Hi! TLDR: How many play styles you guys come up with your current build ?

My main weaknesses
1. Lacks survivability
2. Resource limitation (mainly HP and SP)

Werepyre Subrace | Spellslinger Necromancer Class | Traditional BeastHybrid | 200 STR 150 DEX 200 INT 0 END 200 CHA 0 LUK
Misc : Clever Disguise | Elahi Irt of Osiris | Bag of Mixed Nuts | Soul Gauntlet | Time Gauntlet | Mind Gauntlet | Space Gauntlet | Power Gauntlet

The listed items are in my active inventory.
Mobs <4K HP - correct resistance of werepyre beast form and shield, osiris misc, Essence of Carnage (toggle to backlash or MP regen), Angra Linnorm
Mobs >4K but <10K HP - as above, Purple Rain then sit in necromancer and Spotter Drake, casts Time, Power, nut's Macadamageya-nuts. Sometimes uses Father Time.
Mobs above 10K HP or low resistances - stun and bleed with werepyre bleed skill, osiris misc, Terminus Twinmaul, Umazen Aspis, Scarab and sometimes with nut's Bolts
Mobs that come in pairs or more - fragile from Shinyaro Form, auto hit from The Burden of Insight, Spring Dryad Defender, osiris misc, Spotter Drake
SP attack of mobs when sufficient SP to tank - casts Space and nut's Dough-nuts, Chiaro Symbiote
SP attack of mobs when not sufficient SP for above - dodge with Ghost Costume, summon Bun-Banneret and pet, Mother's Growth Shield, nut's Wall-nuts then Clever Disguise
Element vulnerability - casts PR then sit in necromancer and Spotter Drake then casts Power, then Woolzard Zardimax, werepyre bats and Clever Disguise
SP heal on self when Soul's incremental HP is too high - not the best choice but Arms of Carnax
HP sustain on self when low - casts Gandolphin and sit in werepyre beast form (or not), Bronze Bulwark and Fenris Pup
Barrier (mainly bosses) - casts PR then sit in necromancer and casts Eclipsed and Haunted Dragonlord's Will
Beastmaster mode - correct resistance of werepyre armor and shield, Clever Disguise every round. Pet fully reliant on necromancer's Deathless Knight, guests are Paladin's Manifestation (MP), Mogdin, FruitcakeZard, Sugar Gobbler, Dread Fiend of Nulgath as well as necromancer's Ancestral Wraith, Anima Manifestation, Ghost Ally.
Attacking mobs SP bar - Underwyrmling and Clever Disguise

I find it fun to spread my play styles to keep the battles interesting and I am not overly P2W =)

If you have QuadForce, you can probably swap out Mind Gauntlet since EoC can heal your mp. Or better yet, Necro's bleed eater skill for MP restoration.

With QuadForce you could swap CHA stat for training LUK/END instead.

You can circumvent damage issue with low resistance mob by stacking ele-vul/PCO or using harm weapon. The only exception is Diamond Dog which has a hard damage cap to any damaging statuses unless you cheese with Fragile setup.

Usually Dual HauntedLord Shield + Gandolphin is enough to tank SP attacks and mitigate status effect.

If you have InvincibleStar, it is actually more favorable compared to Gandolphin but it is up to you to decide whatever damage mitigation effect you would like to use. With damage mitigation setup, you can use Werepyre passive skill or Necro's skill to dispel any negative statuses. You can also free up your slot from dodge items for more utility/offensive items.

Check if you have Infinita Staff, if yes, try the build STR/DEX/INT/LUK 200/200/200/150

Use QuadForce for the CHA 250, armour with ele locked weapon based skill

The SP regen would be enough for upkeeping the QuadForce

My alt is in this Hybrid beastmaster (temp lol) style with

Headless Horseman/T-Rex

Human Fisher/Mason Form

Dragonlord armour, spell based skill tho (Gryphon Rider is of course better in this case for combo with Infinita Staff)

Graverider Mount

Terra Bloodzerker

Voltatic Bloodzerker/H-Series (Relied so much on H-Series now for the Initiative Bonus +105)

Fiend of Light/Paladin (Fiend of Light is for efficient SP skill + SP regen with Infinita Staff, the dmg is a bit weak because of the penalty, I use Paladin when I want to cast spell instead of wasting SP)

Angel of Souls/Shadowfall Raiment (Use AoS if you wish to save SP, with Infinita Staff you can use Shadowfall Raiment)

If you don't have Infinita Staff, go grab the Nith's Fang, I dont know if it is bugged or what but recently it heals like the old dragonlord weapon was, 50-53 SP per hit, yes based on hit no. but not the dmg.

Hi! Thanks for the suggestions.

I will check out Nith's Fang and try my luck on PCO, Terra bloodzerker and Infinitia staff.

Good point on the Mind Gauntlet. It has been a while I run low on MP and I guess necro's once per battle MP heal is enough. I am thinking of replacing it with Cracked Ornament or Mogloween Candy Bag.

You know, I might actually switch out Dex and put in Luk for H Series, using it with hybrid weapons. Ngl, I don't usually play beastmaster mode unless I am running low on SP for beast form. My summon and call spells are pretty much placeholders lol.

Oh, I just returned this year. Too bad I missed out on Quadforce, Invincible Star and Metoriod Jelly. I hope I get lucky for at least 2 UR on Black Friday since I can't really spend much.

I have a different take.

First off, hybrid armors really dont use dexterity for accuracy. They use strength, int, and luk. Dexterity is only used for blocking. Since werepyre has built-in panic, the armor is probably designed to take on less damage rather than try and avoid it through blocking. Also, unless you're maxing dexterity, and using a few other items to increase blocking, it isn't reliable enough to go that route. It DOES help your pet/guest accuracy, but there are ways around that, as well as it's overrated.

By spreading your stats out so much, while you can play that way just fine, it is actually limiting to a degree. Maybe increase both weapon and pet/guest damage by going 250 str/int/charisma.

Panic status will stay if you equip something like taladosian pendent, or even necromancer armors has the 7.5 hostile status inflict.

Nightbane staff summons nightbane guest, which toggles to a mode that heals you based on his damage. It's actually quite good especially in certain conditions. Things that increase guest damage will increase it's healing. I like to use protean pets (earth) to increase all earth damage, and this will increase Nightbane's damage, and thus, it's healing.

I know you're trying to run a hybrid, so I just will use this as an example. But in Sol Neko armor, if you have maybe a celerity turn's worth of earth ele vuln, clicking cataclysm (double pet/guest damage), Nightbane will full heal you, even from near 0. Like I said, the healing is quite good with specific things.

Also, don't be afraid of using werepyre's bleed skill. 1 landed hit i a power of 1, and thats around 300-500 damage per turn until successful save. Next landed hit doubles this.

If you were to have Scarab pet out, which gives a bleed potence 20, you will probably stack bleeds into doing 2k, 3k per round in just bleeds. This is harm damage based so low elemental resistance monsters, this strategy comes in handy.

And there are harm weapons, and now the hunter drone guest has an energy/harm toggle...another source of harm to fight low resistance monsters.

Also if you want to lower damage to yourself in other ways, find things that inflict choke, or even things that skip the monsters turns like fear/control/daze/paralyze etc etc. You can get dual hydras (there is a water and darkness version) and if you have both the guest and pet out, the daze stacking gets crazy.

I'd *guess* your current approach is just try and output as much damage as possible. Thats fine versus normal monsters, but you need other strategies against some monsters and bosses
