The silk screamer pet in combo with the guest, especially in combination with celerity gets to extremely great results in both choke mode and entangle mode. The entangle is like panic/sleep etc in that it stays until a save is made, so it grows and grows and can get upwards of over 1000 entangle....(I'm not sure if decreases in stats caps like increases) but this makes for a lot of extra blocking. The choke can start stacking for multiple turns and can get below 0.10 eventually sometimes.

If you wish to tank, this is a great combo.

I only wish empower affected pets/guests, but like usual they're left out. You wonder why beast builds are prob least used? No love.

According to Twitter, the release is now live. I’ll give some more commentary later but I’m looking forward to this!

Also, will we have an epilogue episode as a wrap up?

Well, that was a boss battle. Congratulations. The last one almost got me because I've been ignoring the self-buff thing and then missed on the nuke turn, lol. Just makes me wonder what Maxwell referred to at the end...
Reward is an FO Darkness armor (nothing we lack of ) with two skills. One pays SP for a toggle to increase blocking and apply berserk if I understood it right, and the other seems similar to Kindred in storing energy over turns for a massive attack. Locks to Darkness though.

Now for the commentary

spoiler:

What a finale! It was everything I expected, but more. The quest was very long, and I appreciated the ability to save and have checkpoints. Otherwise it would have been maddening to complete.

But I have to wonder, are those various scenes from the past, the present or the future? There seems to be a little retcon with Drakath talking to King Tralin where Drakath is alive, but this is canonically after the Sinister 7 War (Which BTW, is also a plot hole). But we still don't know who the "Mysterious Stranger" is, and it seems like he is but the first of many like himself who aim for nothing more than the Shadowscythe to take over Lore. I'm guessing that somewhere, somehow Valoth will make his appearance in AQ. And we might see something of the multiverse concept be expanded upon. Certainly the more tech-like equipment of this saga hints that there are at least some parallels to the ShS of Mechquest, and the ShS of AQ.

It looks like Maxwell is still up to something. Hopefully the Epilogue will take care of that.

For the armor, the description seems to be a little cut off. Charging up to 10 for Shadowfall? Hopefully the info-subs will clarify how that works. Otherwise the armor is quite interesting. You have 2 skills, Dusk stance which increases your blocking, while your opponent loses BTH and deals increased damage. Great for dodge support. The other skill seems to be a charging skill. You pay close to 100% melee, to 1 strong attack of darkness, or save it for later to do even more damage.

The passive skills, seems to be that every time you dodge, your enemy gets Elevuln to Light/Dark, and every time you attack, you also inflict even more Elevuln to Light/Dark. This has pretty nice synergy considering the armor is a primary dark, and you can use Light weapons as part of the Elevuln. With enough stacks you'll do really noticeable damage. Keep in mind, the active and passive skills do NOT work with 100-proc weapons.

And Pun-isher

The scenes are all taking place in the present, as you fight the boss. These are therefore not retcons, but follow-ups on established plot points from the Derenian civil war and Hall of Memories content.

I survived the final virophage's nuke with 7 HP left lol. On the other hand that meant my backlash killed it from like 3000 HP.

5 in challenge mode. Not sure if different in normal mode.

I think armor might be bugged.

• chaos orb on 20
• elemental resistance to darkness will be bare minimum 100%
• armor will give enemy elemental weakness almost ×4 extra damage taken

NormaI attacks don't even break 200 in damage. Also -BtH to enemy popped up under enemy status effects once and never again.

Working normally for me.

I just got power world die against the 4th one (the final one with the gain power from element protection one). It didn't die from it. Not reflected or immune, just didn't die. Did about 6000 HP so still helped

I will be honest, I beat challenge twice and cheesed it once with backlash and once with paladin sunscale plus the above power world die lol.

Seems bugged to me. Most hits 200,even with the ele vuln upwards of 180, plus a second line on model 294 at 131, and zfinity at 125, and olympax medal giving me empower at 1.2+...still the damage is the same.

In addition, is it me or is the lean off? FO, but the defense is X1.313? I can see maybe it was changed to pay for another effect, which is cool, but given the fact Necromancer spellcaster lean bugged to high heck I cant say this is a pay for strategy

spoiler:

One thing I definitely noticed is how the Maxwell model at the end was suspiciously looking like either a player model or an enemy model. Since he's facing sideways and was floating in the air like an idle animation. I can only assume we'll either get to play as him (like we played Zhilo in the epilogue), or we'll have to fight against him

Soo... is the regen a thing for normal mode too or just challenge mode?

Cause I'm unable to do any lasting dmg to the Virophages because of it. Mistakes were made since I have no backlash equipment, at all

The mechanics are the same between both normal and challenge mode. Note the following is information from Cray. The only difference is
quote:

+(Lv/3) to all stats, in increments of +5, up to +50 at level 150, -25% Heal/Light/Dark resists.

Which phase are you dealing with? The regen exists for both Phase 2 and Phase 4, but it's much worse in Phase 4. You'll need to finish the battle quickly since the regen gets stronger over time. If you'd like, I could quote the specifics that Cray provided.

This is what Cray has to say. I'll just post his information on all four phases.

Phase 1:
spoiler:

Has a permanent Backlash that reflects 15% of damage taken as Light damage and 15% of damage taken as Darkness damage.

Skill deals -25% damage, applies 1 turn of Light Imbue or Darkness Imbue to the player at random. If there are any negative statii on the mob, this attack deals a further -25% damage, cleanses all negative status effects on the mob, and then Dazes the mob for 3 turns, with a base stun rate of 10%, and a further 10% stun rate per negative status that was on the boss when the skill fired.

Phase 2:
spoiler:

Has Regen worth 50% of a mob attack per turn. If it's ever brought below 2/3 or 1/3 of its max HP, any time it's above those values it'll deduct HP to be below that value, AKA it can't regen past each third of its HP once knocked below it.

When using its skill, it loses Freedom for the turn, and charges up for a turn. During this charge turn, if it gets hit 4+ times, or gets hit with a stun status (so Paralyse/Freeze/Daze, anything that CAN make the mob skip its turn), the charge gets disrupted. If successfully charged, the mob does a Void attack worth 300% normal mob damage. If the charge is disrupted, then the mob will skip its turn (basically it uses a fiddly stunbreak), gain +20% Heal resist (AKA Heal element is less effective), and it gains +20% EleVuln to all elements for 3 turns. After either of these takes place, the mob regains the Freedom status.

Phase 3:
spoiler:

Loses Freedom and Boss Boost, instead has an Unstoppable effect where it burns some SP to break out of any stuns. Also has 50% stronger SP generation, so it can cast its skill more often and you basically have to spam stuns to truly drain its SP.

Skill deals normal damage, but this damage is split between three hits, the first doing HP damage, the second x1.5 MP damage, and the third x1.125 SP damage.

Phase 4:
spoiler:

When attacked, adds the element of that attack to a list. Each time it gets hit with an attack that's already on the list, it adds 1 charge. The list resets when the mob fires its skill.

Skill seeks Light/Dark/Harm, and deals +10% damage per charge currently on the mob. Skill also applies a permanent Regen to the mob worth 5% of a mob's attack per charge. So if the mob has 3 charges, the skill does +30% damage and applies a perm Regen to the mob worth 15% mob damage per turn. Once the skill is done the charges are wiped.

Regardless of which phase you're fighting that has Regen, having ways to deal a lot of damage within the confines of soft damage caps is helpful. Remember that you can switch out equipment every phase.

Thanks for the specs. Looking through each phase, literally the only problem is the regen.

I have the means to power through everything it can throw at me, but I lack the ability of dealing enough dmg to overpower the mob with it's 270 DEX and 75% modifier
