hybrid Armor.
Not only with this ensure the fairness to all players but it won't eradicate the ever changing evolution of the battles inside Epicduel. It'll slow it down, allowing Moderators to have more time to come up with different ideas and releases without the players getting bored since now you've just added the simple ingredient of curiosity. Now you've just supplied everyone with something to CONSTANTLY do, and thats "Figure out what build (Insert Player Name Here) is using". Sure, a valid argument you can use is "Well what about dex mages or someone with really high dex" and thats where experience comes in. You'll have to figure it out and use strategy by either paying attention to their Defense/Resistance, using Blood Hawk, or Omega Core. Please consider this!

Some players have even thought of making your stats on the page like a "facebook" page, in the sense of making it open to "Public, friends, or not at all (private)".

I am open to ANY feedback, my goal is to ensure fairness for all players and slow down the evolution of the game in order to provide players with something to do and provide moderators with enough time to ccome up with releases without anyone getting fully bored. I believe this is our game as a community and we should help it progress to its maximum potential.

And if you need my Epicduel name to establish my credibility as a player who deals with these problems or who supports the game then I am "Ghost God".

An example of this when clicking on a characters level to look at stats.
EX:
Max Helath: 700

Max Energy: 640

Focus: Focus Level 5

Primary: 558-592

Sidearm: 518-552

Auxiliary: 440-448

Robot: 450-486

Defense: 308-370

Resistance: 307-339

The entire Skill Tree will still be shown, along with damages. From this I believe it is indeed possible to use strategy to decide exactly what a player has "under his hood", especially if you look at the damages he or she has on certain skills.

this is an RPG game so you Must see the enemy's strategy clearly and try to outsmart it.

doing so might change the game from RPG into "kill enemy as fast as you can"

Yes, iI know it's a strategy game which is why I don't see anything wrong with seeing Skill Tree. Just with Strength, Dexterity, Technology, and Support. All of which can be figured out with Strategy by looking at primary damage, sidearm damagae, defense, resistance, and auxiliary damage.

yes , but strategy will be build on assumptions , does he have X skill at Y so doing Z will stop it ? could he possibly have S skill to counter my X strategy ? and so on.

this will be fighting blindfolded and hoping to hit the pinata.

Oh I think I understand what you're saying. We will be able to see eachothers Skill trees and points on Skill trees, Everything stays the same except for the availability to see Strength, Dexterity, Technology, and Support. Skills can be seen, just not those 4 categories.

well , it is not a bad idea but it is mainly directed towards blood hawk , and i sepose it will be a nerf , not that i am either against it or with it but more justification will be good.

Blocking off someone's skill tree will never work IMO. You'll pretty much be leaving everything up to lucky guessing since you can't even tell what skills the opponent has, and then it wouldn't solve a thing about build diversity since everybody will then just switch to the build that has the least counters, like a focus build.

It's also not really fair if someone has a max supercharge and you don't even know until it's too late. Those kind of builds would also be really popular.

Many players have suggested this in the past, however the staff would rather have it where players can see your build if they can't find one then have them think of one for themselves if they can't do so. To be honest though while this does add to planning it also promotes build copying which only got worse since everything is now basically the same.

Skill/Luck becomes a factor when you are battling the same build as yourself.

@edward vulture: yes and i don't believe luck should even be a factor at all. To all: Skill tress will be completely seen. Just not categories from strength to support

How about an option to hide your build outside of battle? Would not solve all the build copying problems but would help somewhat

Just implement an option to hide your build or allow it to be visible. If that's a foreseeable solution, then build copying will be eliminated by 50%; not to mention the amount of variety and strategical, tactical play will skyrocket.

No, it won't necessarily improve build diversity or tactical play, unless your idea of strategy is guessing and getting your guess right maybe 20% of the time on how strong someone's energy shield is or how much energy a hidden maxed out skill costs that you don't know is maxed out:

^This sounds like a good idea for those who really think build copying is a bad idea. But if you can hide your build also note that people will just swarm the forums for build requests anyways.

The only acceptable way they could incorporate blind battles into the game without enraging a lot of the players would be if they actully seperated the battle mode into blind battles.

As in a whole new battle mode for 1v1 and possibly 2v2 and jugg.

For example you click the "1v1" icon then a little drop-up icon appears stating weather you want a "blind battle" or a "normal battle"

Blind battles:

The complete build and stats are not viewable you can only see the buff and debuffs that are effecting the player/s.

Normal Battles:

I think as compensation for having blind battles in a whole separate mode means that they can make normal battles fully viewable where you can see EVERYTHING, which includes what cores your opponent has equipped!

If you don't like the idea of viewable cores then perhaps you would settle for the Blind battle mode where you can not see the cores or stats and skill for that matter.

Blind battles:
- Promotes bad play..
- Limits 'normal battle' players, and the game is already lacking players, so having a new battle feature which separates players isn't recommended.

^ Don't get me wrong I am not a fan of the idea at all.

I hate the idea of being blind into this game.

However I feel if they add this then they can actually make cores visible so at least the people who want blindl battles can have it while the rest of us gets a fully visible strategic battle which includes seeing your opponents cores.

Plus I know a lot of people who like the concept of a surprise in battles and blind mode will offer that.

Not only that it will also offer a lower difficulty which means they can start increasing the difficulty of the game mechanics for the people who like normal battles.
And they won't be harming their child friendly stance that Artix games stands for. Heck they might even be able to make the game more like it was pre artix ownership providing they can allow for younger players.

That's actually a lot of benefits for something we won't even use.

Wish I could Retweet this. And once again thanks for the feedback! But keep in mind it wont be "Blind Battles". Heres an example of what someones stats would look like when in battle

EX:
Max Helath: 700

Max Energy: 640

Focus: Focus Level 5

Primary: 558-592

Sidearm: 518-552

Auxiliary: 440-448

Robot: 450-486

Defense: 308-370

Resistance: 307-339

The entire Skill Tree will still be shown, along with damages.

Seeing Eachothers Build (Stats & Skill Tree)

I think that the game would be good to have 2 options. Wait i trying tell more. You can choose what mode you play. MODE---are you seen opponent/s info or not

Option 1
Mode: you can see opponent/s info/s

I can see the opponent's skills and stats.

+easy tactic mode. You can play very control way now.
+ This option we needing. Because wise player/game makers can see balance broplem this ways. (NOTE)
+This option give advance to option 2 because you can see opponents stat and skills.
-This gives less credits and experience. (75% to normal ??? NOTE)

Option 2
Mode: you cant see opponent/s info/s

+ small stats bonus ??? (NOTE) Bonus going to primary, gun, armor and aux. Item stats. Maybe 2-5 stat per item??? (NOTE)
- and + (both sides) You can make little stronger version of you but it cost your good tactic control to match.
- That does not see the opponent's skills and stats.
- This option hides change to figure balance broplems. (NOTE)

You have to choose what option you playing. OFF/ON stat and skill info.

NOTE. I put those purpose because i want seek better balance of those.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I support this old game style (option 1 only)
you and enemy see others infos. (stat and skills)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I support this 1 and 2 option same times.

1 option (see info) vs 1 option See info)
1 option (see info) vs 2 option (not see info)
2 option (not see info) vs 2 option (not see info)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I dont support 2 option alone. Biggest reason is. How to figured balance broplem?

My english isnt perfect but try figured what i mean. ;)
