Today I was looking at the new promotional gun with the core Frozen Rift. The buff of 10% made it have good damage against high HP builds, so I was like, wow this should be better than Azrael's Punisher. But obviously, I am making this forum post. I tested Blood Bullet verses Frozen Rift on a friend with 1500 hp and 296-330 resistance and I have 738-808 sidearm damage. I tested 10 times with both guns (which may not represent the whole population but the numbers are quite different) With Frozen Rift I should do (738-808) + 150 which is 888-958 If I average the resistance and my damage, I should get a rough damage average of 610. When I compare this to my actual results, my actual results have a 5.6 damage decrease, which is reasonable because I didn't do many test. With Azrael's Punisher, I should do (738-808)*1.15 which is 848.7-929.2, and an average of 888.95. This average is a bit higher than the minimum of Frozen Rift, which makes sense because it's only 115% of sidearm damage. If I subtract the average of his resistance and the gun, I get a rough damage average of 575.95. When I test, the average I get is 645, which is just a *tad* bit higher, and the max with my testing was 683 which is 100 higher than the average. Clearly, the Azrael's Punisher calculation isn't 115%, or it's 115% of something else that I am unaware of (but I don't know what it could be) without numbers being too off of the results that I found from my tests. Final Result: Azrael's Punisher does too much damage for the description.
