GUARDIAN-ONLY EFFECT
  • If a monster attacks you with a Fire Element attack, the shield adapts to Fire and gives you -5% Fire Modifier and +5% Ice Modifier. If a monster attacks you with an Ice Element attack, the shield adapts to Ice and gives you -5% Ice Modifier and +5% Fire Modifier. The maximum adjustment is -10%/+10%, but can further adjust if you are hit by an opposite element. This is in addition to the normal modifiers from the shield, and lasts between battles.
  • When triggered, if a monster's attack damages you, the shield inflicts damage to the monster. The damage is equal to the damage you received multiplied by the adjustment from the first effect. The damage is inflicted as with the opposite element that the shield has a bonus to (Ice if granting bonus Fire Modifier; Fire if granting bonus Ice Modifier) and is affected by the monster's normal Element Modifiers.
      Example
      If you are hit with 20 Fire damage, the shield gets -5% Fire and +5% Ice. The shield then inflicts 20 * 5% = 1 Ice damage to the monster (which is then modified by the monster's Ice Modifier).

      If you are hit with a second attack that deals 20 Fire damage, the shield adjusts again to -10% Fire and +10% Ice (added to the normal Modifiers). The shield then inflicts 20 * 10% = 2 Ice damage to the monster (which is then modified by the monster's Ice Modifier).

      If you are then hit by an attack that deal 20 damage of element, the shield inflicts 20 * 10% = 2 Ice damage to the monster (which is then modified by the monster's Ice Modifier)
    DESCRIPTION
    Dag nabbit!! Blowout! This hubcap seem normal, but it actually protects quite well against melee, ranged, wind and earth attacks.
