no, enhancements was only needed pay to get, legendary rank is needed play to get (you still can pay the exp boost).

I think theyre fun. I wouldn't play anymore if they weren't here to be honest and a ton of players feel that way
reimburse me 50k Varium and you can take them. no? then I think I want them to stay

^ Your almost certainly going to be disappointed then , They're either going to get removed, heavily nerfed , or receive a much steeper matchmaking restriction on who they can face.

Its a matter of ED's survival and epicduel is a ghost town at the end game levels already.

Main reason the server number is always so low if you cant play the end game due to horrific balance why bother with the game at all?

@The Berserker killer; you used 50k varium on xp boost? so in other words this isn't a "insert x mount of time" rather "insert x amount of varium. Or are you exaggerating about spending 50k varium?

Also compared to your 50k varium, that was nothing compared to what most of us spent on enhancements.

He paid for the Exp, not the Legendary Ranks. Whatever can be done with Legendary Ranks, the Exp doesn't necessarily have to be wasted. The Mode could be revamped enitrely, and you'd still not be able to complain about your Varium or ask for refunds, since you got what you've paid for - Exp Boost. If you paid for the Legendary Slots, that's a different story, but Slots ≠ Exp Boost. Although, let them remove the Legendary Mode and there will be complaints again how they waste time on features that get removed later on just to cheat players off their money. <.<

This game wouldn't be such a big mess if Devs just slowly increased the Level Cap like previous phases and NOT add a terrible pseudo enhancement system (AKA Legendary Ranks).

I would rather have level cap that is attainable for casual and hardcore players and mixed with that, good content like new bosses and missions (satisfying hardcore players)

A game that allowed me to do 5-10 wins a day and still be at a good level range to play competitively has turned into an endless grind game that literally caters for the top 5% of the game.

For lols anyone else (L.38s) can expect to NPC until they are at a decent rank to PVP again.

Early on I and many other players said Legendary Ranks were a terrible idea, yet Devs did not listen. Now they face a big dilemma since the problem is growing bigger and bigger:
1. Remove ranks
2. Modify ranks so less PvP influence
3. Keep them

If they go with option 1 or 2 (which is the best option long term wise), unless the players are compensated well, Devs are going to lose a whole bunch of L.40s the same way they did when Devs did a poor compensation of enhancements. No one wants to spend hundreds of dollars just to get them removed and have 30% back with a cheevo instead. Obviously, I know Devs do not have to compensate (according to their rules) but that will be a big blow to player trust and numbers. I don't know of a single game that can survive after constantly ripping off players of their money. Hopefully, Devs can fix Ranks and maintain or improve the Player base we have right now.

You can't buy your way to being a good character. I've bought over around 34k total varium and I am just an above average player. If you want to be a good player what you need is experience and experimenting. Try builds out, understand how the game works, and never give up. there are 3 words that you should play by: retrain retrain retrain. Even if you have a working build make a new one, perhaps copy an interesting one you saw, but don't keep the same build for too long.

I don't mind a steepr matchmaking restricition... I actually say bring it on. 1v1s so much of a joke at the moment that every single high ranker barely ever loses. We need steeper matchmaking. But, since we're supposed to provide constructive criticism how about devs just input new bosses, stronger bosses, make Dage fightable, etc. Instead of nerfing it how about we just bring in more features that we can use Legendary Mode. Strip it away from PVP probably and make it a feature only accessible in future NPC matches with bigger and stronger NPCS. Or, since it's like a Power Up Mode, how about you make a tier only available once you aquire all the points for it? Lets look for ways to ADD new features rather then just nerf something.

We need to shift our thought process from "Nerf this, nerf that" to "Include more features to make this one feature more fair".

Funny how 99% of the nerfs players have suggested did nothing at all. Remember beginning Omega guys? Nerf Str Mercs-->Nerf TM caster-->Nerf 5 focus-->Nerf BM-->Then comes Passive to Active update-->Nerf Str-Supp TM-->Nerf BH-->Nerf mages lmao...

These nerfs did nothing yet players still suggest imo upsurd balance nerfs like nerfing TM battery. It will only reduce build variety. Buffs are generally more helpful than nerfs. I have never supported the above nerfs knowing this trend always happens not just in this game. Unless the skill/class can literally obliterate every class, I'd say no to nerfs. Help other classes (Ex. Shadow Arts is still not very good) not nerf perfectly fine classes.

Your problem is legend ranks should of never been implemented they benefit the minority rather then the majority, Leaving things as they are gives the impression its the last ditch attempt of a game dying and fearing becoming oversoul , nerfing is essential .

^So in a dying game you believe that they should forget about the "minority" and just cater the majority? Do you realize that the minority are mainly the people who support this game (financially)? The developers need to forge a solution that is fair to both parties, not just the "majority." One wrong move and bam removal of enhancements v2.0 which this game clearly can't afford. Many people in this forum (including me) have suggested that npcs be added to the pvp pool for this exact reason (the power between levels and legendary power gap). We need to be making everyone happy in this game, we can't just say screw you to the minority.

I will agree that Legendary Mode should've never been created with this kinda playerbase, but it's far too late for them to just remove/severely nerf them. We need solutions that benefit both parties, those are the only solutions EpicDuel can afford at this point. I'm also sure the developers are aware of this, which is why they're contemplating ideas that don't say screw you to their most loyal players.

ED failed at the beginning when it created a game that "Balance" was an essential requirement. Sadly fun and balance are not the same things, and in my opinion fun is more important than balance when it comes to a game. Although the idea of fun can be different for many players, fun can range from clutching a win due to skill/experience to doing ridiculous amount of damage.

For a game like this fun is at the expense of balance, if a playing is having fun at the expense of another player due to the game not being balanced then it would make perfect sense for players to request nerfs. Take for example, the introduction of TLM, the class had the most mouth watery skill tree you can imagine; yes it would be fun to play with that class, but not fun to the player that's playing against the TLM.

Sadly to say, the quest to balance the game trashed the fun aspect of it. Most of the nerfs were justified I.e Azreal gun/bazooka core, High strength massacre builds, Oped 5 focus builds that forced 90 percent of the players to become robot users.

Most of the things nerfed were game breaking, just like legendary rank that not breaks the game but also changes to mentality of the game into an "infinite grind no hope of reach a destination."

A fun game should cater to all factions of its fan base: example of fan base....

*People that play games for its competitive nature, the have fun if this need is satisfied( This player base was destroyed when win ratios/ loses were removed)
#Can be fixed by introducing hourly leader board

*People that play a game to be entertained.
# Sadly this game has turned into an endless grind

*People that play a game to relief stress and get away from the real world
#Due to lack of balance this game is very stressful and the constant changes the devs makes that seem to make little sense.

*People that play a game to attain the highest level
#This might seem weird but is true, getting to the highest level of a game is one of the biggest accomplishments of a game.Introduction of Legendary rank takes that away, it takes away the mentality that "one day I will attain the highest level of the game possible."

The introduction of Legendary rank does nothing but discourages the majority of the player base that's not hardcore players! Hardcore players of this game should not be satisfied at the expense of its causal players.

You know what is fun to most people in a game like this? Winning battles that is what. If they can't win they aren't having fun so for most winning = fun.

That is why we have so many bad balance changes and suggestions because most people want their build to conquer all and the moment their bane build (A build that counters them) appears and it becomes popular guess what? NERF IT SO I CAN WIN AGAIN! is what most say and people make suggestions on what they think will be the cure for their problem. Most don't care if this build already has counters or even if the build itself is balanced they just want anything that beat them removed or nerfed so they can bulldoze it.

Then when the staff gets enough pressure from the masses they do the nerfs and boom the same problem happens due to another build taking it's place due to another build rising to power. It has been like this for the longest and at this rate it will keep going as long as fun = winning.

@Mother, there was a time when losing had class. When battling players like Dax, Angel, Xederen e.t.c was fun even if it resulted in a lost.

Losing is fine but losing to abuse builds over and over to clone builds is not fine.
