Mystical Warrior
Helpful!

Hiya guys, its been years since last played the game for real, only ever logging on during Frostval just to get those Giftboxes, so I want to see if I should be updating my equipment, I tried shifting things around to the best that of my knowledge using stuff in the Info Subs.

Character Link : The one under my avy should link to it
Level & Status : Level 150, Guardian
Build : Mystical Warrior
Armor of Awe/UltraGuardian Element (If Applicable): Light
Level(s) of Items with Multiple Versions : Everything should be the max possible level
Alignment (Good/Evil or Chaos/Unity) : Good Unity
Notes : the 20th Anniversary Sword has the wind element. That would be the one I don't plan on replacing along with the Eternal Champion Armor and Shield for Char Page purposes. So any other advice would be greatly appreciated
Goals : Just to get updated and see if my current equipments are up to par to at least finish content
Z-Tokens (If Applicable):30k on hand, House is valued at 50k

Welcome back!

Stats: I presume 50 Int is a leftover from when you were running a Str/Dex build with Moonwalker's Grace? If so, you should probably move them to a more useful stat now.

Subrace: Dracopyre is the sole Darkovian subrace that has not yet been updated. As a warrior, I would recommend you go Werewolf for Str drive and a powerful 4-hit 2x damage Beast Form.

Weapons

I would recommend water as your no-drop, as that element lacks any worthwhile shields for your build.

Pyromancer's Bloodblade pays hp to deal +20% more damage, making it one of the best weapons for a dps build. Unfortunately, you have to wait for Caecus to return to the Void to get your hands on it, and that might take several months, so until then I suggest using this slot for a utility weapon like Mighty Caissa (harm damage) or Haunted Dragonlord's Might (sp regen per hit; great synergy with Beast Form).

MADM Arsenal pays blocking to give you +20% damage.

MagnaBlade is one of the few remaining old standard offensive weapons, giving you +25% extra damage at the expense of taking extra damage from monster attacks.

Thundersplitter toggles between paying hp to inflict Burn and autohit mode. When Blarney comes around, switch it for Tarnished Garden Edge (earth), which does the same thing but uses more modern standards.

Retro Golden Axe is a magical weapon - so don't use it for normal attacks! - but each time you use Paladin's Inner Light skill, this weapon will regain a ton of sp. For more standard attacks, Paladin armor compresses its own light sword.

Uragiri is a good and cheap darkness weapon for FO builds, sacrificing your blocking and resistance for extra damage and accuracy.

Armors

Hexbound Solar Core is the most powerful fire armor, but it does cost a UR. If you want a cheaper alternative, Torontosaurus Rex comes with an 8-hit skill that's great for bypassing damage caps.

Even after all these years, Moglord Tortress retains the most powerful water skill.

Mark of Wrath has a toggle that locks your attacks to wind (with elecomp bonus to damage) and inflicts The Cold, a weapon-based nuke, and a spell-type nuke.

Santa Avenger has the sole weapon-based skill with elecomp to damage, so it remains unmatched when it comes to ice damage.

H-Series Tempest Power Armor is hands down the best warrior armor. It has Initiative boost, deals +50% damage during first round if you win initiative, and its toggle both locks you to energy (with appropriate elecomp bonus to damage) and gives you celerity.

Paladin class has been revamped! It now has 20+ skills, including several nukes (though you'll mostly use Inner Light), healing, ressurection, a light booster guest, and when facing Undead it treats their attacks as though they deal light damage (use lvl 1 skill Paladin shield for full effect). Basically, it's everything you might want when facing either undead or a light monster. Avenger is the warrior variant.

Angel of Souls comes with a dark skill that pays hp instead of sp, making it easily spammable.

Shields

Samukematsuri Shield is still good.

Accordion Shield will be a must once you get your hands on Love Potion, but until then Haunted Dragonlord's Will and its stackable qc Barrier have great synergy with Purple Rain.

Carpe Somnia compresses ice/energy.

Against undead you'll want to use Paladin's shield form lvl 1 skill. Against ligt monsters, Mana Crystal Defender gives you a small Barrier each time you use a spell-type skill like Inner Light.

When Harvest Fest comes around again, you'll want to grab Dyana's Omen for its Str drive. Until then, Eclipsed Dragonlord's Will (alternating with Haunted) will allow you to stack the Barrier at a cheaper cost.

TropoShield. It has bad resistances, but its toggle pays sp and MRM to inflict a strong EleVuln on the monster when you attack with earth/fire/energy. It's 50% chance to deal ~43% more damage, and it's absolutely insane for farming and single turn kills. It does cost tokens, though.

Spells

Keep Dunamis and Invincible Star.

Though Purple Rain has been nerfed, it's still a great spell for setting up nukes and contingencies if you intend for the battle to last more than one turn.

New Year's Surprise (tokens) is a qc bth boost.

Imbues (tokens) are a great weapon if the monster has stun immunity. Use Santa Avenger's nuke with Fire Dragon Talon, and you'll be dealing elecomped fire damage with 50% damage boost!

Unlike the buffs entioned above, Arms of the Dragonguard does cost a turn - but it makes your next attack a guaranteed Lucky Strike, so that's great synergy with Purple Rain.

If you decide to go for 250 End, Your Soul Burns Bright as a Beacon is a very nice spell. It doesn't deal anywhere as much damage as Paladin's Overwhelming Light, but it costs a tiny amount of hp and no sp, making it incredibly efficient.

Pridelord guest (returns in February with next batch of crossover GGBs) gives you status potency.

Pets

Dunamis is great; if you find yourself with spare URs, I would also recommend grabbing Lust and Envy. They're fire and earth boosters that increase your chances of Lucky Strikes instead of boosting raw damage.

Spotter Drake gives you status potency.

Underwyrmling toggles to harm monster sp. Very useful against certain bosses.

Miscs

Essence Orb, first and foremost. It's the most broken item in the game, allowing for qc conversion of hp into sp. This is how you spam your skills literally every turn.

Prime Chaos Orb, second most broken item in the game. It costs a UR and is your first priority if you have or get one. PCO has a qc skill that can shift a monster's resistances. Simply click it until monster is weak to its own element, then use your powerful armor nukes.

Love Potion (returns on Snugglefest) gives you a qc stun. With this, Essence Orb, and Purple Rain, you can keep any monster without Freedom stun-locked for the entire battle.

Shadowfeeder Pendant gives qc celerity. Again, stacks with itself, so has incredible synergy with Purple Rain - and it works against Freedom monsters too!

Optico (tokens) gives omni status potency.

Hollow Dragon Amulet gives Str, Cha, bth, and wind resistance. Probably the best misc for a warrior to min-max their damage and accuracy. Alternatively, you can use Goggernaut Helm (very cheap accuracy misc; can use lvl5 for almost the same effect) and Nemesis Crest (gives a little Str and toggles to pay hp for a strong ice Poison).

Olympax Medal gives you a non-token imbue - and one you can customize to the element of your choice, at that!

That's more or less it.

Hope the info's useful and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

Thanks for the reply, some suggestions interest me like Uragiri, but looking at the info subs. it doesn't state the location where I can obtain it, it has that B typing which from what I remember it used to be like a Ballyhoo tag, but I tried looking at Ballyhoo and can't seem to find it, I tried watching the adds until I reach the ad cap but didn't get a shop with it

Essence Orb will be a good addition to my arsenal, a quickcast SP recovery will indeed be great to have

I'm actually surprised Moglord Tortress actually still a choice, but from what I deduce from your suggestions, it seems that the meta nowadays is spamming armor skill unlike before where it was just situational stuff you can use.

I'm actually aware of the Paladin revamp, I do still occasionally login before, but what I'm most surprised by it is the ability to treat "Undead" attacks as Light dmg, I think it wasn't still a thing last I remember when Paladin was currently being revamped progressively

H-series Tempest Armor, I'm actually interested in getting it, but clueless on where I can try getting it
