I suppose the argument of us being unable to use the fountain in a quest would give more support to why we could have such an additional feature, but I still don't see why we should have it at all. SP regeneration is already quick enough as is. There must be some reason why a full sp heal hasn't happened yet. And I doubt it was just an idea nobody thought of. Even with the existing methods of sp restoration, there are random topics that come up in support of adding limits so do you think it's a good idea to suddenly have a one click full sp option? I'm fine with the way things are. It may take a bit longer to fill up the bar, but it's still quick enough. This addition to the fountain would be a convenience but not a necessity.

Having a one-click HP and MP restoration option isn't a "necessity" either, but here we are. I just find it hilarious that you want to impose extra limitations on one (1) resource bar (for the record, HP and MP restoration aren't exactly difficult either), but are fine with it not extending to the rest. Man, that mage privilege must sure be nice.

But unlike SP, health and mana do not have natural restoration throughout a fight. We gain SP through combat. It's not true for health and mana so those need a way to be replenished after a fight. And while we may have means of recovering both through the use of spells, skills, and potions, that takes up a turn which could have been used for dealing damage. I think most sp regeneration options we have don't take up a turn and with skills being quite powerful, why should it be made easier to spam them without even taking up a turn of battle? You might think adding SP regen to the fountain is a good thing but it will only change things for the worse. I mean, why else hasn't this been done before?

Yeah, and that passive SP regeneration is generally eaten up by miscs. What's your point? I know they aren't assumed in battle logistics, but let's be honest: everyone uses them anyway. They probably should be.

Again, you wouldn't be able to access the fountain between fights in an actual quest or a war (you know, the stuff that actually matters), so why are you taking its proposed addition so personally? Adding it to the game won't suddenly make RAs any easier -- just more convenient, and we all know that forced inconvenience isn't exactly a stand-in for difficulty.

And it probably hasn't been added because nobody thought of it until now. Heck, until fairly recently, feasible SP regen outside of UGS and VamPOGlin Lord was kind of a scarcity.

Don't you think adding SP regeneration to the fountain would have happened already if it's as simple or lacking of impact as you think? SP is so powerful that there has to be some limitations on it. For convenience, it could very well be a thing, but it isn't needed. We've been fine without such a thing for quite a while now anyway. I'm against the idea simply because I think it'll upset the already delicate balance of power the game has. If skills weren't as overpowered, sure such an addition to the fountain would be fine. Unfortunately, that isn't the case.

It's because of the new additions of sp restoration that I don't see this feature added to the fountain as necessary. If this were back before we had things like essence orb, then yes, I'd be all for adding such a feature to the game, but sp regeneration is made easy enough already.

But because EO exists, no harm will come of adding this functionality. Instead of spam-clicking EO 20x at the CPT (which takes all of 10 secs), you'd just click the fountain. This doesn't make skills any more powerful or spammable. People are going to be abusing them with or without this update. We're just taking out the middleman (the CPT).

-EDIT- This would also serve to make things marginally less annoying for FD chars. For instance, my ranger, who doesn't use skills, doesn't carry EO in active.

Sorry I do not like necroing threads but the year is almost over and did we ever get an update on the stat-system that certainly got the most votes?

I mean we got the CIT/poelala/dynamis update thats kinda related, but anything else?
