PS: A request. I would like to see the top cut expanded (25 -> 30/35). Last year was the first time we expanded the top cuts (from 15 -> 25) and it was a resounding success. I think we could honestly benefit from another top cut expansion and motivate even more people to participate.

 1 last appeal to expand the top cup from 25 -> 30/35, assuming the release is tomorrow. If it cannot be done this year, I would like to at least see it done next year (or even this winter token contest)

Also: I want to begin tracking the prize pool for this year's summer contest. Yes, I can't do an exact value/estimator like with gold contests (because summer contests have hidden values) but I figured that people will still find it useful to keep track of the overall pool.

I'll be on it... most of the time but occasionally I may just barely remember to capture a screenshot every day. If you'd like to help (to those reading this post), you can help by doing the following:

1. Go to the Save page on Wayback Machine
2. In the URL box, you'll want to enter in: https://www.battleon.com/TopElfTokens
3. Click Save Page

Or alternatively, just visit: https://web.archive.org/save/https://www.battleon.com/TopElfTokens and it should do all the above steps automatically

That'll save a screenshot so that people can keep track of the daily progress of all the characters involved. Then I'll harvest all the screenshots and create some data visualizations out of it once I get my things together.

Regarding this: There won't be any fancy analytics or regression analysis behind it (especially no placement predictions) since there's no past data to train it against nor exact numbers to go off of. For now there'll just be a trendline of this year's contest only. Maybe in the future (or if the staff wants to release the data from past year's if they even have it) I might consider doing the same for Summer contests like I do the Winter Contests.

 Looks like the release is live!

Also, a BIG THANK YOU to the staff for increasing the top cut to the top 50 and for adding back the guaranteed tiers! There's going to be something for everyone and I can't be happier with the result. There's incentives for everyone for all levels of effort so I have no doubt that this contest will be filled with activity!

Overall very good changes, I'm just puzzled over the community set weapons having different goal amounts, seeing as they're most likely all going to do the same effects.

Correct! I have added a section for the custom weapon skin prizes in the Design Notes that should cover most of the questions I've been getting.

I have some questions about the custom weapon skin prize based on your Design Notes post:

1. You said "No drop gear, ie. Blade of Awe, is ok to choose." Does that mean we can have a reskinned copy of Blade of Awe in our inventory as a normal weapon, or that we can permanently replace our no-drop Blade of Awe with a reskinned art? If so, could we replace our no-drop slot with any permissible reskinned weapon?
Yes, this would replace the Blade of Awe in your no-drop weapon slot. You can choose any no-drop weapons, BoA was only an example.

2. You said, "The winner does not need to currently own the weapon." For clarification, does this mean winners can select perma-rare weapons to reskin? If so, could we just ask for the perma-rare itself?
Depends on the weapon but generally, yes. Something like a package weapon that is no longer available, you can choose it and we'll give it a new skin.

3. Can winners ask a copy of their custom weapon for every character on their account(s)?
It depends on the weapon. If it is a no-drop weapon, that would be limited to one character as there is so much that has to be done manually. I do not see an issue with most other weapons and adding X number of copies in the winner's vault.

4. Can winners donate their custom weapons to the general public? I.e., if I reskin pyromancer bloodblade, can I ask for the reskinned weapon to be put in a shop for anyone to buy?
I'll have to think about it. Scaling is typically reserved for prizes and it is very difficult to price.

5. Will winners be able to name their custom weapon and/or write its weapon description, subject to staff approval and compliance with the Terms of Service?
Sure, you can name your weapon. Maybe the descriptions too. That area is limited and some weapons have critical info in their descriptions.

I also have a question about the community prizes: could we have a community goal to unlock a color custom version of the Mermazon Champion armor? E.g., 20 million?
I do have some stretch goals in mind, but yes, if 20 million is gifted this season, we will craft the finest of color-customization for the Mermazon Champion Armor.

Thank you for your consideration. I think this is a great idea because it keeps the interest and competition for the top tier whales, while letting a lot more players get the items.

 Can we also get confirmation whether the Community Set (Mermazon Champ) will be around permanently? I'm already beyond happy with the contest structure (maybe one day, we'll do something about receipt equity, but not today) but allowing the community set to stay around forever would be nothing short of amazing!

 Yes, any Mermazon gear that is unlocked will become permanent additions! Right now you can access the Mermazon shop from the event page, and that shop will be moved to Ballyhoo permanently once the contest ends. And yes, shops for the Wingweaver gear will also be available.

Wow what a HUGE start to this season's contest!! Stop by the Mermazon shop and pick up your Champion faces, Starfish Stalwart Shield, and Sea Turtle Defender Pet (a little early).

How will we know if we receive the Iceborne Visage? Will we get a notification or will it just be placed into our inventory or shared storage?

 ^^ It'll be placed in your inventory if you were selected in the lottery pool. As long as you donated that day in any amount you'll be eligible to receive a prize.

Also thanks Hollow for the confirmation!

Regarding the items so far:

Shield: Very expensive skill, but the heal is extremely powerful, could probably get more out of it if you use any SP regenerating items. It's stackable too but the cost is sufficiently high enough that I don't think people will get ridiculous amount of stacks, but it's probably worth mentioning

Pet: Boosts either your resistances or MRM based on the hits you connect.

I'll probably say more once info subs are out but so far these items are solid!

What are the requirements to recieve token donations? Specifically can a level 1 adventurer get tokens day 1 of char creation?

My char luckily got the Iceborne Visage. It does an 'ice burn'.

@above: My lvl150 reached gold caps without getting a single donation

Shield is awesome which means it's likely to get nerfed. I'm expecting a once per battle update. I'll admit my error if it never happens, however given history I know when to expect the inevitable.

Pet is fair. A nice defensive water option.

Decent items so far but my confidence in shield being left alone is low.

edit: k I'll refrain from the doubt regarding gear changes. for the moment.

If only minds can change as quickly as item effects do. I'm allowed to doubt as much as I please. If I'm wrong I'd just get ridiculed. How tragic.

Look it's a good item, keep it that way. My concern isn't faulty.

 It's completely okay to doubt the reasoning behind changes, but to assume bad faith and continue casting doubt on whether or not correcting an error is indeed just that rather than arbitrarily not wanting items to be good is not constructive at all.

Regarding the Golden Ticket, If the person picks a compression weapon, would they be allowed to pick both elements?

If so, lets say for example the "Solar Flair Staff" is picked. And the elements we're changed to Wind Primary Water Secondary.
Would the guest then be Wind?
I think it would be fine if the winner selected both of the elements in that case, and the element of the guest would reflect that change.

I'm planning on donating more and more as the days go by, and I want to brainstorm ideas. Thank you for answering all the questions thus far!

The Meramazon stuff are lv tiered and cost gold. I thought donation items are now scaling and free of gold from the shop?
The Mermzaon Champion gear are permanent additions to the game for everyone to enjoy, and that requires that they are tiered and priced.

My two adventurer chars just received 5000 Z-Tokens each. Thanks to the generous donors and RNGesus. Welp, those characters are just farmers for my main, who is dirt poor.
