release mission with time to completed and reset if the time over, e.g: 20 1v1 wins in 1 hours and it the time runs over reset the count.

Cleaned ~Battle Elf

say that does not matter if the testers can't do it or not, is not against any clearly rule why should it be cleaned?

No way, some people use slow build high % And for players who do 2v2 mostly, isn't fair.

However supported but only if they are daily missions.

You would have to balance challenge and downright impossible though.

If you make the missions that reward abuse builds you will see more abuse builds in the game. So I like the idea but that is my warning about it when it comes to what you think is a good win to time ratio

Since the Missions would favour quick wins, over ratio - due to having limited time to complete them - then yes, it does favour stat abuse builds, such as Strength and Support. In other words, anyone going for a good ratio (or doing 2v2) loses out on it, unless Mission is specifically locked into a specific mode (instead of PvP in general) - but players also seem to dislike being locked to a specific mode, literally, hence why we try to keep them as "PvP" and let players choose for themselves.

Also, all Missions need approval before they get implemented - that's why Testers exist. Not only that, it needs Devs' approval beforehand, whilst Testers will give feedback if the amount required is appropriate, or whether it should be lowered/increased.

I support. The only reason people want missions like this is because we are tired of the "same". Everyone now can get the same gear, the same look, the same weapons, same stats, all weapons are the same, all armors, same everything. With daily missions like this that hand out some unique prize there will finally be something "different" again.

I suggested a Champion set with a Champion Daily Mission Line. The first mission is 100 wins, second mission is 200 wins, 3rd mission is 300, last mission is 400. The rewards are as follow: Gun, Aux, Armor, Robot. Failure to complete all missions by reset will result in the missions refreshing hence you have to start over.

Is it hard? Yes. Is it nearly impossible to do 1000 wins? Yes (however charfade said that features must have space for players who can get 1000 wins, I will be happy to find the tweet for you). Is it fair? Yes. Would players finally get to brag about having something different and unique? Yes. I see no reason as to why this should not be implemented.

Edit: @ Anyone in this thread who says that these type of missions will favor stat abuse builds: You are wrong and that just proves how ineffective your skills are in this game and how inexperienced you are. In my experience of all my years playing this game the fastest wins haven't been decided because of stat abuse? Ch Massacre? Variation and Conquerors F5 Bm? Matt 1000s 1600 hp tech mage? Darkness Lords glass cannon build? Urfear&Krepaxs Various Blood Mage builds? Even Paradise with her 1k hp , nearly all even stats focus Build. All players which I have named dont abuse stats. They made effective builds and it sure is a shame that you guys think that stat abuse is the only way to get fast wins in this game. That just goes to show how inexperienced some of you are along with various testers.

Quick kill builds doesn't mean that they have horrible ratios. Now that's an insanely primitive way of thinking.

@TBK I'm not going to argue with you but there are players, myself included, who don't use quick kill builds or who prefer to play 2v2; so are we going to say these missions are made for the hardcore fans or the people who specialize in quick kill 1v1 builds? As for the 1### win comment that was about the highest number of wins the game has ever seen in one day. Is that possible today? Maybe, go test it if you want to find out. Personally I would suggest starting a new character as that is how it was done before.

@Everyone
If you want to do this hardcore mission right you will have to follow some rules.
  • Missions will have to be set for 1v1 wins or 2v2 wins not just PvP wins with a different number of wins in the same time. This makes it so there will be no extra missions in a day for one battle mode
  • Time will have to be possible(do not read as easy) for slow high% builds otherwise you are forcing people into quick kill builds. Players already complain when we change their play style in an update and rightfully so in some cases
  • Time would have to be set around an intended level range. We all know some ranges have faster matches than others so who are we catering for in this chain?

Along with setting up a fair challenge to all players you would have to have a reward that hardcore players want.

If you don't understand what I mean by a fair challenge go play any of the Souls games. They are fair but by no means are they easy

@owa: I'm not asking for an argument, I am sorry if it came off that way. All I'm am saying is that if you want two different chains, with the 2v2 chain having half of the 1v1 chain then by all means go for it. The point is that a mission chain such as the one suggested will give players something to brag about. As per the "quick-kill build" comment, are you implying that you purposely use builds that drag out a match or that you can't find a quick and effective build?

Once again, I am not asking for an argument. Just a discussion. And all I'm asking is that we stray from this idea that "Everything should be able to be easily achieved by everyone". That is really hurting the game because no one can stand out. Theres no challenge. Stars dont really have a meaning other than "I was around to do this and that mission" or "beat this and that npc". All I'm asking is that you guys give a mission chain like this a chance and see how many active players you'd get trying to get 1k wins and attain this champion set.

I'm just bringing forth ideas that players would like to see.

I purposely use builds that are designed to outlast burst damage builds because on the account I'm currently using opponents who don't end a fight quickly don't have a late game play very often. I also understand this works less towards the late game but I enjoy the way early game works more than late game.

My main late game account uses a SC build that normally goes to SC or one round past which I would call a quick kill due to it being burst damage and the build not being as effective in the later rounds

Ok. So youre using the build that works best. Which means that it should be safe to say that the majority of players tend to use the builds that work best in order to attain their goal. In this case:winning. This mission chain will offer another goal: A prize that players could show off! A prize that is different than your basic achievement or gear that says "I was around during this time". This prize will be one of the only prizes that will ultimately define a players skill (with the exceptions being daily champs and some boss cheevos). Sure, it encourages quick kill builds but then again the goal is to win, and alot of individuals prefer to win quickly.

Now dont get me wrong. We have time. We don't have to limit ourselves to this one mission chain that will encourage fast wins (just as daily achievements encourage fast wins) because just like the daily achievements, once acquired players tend to lose a bit of interest in them. In that case, implement features that would encourage what you guys would refer to as "slow-kill" builds. A feature that would encourage this is Kill Streak Cheevos.

There is no reason to limit ourselves. We've gotta keep the game growing

I would like to point something down here, very quick and clean, Dfo99's idea isn't wrong, sure these "hardcore" missions promote for strenght builds, but here is the thing, the problem is presenting such hardcore missions in imbalanced PVP environement. When strenght builds give fast kills and high winning ratio, you can't blame players for abusing these builds, fast kills is a legit caracterstic of strenght builds, but winning ratio is not, both can't be combined in same build, otherwise you will kill variety, and other builds with it. Make str builds give fast kills only with decent wining ratio. Present these missions. Because here is how how it works. Using a strenth build means fast kills, but decent winniing ratio (when there was balance back then), which means in one hour you can do 20 1vs1s, very fast, but still end up with 12 wins and 8 losses. Using a 5 focus, which is a very slow build granting slow wins, but high winning ration, you will end up doing 10 PVP battles in one hour but you end up getting 9 wins out of the 10. When the total opposite happens, which what's happening right now, you end up having fast wins with str builds, and a great wininng ratio, what's hardcore about this.
Harcore: Doing hardcore missions in a balanced environement.
1st step I believe is balancing the game, then presenting such missions, to avoid promoting more for X builds.

I frankly think one of the two should exist, and not both:
    Ranks Or hardcore missions.

If there are ranks, there should be no hardcore missions, otherwise hardcore will be for some (low rank players), and easycore will be for some (high rank players), the reason why hardcore players ask for hardcore missions, because they have advantage with ranks, that advantage grants them easy wins, allowing them to ask for missions requiring a lot of pvp wins. What to do?
Take ranks from them, give hardcore missions, 20k pvp wins, I'm sure that will shut up the majority for sometime. If they speak again, give them 55k pvp wins. And so on.
This system could've used instead of ranks, since they won't create imbalance the game, and also keeping leveling up system, will give the game always a possibility to expand.
There is one way only to combine both, balance ranks.

What is so hardcore about a mission where you only do to complete is click on strike? That's the concept of strenght builds. Using a 5 focus builds means you will do different moves according to the build/class/rank you are facing, when using a strength build, you do same moves for anyone you are facing, what is so hardcore about this? it's funny when some players ask for hardcore, but in the same time wanting fast and easy wins. That's not how it goes.

Then don't ask next time why your suggestions don't get implemented. It's easy to suggest but hard to implement, when you have to implement, you need to look at the big picture, and not to one players needs.

the win ratio is more important for this type of missions, because is better a delayed win than a fast lose for this purpose.

^ Wining ratio requires a steady build, 5 focus or a tank build, sure grants a good winning ratio, but what about fast wins?

      Battle Elf
    has ten 1v1 wins

I've brought this suggestion to the team's attention and it won't be implemented due to the massive coding hurdle and overlap with pre-existing daily missions. The current in-game time system runs off a timer in EST (this already creates problems with daylight savings time and timezones). The rework would be an extensive project that would be fairly low priority. Daily missions are aimed at more casual players, so they will remain lower difficulty, while max-level players have the recently released hardcore missions to struggle with. Interesting idea, but unfortunately this won't be implemented in the near future.

    As such, padlocked.

    Thanks,
    Battle Elf
