Constructive Criticism (But I don't use alot of big words, just what is needed.):

Dull lighting imo. Though I really like the font. The eagle needs to be blended more, and it also could use more effects.
Tbh, I believe that sums it up.

The render is very blurry compared to the rest of the background. Flow seems absent in this one, and the
render doesn't fit with the effects, even though the effects are quite nice. The c4ds are scattered also.

^art is in that along with the QUOTE at the end I will re-write CC because it is out of date now^

CC(contructive Critism)

TAG 1
Really nice tag, the green on the right is perfect so It doesn't wreck everything, It may have looked nice as a pop-out tag though. You know with the render not completely in the sig but rather on a transparent background. Was that green thing made completely by hand? If so Bravo ! If not, well not so good.

TAG 2
This tag has real flow, the c4d flows in a real direction, not just anywhere. Not my choice of render though, but nothing else would work for this tag. This grafh should work on his text though, it doesn't blend well, either make it stick out in the corner or set it to overlay on top of the c4d. Overall good tag.

Dun dun dun...

2.

Picture 1

The dragon itself looks scary and good. It has good detail and is drawn and shaded well. I just don't like the dentist or the writing... they should look as good as the dragon. The writing is also hard to read.

Picture 2

On the second one, the ship looks nice and isometric. But the colors look much like default paint colors and could have less saturation. The sprites also don't fit in it well.

I do not have an art example i can post here as i am hoping to join the gallery to support Honor RPG a game i think looks really promising--i may post art later though

Image 1:

Very good but i think the authors signature(underneath the title)could be a bit bigger to cover some of the excess space.Bottom left hand corner. The detail is very intricate

Image 2:

Very inspiring :P. It is a good picture but once again i have to say that the authors signature is also very small-the title joining it this time. Overall i think it is a very empty picture with excess space.

Well overall it's a good tag text could use some work, and the render looks pasted in lastly it could blended better to fit the BG

Image2
This tag is pretty ok, everything seem to be right with (blending etc) however the lighting could be more, and it's missing that wow factor. Then again it does look as if it should calm one down.

Alt Image 1:
Nice job on the dragon! I really like the color scheme; it fits well with your young dragon theme (not a newborn, but not quite fully grown either). However, it looks like it is in a painful position though as if the dragon is using his right wing to keep himself from losing his balance after tripping over his tail (was this intentional?). The left leg seems to be non-existant. Maybe you should practice drawing stick figure poses first before putting so much effort into it. This way, it'll become more proportional and believable. You might also want to work on shadows and give your dragon some depth.

Alt Image 2:
The first thing I thought when I saw this image was that it was an ancient diclonius from the Elfen Lied world, though I suppose that those are cat ears protruding from the girl's head and not horns that look like cat ears. :D

Overall, I really like the amount of detail you put into this, so much that you even included the collar bone. For this type of art, you've done appropriate shading and have even kept a light source in mind. I'm very impressed. However, the ears look to be at a different angle than the head (aka the right ear is too far forward and the left ear is set too far back). Nevertheless, this issue is so small that I wouldn't worry about it. Next time you do a head, though, you may want to include the ears in your mapping of the head instead of adding it in later seemingly as an afterthought. Do you have any plans for completing this piece?

(I'm gonna act like Bree here!)

Criticism1:
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/nevermore_na/mystery.jpg
The first thing I noticed here was the text (maybe it was because I was coincidentially looking at where the text was). I like the rose next to the text, along with the lines. It gives the sig/tag a nice touch. The blending around the render is seems pretty good. The sparkly (?) stuff makes the background complete. I'm not sure what "Mystery" has to do with tag, and if it's "Mystery," then the word "Mystery" should probably blend a little with the background... or something.

Criticism2:
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/nevermore_na/sentimento.png
I really like the background in this tag, it's good. There's not much blending that I can see, though. There might be some, but I'm not good at knowing about blending (That made no sense at all). The lighting is a little weak. If you you added a bit more around the left side it would be near perfect. Other than that it's good.

My Bree imitation was a failure... I guess only Bree himself can do it. [:D]

Note i will also be doing work in flash cs3 but its still shiping over here so i only have paint for a day or two.

image 1

cons: The tow on the gecko sown by the text is hard to tell if its the backround or the tow. By its back when it turns darker i cant tell if it the back spine or if its under a tree.
Pros: Great wrinkle effect by the neck but the top wrinkle is sort of not shade properly. looking in the eye gets me a dizzy effect. The text stills stands out even in a very bright spots.Great shading details down by the neck and chin.

image 2

cons: Not as much texture you would expect on a dragon. The image looks like it was just pasted on to the back round. Its chopey around the edges of the wings. There are not black line all a round the dragon( it just that i like my drawings with out lines so it not an inprovment if you did).
Pros: shading great in most place. The right wing looks incredibly real. A ok 3d look (the head pops out some). The eye gives the pichter a focal point

FE Edit

16-Bit Link

2.Crit on first examples.

1-
The text fits the background and the sig all round well, as does the font.
The use of her colour of clothing for the background gradient was clever, I din't notice it for a while.
The render doesn't fit very well, you could try blending it in with brushes or a blur.
The background also is dark and makes the render stick out a lot.

2-
I like the use of colours, brushes and effects, for example where it kind of 'glows' around the render, that looked good to me.
The border suit the sig.
I dislike how small the text is and glowing ball on it makes it hard to read, removing the glow and moving it up a size could help.
Theres a spot that's white in the top left, it distracts me, replacing it with a darker colour would improve it.

Pic #1 (Non- Sig) http://i30.tinypic.com/fy2x4h.jpg :
The dragon like creature is supreme! The only thing you could work on is improving the guy. He needs more shading and more work. The eyes popping out of the head is just... how can I put this... wierd. Why don't you just make the dentist (Dentist?) more like the dragon. The dragon has so much more details and shading in it while the doctor is just looking like he was drawn in some spare time. Otherwise, this pic is pretty good!

Pic #2 (Non- Sig) http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/3272/bigship3jx9.png :
I don't really have anything to say, but it is really good! It just needs a bit more features, because all it has is a bunch of sprites on a ship. It needs a little more pizzaz!(SP?) Probably put some words, steering wheel(Does it have one?), and a few more sprites and if you don't take my advice, just put a little background in there. It would make it look more realistic...

Here is my application

Piece of Art 1: Wolfblade pilot armor

Piece of Art 2: Blue NRG blade

Sig 1: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/nevermore_na/Inspire.png

The sig looks good with the wisps and smoke effect coming off the woman's shirt, however, with her arm, the blue hue looks a little misplaced in an attempt to match the colors of the shirt. I believe a skin tone color wisping into smoke rather than glow might add the softness you seemed to be looking for while at the same time staying true to the overall feeling of the design. Also, I think the open space on the left side of the sig could be utilized with a shadowed or smoking saying in order to reduce the unused area.

Sig 2: http://www.azupload.com/displayImage.php/setid10443.png

This sig is definitely what I would call provocative, and as such the purple flare effect on the right doesn't seem to fit in and is actually a little detracting from what I would guess is your main focus of the woman. Maybe try softening that effect up with a different color or even a softer glow and it would be less detracting.

2 Art Examples:

[Image I] [Image II]

Constructive Criticism:

Image I:

The tag itself is well done, there seems to be some bad color scheme as the colors seem too dull and distract the viewer. There really is no focal point in this image due to problem that there is no specific light source leading me to believe that the image has random lighting all around the render. The render itself is well cut, it could use better blending. Finally the text has an unfitting font either that or the color used for it doesn't call my attention and to fix that I think the creator of the tag inserted the lines surrounding the text maybe to add a bit more focal, which in my opinion wasn't executed too well.

To make the Image better I recommend a usage of darker colors for the background and lighter for the text. I also think the render needs better placing and some filters or maybe manual lighting can be added to make Image more appealing to the eye. Overall the image is quite nice but needs to be fixed.

Image II:

The second image the colors are dull and the background is quite boring, in the other hand the image looks very smooth and the colors were picked well to match the render/stock even if they are dull to me. In the lighting category the lighting is quite random and displaced which messes up the flow of the tag, to help fix that I think better contrast is needed between the stock and the background maybe if the right side was lighter to match the stock better or if the whole image's lighting was better balanced there would be better flow. The effects I find quite amazing I'm loving the way the smoky texture seems to flow around the image, it's quite inspiring. The text is very well placed and doesn't take any focus away from the rest of the tag. The background could use another color maybe purple? or some sort of light violet or maybe light blue?. Overall the Image is very well done and not much needs to be fixed.

Constructive criticism:
Alt pics: FIRST PIC: Good drawing, but I recommend colouring it in and adding a background. The person in the corner is a different style of art so I think that you should change that (make the person 3D). The 3D dragon is very good though. Quite funny aswell. Try making the text a bit clearer.
SECOND PIC: Very nice elf type person. Make the size a bit bigger and try to have the whole body. It would then be a lot better than it is now. (I still like this one!)

Art Examples:

Constructive Criticism:

Alt Image 1
The dragons head is beautiful, made better with the shading. The only thing wrong is the dentist and the text.
That could use more work, as it is much more simple. Perhaps maybe more detail on the face and clothes?
The text could look neater, and would look better than present if the text bubble went fully around it.

Alt Image 2
All the colours work well together, and the drawing itself is great. One thing that I don't really like
is the right leg. The line on the boot stands out from the rest of the line. If that was fixed, the boot would
look better.

Well I hope I can join back up with the DAas remains =P.

My two tags-
#1
#2

Criticism-
Tag #1-
Ah this oldie tag =P,
The C4D on this tag has always bugged me, the purple that sticks out just doesnt seem to go right for me,
a good way to blend it would be a couple of Cliped on Photo-Filters.
Try to hit the burn tool on this one too, the brightness is good but it takes away from the focal.
Other then that the tag looks great, nothing else to say about it, just the depth needs some improvement.

Tag #2-
Blur, and Linear Dodge Mania o.o.
I like it except, for the lack of sharpness, and the "Burning Effect" on the guitar.
The BG is saturated, yet the Render is monotone, it is something you may want to work on, a simple Gradient Map coudl definetly fix that up =P.
Anyway back to the Burning effect, I like it to the extent of the borders, after which it gets bad for my vision, Erase a little bit of the red on the outside of the guitar, it will help your focal, aswell as add depth.
Last thing I have to comment on is the Blur =/, it looks nice around her clothing, but when it hits her hair.. =/, it messes with the focal/render a good amount enough to bring it down from what it could truly be. I think the tag would be much better if you just took that bit out.

Constructive 1;
[image]http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/nevermore_na/Kyoko.png[/image]
Ok, I really like this, the colours go really well together and contrast quite nicely, goldy green goes pretty well with black imo. That said, the text could do with work, maybe make it more visible. The colour of the skin, hair and clothes mix really nicely with the bg. The one problem I have is that it all looks rather "empty" and lost, the unsharpened figure doesn't bring it forward as much as it could have. The flow is alright though. Finally, it might just be me but it's... too dark? So basically, the figure needs to be sharpened so it can stand out and there needs to be a bit more light.

Constructive 2;
[image]http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/nevermore_na/Breath.png[/image]
This one is awesome, the effects, although they aren't that smooth, go nicely with the colourful skin of the figure. The text I like too. The thing which makes me like this the most is how the light catches the top of the face and creates a nice dark section below it, instead of also being bright below. This is much better than the last sig because the light effect is near perfect.

The colours used in this signature are stunning as they all flow together very nicely. What could have been improved(IMO)is the large black smudge beside the woman, it's a bit over the top, but this is a very good sig.

Image 2

It's exciting and daring, something different and the colours go well. I think the Japanese/ Chinese writing wasn't needed though and looks a bit out of place.

Overall I think the tag is a bit too blurry. Other than that the text doesn't fit at all. The text should add to the tag in some way rather than just being there.
The contrast between the green-yellow and the gray is too... How should I put it.. Pronounced? I think it should ease in to the gray. I can kind of see what
you were going for, but the execution of said effect lacks. The lighting behind her head is alright, but i'm not too fond of the render placement.

Image 2

Okay for starters I like the background it's not too chaotic, but it gives a disorganized feeling. Messy, thats the word. I like messy. Anyway the right
side of the bg seems to empty and uninteresting. Again the render is too blurry it hurts the eyes to try to focus on the render. It should be the other
way around the bg blurryish and the fg sharp and attention grabbing. The Chinese/Japanese symbol looks nice for the tag. The effect on the guitar is too
bright for the rest of the tag.

Nice coloring on background, I like how the brightness shifts as it moves to the right. Also the text is a nicely done so it fits the background. The face is a bit odd since there is too much dark colors around it that breaks the background.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/nevermore_na/sentimento.png
I like the choice of color, it fits the render with how it is just sitting there playing guitar, not too dark but not too bright and it matches colors with the coat. Render fits the background too and adds depth though the lighting on the guitar seems off from the lighting on the background.

Nice blends, great choice of colors it fits the character, text doesn't overlap anything and the colour of it is perfect and fits the background, and great positioning of the character. The effects and sparkles you put in are well. The rose really makes the image better because of the outline and the way you pushed it up more. Also the purple is lighter than the character which really makes the character a lot more noticeable and the character blends in the the background perfectly and you can tell you didn't just paste it on.

Pic2

Looks good, I like the smoke effects coming out of the shoulder, it makes the person look ghostly. The picture is very surreal, I like it. The only thing that could be improved a touch is the emptiness of the pic, I think it lacks a little something, some text maybe.

First, i really like how it all matches, especially the background with the odd looking guitar, however i dont like how the pose is. Im not sure why, but i just think it seems to plain. Try making the person bending over in a cool pose or jumping, or any other really cool stance. other then that, i think it looks good :)
