This guide is for players who stopped playing AdventureQuest Worlds for a while and are now returning to the game. Since AQW gets updated every week, there are many releases to sort through, which can be confusing at times. This guide seeks to organize those releases in an easy-to-understand manner. For extra, more detailed information, you can also check out the AQWWiki's Chronicle of Releases. You can also read the Design Notes for in-depth information on releases.

In this guide, releases are listed by year in ascending order (later releases are at the bottom), starting with the first release after Beta testing closed in 2008. Releases are organized by what storyline they belong to, with one-shot releases appearing at the bottom. Seasonal releases, such as holidays and birthdays, are placed in a separate section at the start of the guide. If possible, releases will be linked to their corresponding design notes post. At the top of each section for a certain year, there is an overview summarizing the events of the year.

Rare releases will not be included in this guide. Legend-only releases will be marked in bold.

Class Releases


Notes:
  • Many classes in here are farmable, but for those who don't want to farm them, most of them are obtainable with 2000 ACs from the Class Shop in the Game Menu and Battleon. Also, I don't have exact dates for some of the classes, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
  • Legend-only classes are in bold, and seasonal classes are in italics.

Released before and during Beta

Acolyte, the healer upgrade class that can be obtained from Juvania in /trainers

Assassin, a ninja clone class that can be obtained from Mazumi in /greenguardwest.

Beast Warrior, a legend-only class that can be obtained from Ragnar in /battleon.

Beserker, obtained from either Ragnar in /battleon or Thok in /trainers.

Classic Pirate, obtained from completing Elissa Keelhaul's Quests in /pirates.

Enforcer, dropped from the Mithril Man at /crashsite.

Ninja, a rogue-like class that can be bought from Mazumi in /greenguardwest.

No Class, the class that's equipped by default if your membership expires while you have a legend-only class equipped. Also obtainable during Thanksgiving from the /harvest map.

Renegade, a Rogue upgrade class from Metrea in /trainers.

Sorcerer, Mage upgrade class from Arcana in /trainers.

Warlord, Warrior upgrade class from Thok in /trainers.

??? - DoomKnight, a darkness-aligned class that can be obtained from Dusk in /shadowfall.

??? - Dragonslayer, a class specifically made for taking down dragons (/lair).

??? - Paladin, a goodness-themed class for Legends in /lightguard and /necropolis.

??? - ProtoSartorium, a mechanical class dropped by the ProtoSartorium in /crashsite.

??? - Pumpkin Lord, a pumpkin-themed Mogloween class available in /mogloween.

??? - Rustbucket, a reward class from Taravya's quests in /crashsite.

May 7, 2010 - Bard, a music-themed support class that requires Rank 4 Mythsong, found in /mythsong.

May 21, 2010 - Dragonlord, a special offer class obtained by upgrading in DragonFable (/tower).

May 21, 2010 - StarLord, a special offer class obtained by upgrading in MechQuest (/tower).

July 16, 2010 - Defender, a special class that can be obtained by upgrading in AdventureQuest, DragonFable, or MechQuest, which are other AE games (/tower).

July 21, 2010 - Guardian, a special-offer class that can be obtained by upgrading in AdventureQuest (/tower).

October 01, 2010 - Shaman, the Rank 10 Arcangrove farming class (/arcangrove).

April 01, 2011 - Master Ranger, the Sandsea Rank 10 class.

June 10, 2011 - Necromancer, the rank 10 Doomwood soloing class (/necrotower).

July 02, 2011 - Silver Paladin, a variation of the Paladin class, obtained in /lightguard and /necropolis.

July 8, 2011 - Chaos Shaper, a special offer class that can only be obtained from your book of lore by purchasing fifteen months of membership.

July 29, 2011 - Evolved Shaman, a Rank 10 Arcangrove magic-based class (/arcangrove).

July 29, 2011 - UndeadSlayer, a Rank 10 Doomwood class that specializes in killing the undead (/lightguard and /necropolis).

December 02, 2011 - Horc Evader, a horc-themed class that comes with a battle pet and requires Rank 10 Horc rep (/bloodtusk).

December 02, 2011 - Troll Spellsmith, the Troll Rank 10 class that can be found in /bloodtusk.

February 17, 2012 - MindBreaker, a special legend class for those who have bought 12k AC. Found in the Book of Lore.

February 24, 2012 - SkyGuard Grenadier, the Skyguard Rank 10 class found in /skyguard and /chaosguard.

March 2, 2012 - Elemental Dracomancer, a dragon-themed class from the Etherstorm saga that requires Rank 10 Etherstorm rep (/firestorm).

March 28, 2012 - Blood Ancient, a vampire-themed class that can be obtained after completing Orlok's quests in /safiria.

May 08, 2012 - DoomKnight OverLord, a class obtained from the Book of Lore by purchasing the Sepulchure Action Figure from HeroMart.

May 08, 2012 - Paladin Highlord, a class obtained from the Book of Lore by purchasing the Artix Action figure from HeroMart.

June 1, 2012 - DeathKnight, a darkness class found in /necropolis, requiring Rank 10 Doomwood rep.

June 29, 2012 - Pyromancer, a firey nuking class that is obtained through daily quests (/xancave).

November 21, 2012 - Thief of Hours, the ChronoSpan Rank 10 class based around time (/thespan).

January 02, 2013 - Prismatic ClawSuit, an Evolved Clawsuit Class clone that... that's pretty much it. Nothing too special about this class. Can be found in Tinsel's shop in Battleon during Frostval.

January 11, 2013 - Healer, one of the default starter classes, but updated with new skills (/trainers).

January 11, 2013 - Mage, one of the default starter classes, but updated with new skills (/trainers).

January 11, 2013 - Ranger, Master Ranger clone class that can be bought for 2000 AC in the Class Shop (/battleon).

January 11, 2013 - Rogue, one of the default starter classes, but updated with new skills (/trainers).

January 11, 2013 - Warrior, one of the default starter classes, but updated with new skills (/trainers).

February 15, 2013 - Alpha Omega, an EpicDuel-themed class that can still be obtained from the Class Shop from various locations with 1,000 ACs.

March 03, 2013 - NOT A MOD, a special class that can be obtained from buying the NOT A MOD T-shirt from Heromart. Found in the Book of Lore.

March 29, 2013 - Darkblood StormKing, a farming and soloing class based on the Darkblood race in Thunderforge. Requires Rank 10 Thunderforge rep (/falguard).

May 03, 2013 - Blood Titan, a class that can be obtained by legend-only farming (talk to Shi Mar in /greenguardeast).

June 29, 2013 - Evolved Leprechaun, a luck-based Leprechaun class that is only available during Luck Day (/luck).

July 05, 2013 - Exalted Soul Cleaver, a legion class that costs 2000 Legion Tokens (/underworld).

July 09, 2013 - Ninja Warrior, a ninja clone class that can be bought from the Ninja Warrior shop in /akiba.

July 23, 2013 - Legendary Hero / Dark Legendary Hero, classes that can be obtained if you've upgraded at least one time, from the book of lore.

August 02, 2013 - ArchFiend / Legendary Archfiend, a Nulgath class that can be bought with 2,000 ACs from the NPC in the first room of /tercessuinotlim or merged with 30 Fiend Tokens for legends.

August 24, 2013 - Alpha DOOMmega, excactly the same as the Alpha Omega class, can be obtained if you have Treasure Potions from the Wheels of Destiny and Doom.

October 4, 2013 - BattleMage / Royal Battlemage, a Swordhaven class that requires 2000 ACs or Rank 10 Swordhaven rep (/castle).

October 25, 2013 - Oracle, a free healer class (0 AC!) from the class shop in /battleon.

November 29, 2013 - Dark BattleMage, a Black Friday version of the BattleMage class only available during that occasion.

January 17, 2014 - Legendary Elemental Warrior / Ultra Elemental Warrior, two classes with the same element-themed skillset. Can be obtained by being a legend and having various factions ranked up, or paying with ACs from Vinara in Battleon Town.

March 27, 2014 - Arachnomancer, a spider-themed support class that requires rank 10 Ravenloss, found in /ravenloss.

June 6, 2014 - Chaos Slayer Classes, four classes with different art and the same skills released for the Chaos finale. Requires Rank 10 Chaos (/mountdoomskull).

September 5, 2014 - BeastMaster, a legend-only farmable class that you can still use after your membership expires. Requires Rank 10 BeastMaster rep (/northpointe).

September 19, 2014 - Legendary Naval Commander / Heroic Naval Commander, seasonal pirate classes that can be bought from Quibble for 2000 ACs (/battleon) or for 100k gold as a legend.

October 03, 2014 - Sentinel, a special Upholder class that can be obtained from the Book of Lore by upgrading during the AQW anniversary each year.

October 31, 2014 - Lycan, a werewolf-based class that can be bought with Rank 10 Lycan rep at /lycan.

December 12, 2014 - Flame Dragon Warrior, a class available to those who have purchase the "Flame Dragon Warrior Package" or the Founder Package in Adventure Quest Dragons. Found in the Book of Lore.

December 17, 2014 - Dark Cyromancer, a dark version of the Cyromancer class that can be purchased by legends for 2000 ACs.

December 19, 2014 - Cyromancer, an ice-themed class that can be obtained through doing daily quests in /frozentower.

January 05, 2015 - Legion Paladin, a class than can be obtained by purchasing a Legion t-shirt and a Paladin Armor t-shirt from Heromart.

May 15, 2015 - Blazebinder, a "tier 3" farming class obtatained in the /fireforge map with Rank 10 Doomwood Reputation, Rank 10 Embersea Reputation, and the Pyromancer class.

July 10, 2015 - The Collector, a merge class requiring a lot of daily quests in /collection.

September 26, 2015 - Pirate, the revamp of the Classic Pirate class. Found in the /blazebeard and /manacannon maps.

November 15, 2015 - Infinity Knight, the 2016 calendar class. Purchase the 2016 calendar from HeroMart to get this class from the Book of Lore.

October 30, 2015 - Evolved Pumpkin Lord, a Mogloween pumpkin-themed class obtained from the /cruxshadows map.

January 28, 2016 - StoneCrusher, a "tier 3" party-buffer class obtained in the /brightoak map, requiring Rank 10 Brightoak Reputation, Rank 10 Arcangrove Reputation, and Rank 10 Mythsong Reputation.

May 20, 2016 - Chrono Assassin, a time-themed class that can be farmed for in the /tachyon map.

April 22, 2016 - DeathKnight Lord, the class from the /bonecastle release that can be farmed for with a daily quest.

June 10, 2016 - Daimon, a farming class from the /baconcat map.

June 17, 2016 - Drakel Warlord, a class from the Death Pit Arena from the class shop in /battleon.

July 15, 2016 - Eternal Inversionist, a six-target farming class that requires Rank 10 Eternal rep (/fourdpyramid).

August 5, 2016 - Dragonslayer General, another dragon-slaying class that requires Rank 10 Dragonslayer (/dragontown).

August 05, 2016 - Great Thief, a dodging-based class that can be purchased only with ten HeroPoints (/heromart).

August 26, 2016 - Scarlet Sorceress, an farming class that can be obtained from turning in the Blood Sorceress class in the /towerofmirrors map (previously a boss drop).

October 14, 2016 - ArchPaladin, a soloing class that stack debuffs that can be obtained in the /darkthronehub map. It has a lot of requirements to obtain it, such as having Rank 10 Good Reputation, and also has a series of quests with low drop rate items that need to be completed in order to obtain the class.

December 09, 2016 - ShadowWalker of Time / ShadowStalker of Time, the 2017 Calendar class. ShadowStalker is a copy of the ShadowWalker of Time class that doesn't require a calendar to be bought to obtain. Found in the Book of Lore or /battleontown.

December 30, 2016 - Glacial Berserker, an ice-themed soloing class - slow but effective. Requires Rank 10 Glacera rep (/icewindpass).

January 20, 2017 - Void Highlord, the most hard-core farming class in AQW! Find it in /tercessuinotlim - not for people who don't want to spend months farming!

January 27, 2017 - Classic Paladin, a paladin class with the original Paladin skills at /lightguard.

January 06, 2017 - LightCaster, a top-tier farming class, available in /celestialrealm after buying the Evolved LightCaster armor (which comes around every September for Aranx's birthday), getting the LightMage class, and completing a farming quest.

March 03, 2017 - Legion Doomknight, the new version of Legion Doomknight (old class was renamed to "Classic Legion Doomknight), which is obtainable with 2,000 Legion Tokens or ACs in /underworld during Dage's Birthday.

June 16, 2017 - Classic Doomknight, the class with the original skills of the DoomKnight class (/shadowfall).

September 29, 2017 - Naval Commander, a class with the same skills as Heroic / Legendary Naval Commander, but AC-tagged. Requires one of those classes to get in /pirates.

October 13, 2017 - Vampire Lord, a Mogloween-themed farming class that can be merged in /mogloween.

November 27, 2017 - Eternal Chronomancer, the 2018 Calendar class. Found in the Book of Lore after buying the calendar.

December 15, 2017 - Immortal Chronomancer, like the above class, but doesn't require a calendar to purchase (it requires 6K ACs to buy).

March 09, 2018 - Blood Sorceress, the new version of the dropable version of Scarlet Sorceress. Can be used to merge Scarlet Sorceress (/towerofmirrors).

March 09, 2018 - Soul Cleaver / Exalted Soul Cleaver / Dark Harbinger, legion classes with the same skillset. Can be found in /underworld.

September 14, 2018 - LightMage, because the method to obtaining LightCaster was changed. Now, you have to obtain this class, first. Buy the seasonal Evolved Lightcaster armor during Aranx's birthday and talk to him in /celestialrealm.

October 19, 2018 - ShadowScythe General Class, a farmable class for AQW's 10th anniversary. Get it at /shadowfall.

October 19, 2018 - Master of Moglins, a class that can be obtained by buying moglin plushies. Find it in your Book of Lore.

??? - Corrupted Chronomancer, the 2019 calendar class whose skills change based on a misc. item. Find it in your Book of Lore.

December 21, 2018 - Frostval Barbarian, a Frostval-themed AoE class at /frostvale.

March 01, 2019 - Infinite Dark Caster, a class with the skills of the Evolved Dark Caster. This can be found in Dage's Birthday Shop each year.

March 01, 2019 - Timeless Dark Caster, a class with the skills of the Arcane Dark Caster. This can be found in Dage's Birthday Shop each year.

March 08, 2019 - Immortal Dark Caster, a class with the skills of the original Dark Caster. This can be found in Dage's Birthday Shop each year.

May 24, 2019 - Legion Revenant, the Tier 2 Dark Caster Class (/revenant).

June 07, 2019 - HighSeas Commander, the 10 Years Played Achievement Tracker reward (/highseas).

June 07, 2019 - Grim Necromancer, the 600,000 AdventureCoins Achievement Tracker reward (/grimtea).

Holidays

Note: Most holiday releases are seasonal and can only be played during a certain period of the year. However, there are some holiday releases that can be played year-round. These releases are marked in italics. Friday the 13th releases are seasonal for non-legends only - they can be played by legends year-round.


New Year's

December 30, 2009 - New Year's 2010, celebrate the New Year with Lim the Mad Scientist (/newyear).

December 30, 2011 - New Year's 2012, stop Iadoa the Chaorrupted Chronomancer from destroying the timestream (/newyearlab).

December 28, 2012 - New Year's 2013, work with the Lumina Votari to save the sun from the Nocturan Creed (/darksun).

January 03, 2014 - New Year's 2015, track down Embermane and restore daylight to Lore (/frostmane).

December 30, 2015 - New Year's 2016, stop the Queen of Monsters' invasion of the town of Northpointe (/grimattack).

January 06, 2017 - New Year's 2017, where a virus takes over the Archives of Time, creating a strange alternate universe (/cathedral). Gear from the merge shop is seasonal, but the map itself is not.

December 29, 2017 - New Yeti's Eve, help Moknak the Yeti participate in a tradition of the Yeti Tribe to celebrate the New Year (/everfrost).


Yokai New Year

February 12, 2010 - Yokai New Year 2010, complete Ai No Miko's quests to get lucky envelopes (/akiba).

February 04, 2011 - Yokai New Year 2011, help Princess Miko save the Four Creatures of the World from the Nian (/akiba).

January 31, 2014 - Yokai New Year 2014, help the forest horse spirit Senlin-Ma discover what's been corrupting Jingshen Forest (/akiba).

February 04, 2014 - Ultra Yaomo Challenge, a high-leveled version of the previous map (/akiba).

February 05, 2016 - Carnaval and Yokai New Year Festival, the special event for when the two holidays occurred on the same day (/parades).

January 27, 2017 - Yokai New Year 2017, where this time you beat up a flaming chickencow (/akiba).

February 02, 2018 - Yokai New Year 2018, nothing much this year - a new boss, Zhongchéng, was added, along with a new set (/akiba).

February 01, 2019 - Year of the Boar, fight the Honorable Boar for gear drops in /akiba.

February 08, 2019 - Save the Honorable Boar Spirit, help Miko free Zhu the Honorable Boar from his dream (/zhu).


Carnaval

February 08, 2013 - Carnaval 2013, celebrate this event at /carnaval.

February 28, 2014 - Carnaval 2014, stop Baron Sunday from destroying the island of /terradefesta.

February 05, 2016 - Carnaval and Yokai New Year Festival, the special event for when the two holidays occurred on the same day (/parades).

February 24, 2017 - Carnaval 2017, where an old villain returns to disrupt the Carnaval (/firebird).

February 02, 2018 - Carnaval 2018, the Honra Selvagem armor set was added to Ultra Bello (/firebird).

March 08, 2019 - Fight the Darkness, bring back the fire of the Boitata in /darkfesta.


Heroes Heart Day

February 12, 2010 - Heroes Heart Day 2010, travel to /love and play matchmaker.

February 10, 2012 - Love's Curse, help Moore and Jeluti escape the Underworld in this release (/lovescurse).

February 14, 2014 - Beleen's Dream Island, search for Beleen after she runs off in pursuit of her bulloon (/beleensdream).

February 13, 2015 - NecROMANCE, where you help Jagger win the love of Nastasia, a perfectly normal girl. Like all Friday the 13th events, this one involves Voltaire (/necromance). This release is seasonal for Hero's Heart Day.

February 12, 2016 - Love Lockdown, free Lore from the Unrequited Love monster in this Hero's Heart Day release (/lovelockdown).

February 10, 2017 - Wheel of Love, play in Swaggy and Beleen's Hero's Heart Day game show (/wheeloflove).

February 09, 2018 - Swaggy's Chateau, help Beleen fix people's relationships after Swaggy messes them up majorly (/chateau).

February 15, 2019 - The Stone of Eternal Friendship, find a life-giving ancient artifact that totally won't have negative consequences in /wubbles.


Lucky Day

March 17, 2009 - Lucky Day 2009, look for the pot of gold at the end of the /rainbow.

March 12, 2010 - Lucky Day 2010, play luck-based mini-games at /luck.

March 18, 2016 - Lucky Day 2016, in which you help Galanoth slay the fabled Luck Dragon (/luckdragon).

March 16, 2018 - Lucky Day 2017, void-themed and legion-themed items added along with a new minigame (/luck).

March 15, 2019 - Enter the Fairy Grove, farm Faerie Court reputation for fairy-themed gear at /faegrove.


Grenwog

April 10, 2009 - Grenwog 2009, hunt for eggs across Lore and fight the Grenwog (/grenwog).

March 25, 2016 - Grenwog 2016, travel to the past to defeat the original Jurassic Grenwog (/grenstory).

April 07, 2017 - Grenwog 2017, hunt for eggs across Lore to unlock a set of gear (find Cabdury in /battleon for the quests).

March 16, 2018 - Grenwog 2018, the Cuddly Grenwogslayer set is added as a drop to the Grenwog. Set comes with a 20% bonus to gold (/grenwog).


April Fools

April 01, 2015 - April Fools 2015, where Battleon Town was turned into an 8-bit version of itself (/digitalmain).

April 01, 2016 - April Fools 2016, the April Fool's event for 2016 (/aqw3d).


Solar New Year

April 05, 2019 - Water War Festival, help Aquella the Water Elf celebrate a Songkran Festival-inspired holiday and fight solar monsters (/waterwar).


Earth Day

April 23, 2010 - Earth Day 2010, help Captain Lore stop General Pollution from polluting Lore (/pollution).

April 04, 2014 - Earth Day 2014, stop Toltengeld Industries from polluting all of Lore (/toltengeld).

April 12, 2019 - Earth Day Returns, fight Commodore Core in /pollution.


Indonesia's Independence Day

August 16, 2013 - Panjat Pinang, celebrate Panjat Pinang at /events.


Talk Like a Pirate Day

September 19, 2014 - Talk Like Pirate Day 2014, Part 1, find more loot in this war between the navy and the pirates (/piratewar).

September 26, 2014 - Talk Like Pirate Day 2014, Part 2, at /hiddendepths.

September 18, 2015 - Talk Like Pirate Day 2015, take down the dread Captain Blazebeard in /blazebeard.

September 16, 2016 - The Midnight War, Part 1, where two opposing pirate factions of vampires and werewolves duke it out (/midnightcrown).

September 23, 2016 - The Midnight War, Part 2, where you fight the boss of the Midnight War (/midnightwar). Most of the Midnight War gear went rare after the release was over, but there's still some left that may be worth getting.

September 15, 2017 - Talk Like a Pirate Day 2017, help Captain Rhubarb defend Lolosia against the Kajiu Corsairs (/kaijuwar).

September 22, 2017 - Kaiju War Finale, defeat Captain Kraylox and his kaiju Klashex (/kaijuwar).

September 21, 2018 - Curse of the Sea King, help Captain Rhubarb find (steal) the Heart of the Sea (/heartofthesea).

September 28, 2018 - Curse of the Sea King WAR, defend Captain Rhubarb's ship from the pirates that are attacking (/cetoleonwar).

Note: The They Might Be Giants crossover event went rare when AQWorlds reached its fourth birthday, but was re-released later on without the rares and event characters.

October 14, 2011 - AQWorld's 2nd Birthday, Part 1, help said the band They Might Be Giants escape from the Collector's dome (/collection).

October 21, 2011 - AQWorld's 2nd Birthday, Part 2, continue trying to defy the Collector and escape from his collection (/prehistoric).

October 19, 2012 - AQWorld's 3rd Birthday, the place where the devs make their games (/undergroundlab).

October 11, 2013 - AQWorld's 4th Birthday, Part 1, see AQW staff members inside of the game (/battlecon).

October 18, 2013 - AQWorld's 4th Birthday, Part 2, stop Ultra Brutalcorn in /undergroundlabb.

October 17, 2008 - Mogloween 2008, Part 1, help the Cauldron Sisters celebrate Mogloween in Mystcroft Forest (/mogloween).

October 31, 2008 - Mogloween 2008, Part 2, beat up a pumpkin monster to get drops (/mogloween).

October 16, 2009 - Mogloween 2009, Part 1, complete some new quests in /mogloweengrave.

In 2009, the main storyline of AQW, the 13 Lords of Chaos, started. The Hero of Lore fought the Chaos Lords Escherion and Vath, and started the Akiba storyline. Also, Nythera had a few releases in her saga at the end of the year.

Overview of the Year
In 2010, the Hero of Lore defeated Chaos Lords Kitsune and Wolfwing, and traveled to Mythsong to stop the chaorruption there. After that, they went to Arcangrove to defeat Chaos Lord Ledgermayne. In Yulgar's Inn, they told a parody of Jack and the Beanstalk to a bunch of kids, and Cysero.

In Etherstorm, the Hero tried to stop Desoloth, the dragon, with the help of some elemental dragon priests. Legends got to travel through the skies in the Skyguard saga. The Hero also returned to Doomwood to discover a secret about the Empress of the Shadowscythe. In the Span, the Hero learned about their past through other AE games.

Overview of the Year
In 2015, the Hero traveled through a crossover event with the book Za'nar: Impossibility. Then, they started the new main storyline of AQW: the Queen of Monsters by traveling to the Ring of Fire Islands. After that, they went to Brightoak, where the Queen was spreading her corruption. In the summer, some of the former developers of the game (Artix, Beleen, and Cysero) returned to write releases of their own. The Hero also learned about Dage's past and Laken's future-ish past.

Overview of the Year
After the Queen of Monsters sent two of her children (Extriki and Kolyaban) to attack Lore, the Queen of Monsters saga went on a break. Instead, the 7 Deadly Dragons storyline started, about the Hero and Galanoth tracking down and fighting the 7 deadliest dragons on Lore - all representing a deadly sin.

January 20, 2017 - Seraphic Reaper: Origins, learn about Laken's past and how he met Ada in this installment in Laken and Dage's saga (/laken).

March 31, 2017 - The Plane of Ice, where the Hero learns the truth about Abel (/iceplane).

May 19, 2017 - Enter the Void, where you challenge monsters in this callback to the original AdventureQuest (/thevoid). This release comes with several Loremaster houses (/librarium) and a raising of the level cap to level 85.

June 01, 2017 - Daimyo's Wishing Fountain. Sadly, Daimyo passed away earlier that year. The fountain in the middle of /battleontown has been changed to a statue of Daimyo in remembrance, with an obtainable Daimyo fountain house item.

June 23, 2017 - Quibble's Hunt, track down where Quibble's time fairies have gone and fight a Dricken (/quibblehunt).

Overview of the Year
The 7 Deadly Dragons Saga concluded and so did Laken's story. Galanoth recounted the Great Fire War, and we helped Ai no Miko battle the Shogun of Shadows. Then we had many releases chronicling Sepulchure's transformation from Alteon's friend to leader of the Shadowscythe.


7 Deadly Dragons

January 12, 2018 - Wrath, Part 2, defeat Gorgorath, the last Deadly Dragon, in the Dragons' Boneyard (/dragonbone).


Zone Revitalizations

January 26, 2018 - Battleon + Greenguard Revitalization, where the AQW team goes back and reworks Battleon and Greenguard to be more streamlined (/battleon, /battleontown, /greenguardwest, /greenguardeast, and more!).

February 23, 2018 - Prologue Revitalization, where the Prologue is reformatted (/portalundead and related maps). Plus, an old war, the Horc War, returns with new rewards (/warhorc).

April 06, 2018 - Return to Oaklore + Undead War, Oaklore Keep, the tutorial, is modified with a new set, and the Undead War returns with new gear (/oaklore and /warundead).

May 04, 2018 - Return to Vasalkar's Lair, Valsalkar's Lair is modified, and a new map, /underlair, is added.

June 01, 2018 - 1st Lord of Chaos Saga Revitalization, Chiral Valley gets a revitalization. Plus, you can now battle higher-level versions of the Hyrda (/hydrachallenge).

July 20, 2018 - Return to Dwarfhold, the 2009 Dwarfhold War returns at /wardwarf.

August 03, 2018 - Return to Yokai, a Yokai Revitalization and a new boss drop set at /odokuro.


Dage and Laken's Saga

March 23, 2018 - Seraphic Paladin Finale, Part 1, help Laken and the Seraphic Order sneak into the World Core to defeat the Undead Legion (/worldcore).

March 30, 2018 - Seraphic Paladin Finale, Part 2, side with either Dage and Laken in this war release to determine the fate of Laken and Ada! ...Or not, since the war's over now (/seraphicwar).

September 07, 2018 - Shogun of Shadows Saga Finale, help Ai no Miko defeat the Shogun of Shadows and his 8-headed dragon (/shadowfortress).


Great Fire War

May 11, 2018 - Ashenvale, help Galanoth save the village of Ashenvale from Akriloth and his army of fire dragons (/firewar).
