Welcome the Poet Tree

Comments: http://forums2.battleon.com/f/tm.asp?m=14186499

This tree stands alone in an empty grove,
It simply grows,
Pink fruit sits silently on the branches,
It simply grows,
A breeze storms up to sway the tree,
It simply grows,
Until the tree snaps in twain,
It will simply grow,
Until the poets are ready,
And then it will snap,
Giving thought to the waiting grove.

You have passed the world of sanity, but be not afraid, the world of madness is the same, but ever expanding.

A Fruit Falls

A fruit falls from a tree to the cold floor,
In the madness it is bruised,
Trampled and forgotten it provides nourishment no longer,
But a patch of damp on a traveller's shoe.

If I were that fruit,
Who would give a hoot?
If I just lay there,
Who would even care?
Not him.
Not her.
Not I.

A fruit falls from the tree to be snatched by a bird,
It bites through the tough skin,
To the core the fruit is pierced, the bird recoils,
Drops the fruit and it is gone.

If I were that fruit,
Who would give a hoot?
Snatched, killed in mid-air,
Who would even care?
Not him.
Not her.
Not I.

A fruit falls from a tree to hit a boy on head,
He takes a bite, the fruit is sour,
Tainted from the plight of it's brethren,
How can it remain sweet?

If I were that fruit,
Who would give a hoot?
Tainted by despair,
Who would even care?
Not him.
Not her.
Not I.

Not us.

Panda

The panda walks into a bar,
Orders bamboo from afar,
He eats and eats without a care,
And fires a gun into the air.

The panda walks to a cafe,
Orders twig bits from Bombay,
He eats and eats without a care,
And fires a gun into the air.

The panda walks into an inn,
He orders watercress cut thin,
He eats and eats without a care,
And fires a gun into the air.

A man who sees this asks the bear,
What on Earth he's doing there,
The panda states that he believes,
The panda bear 'Eat shoots and leaves'.

And the Sea Rose

I was born on that single stone,
And the sea rose,
I never could have really known,
And the sea rose,
The base around erodes away,
And the sea rose,
Until that final fateful day,
And the sea rose.

I never thought my time would end,
And the sea rose,
I never knew it would depend,
And the sea rose,
On the ever rising blue,
And the sea rose,
My mind stormed in with thoughts of you.
And the sea rose.

Until that time was washed ashore,
And the sea rose,
I could not cling on anymore,
And the sea rose,
The sea rose up into the sky,
And the sea rose,
We aren't mortal until we die.
And the sea did not rise.

Give it a Meaning

I forget,
What you meant to me,
I forget,
What I'm s'posed to be,
I forget,
If it's false or true,
I forget,
And it's just because...
Of you.

Give it a meaning,
Human life requires a meaning,
I'm sitting here bleeding,
Wondering what the hell I have to do.

I don't regret,
Even being here,
I don't regret,
All the wasted years,
I don't regret,
Starting over new,
I don't regret,
And it's just because...
Of you.

Give it a meaning,
Human life requires a meaning,
I'm sitting here bleeding,
Wondering what the hell I have to do.

I can't be set,
In a single state,
I can't be set,
But it's getting late,
I can't be set,
In things that I do,
I can't be set,
And it's all because...
Of you.

Give it a meaning,
Human life requires a meaning,
I'm sitting here bleeding,
Wondering what the hell I have to do.

Well I'll stay,
In this lie,
And won't even care,
If I live or die,
And I'm trapped,
In this room,
And I hope you know,
It's all because...
Of you.

Give it a meaning,
Human life requires a meaning,
I'm sitting here bleeding,
Wondering what the hell I have to do.
Wondering what the hell I have to do.
Wondering what the hell I... have... to... do.

The Scorpion

It chases through the burning heat,
Co-ordinating creeping feet,
But this is not the only thing,
Beware of it's destructive sting.

I'll end my life before it gets me,
I'll end my life before it gets me,
Through all my loss the insect gains,
Its perfect hate flows through my veins.

The sound of clicking growing still,
The insect moves in for the kill,
Stay out of this foul hunter's way,
Or fall a victim as its prey.

I'll end my life before it gets me,
I'll end my life before it gets me,
Through all my loss the insect gains,
Its poison now flows through my veins.

The parents run, the children cry,
The victim left there, just to die,
The scorpion strikes instant fear,
And killed one that we all held dear.

I'll end my life before it gets me,
I'll end my life before it gets me,
Through all my loss the insect gains,
Its poisoned goal destroys my brain.

So Far Away

Was it here starcrossed lovers met?
Or is this irony upset?
So far away,
Across the sea,
I think of her,
She thinks of me.

And all the while I stopped and thought.
Was this a time to be distraught?
Do I truly,
Need her kiss?
My aching brain,
Longing for this.

And if I saw her loving face,
And held her tight in my embrace,
Would all this come,
To be a lie?
Upon her wings,
Would my heart fly?

I do not say this very much,
But often I long for her touch,
And all my dreams,
Surely come true,
When I hear said;
"I love you too."

So far away for this to pass,
And yet my heart will never last,
Our passion burns,
And yet we say,
We'll never meet,
So far away...

My Home

My home is a box,
In the middle of town,
The arrow points up,
But I sleep facing down.
I am happy I found it,
A joy to my eye,
I am safe from the judgement,
The day that I die.

My home is a shack,
To the east of the lake,
I live there with a puppy,
And make no mistakes,
I fish freely for food,
And although it is cold,
I still have a soul left,
For when I grow old.

My home is a big house,
It's made of smooth stone,
In it I put value,
Its interest has grown,
My money is in found there,
That's all the house knows,
My home is my finance,
Until my heart slows.

My home is a mansion,
A giant estate,
I got it from cheating,
And messing with fate,
Of course I am comfy,
Of course I am well,
But my black soul will burn,
In the fires of hell.

'Home is where the heart is... '

Going Away

I went away,
For just one day,
To see if people,
Noticed me,
It seems they don't,
But I don't care,
It's just one day,
No problem there.

I went away,
For just one week,
To see the people,
Losing sleep,
It seems they aren't,
But that is fine,
A week is not,
That long a time.

I went away,
For just one year,
To see if people,
Held me dear,
Nobody knew,
Nobody cared,
I guess I'm nothing,
I'm not there.

I went away,
Forever more,
To settle life's,
Unfinished score,
Nobody knew,
Nobody cried,
'You know that guy?'
'Oh yeah, he died...'

Firecracker

Boom! Crackalackalacka.
Firecracker. Bang!
The flames went high,
The children ran.

Bang! Crackalackalacka.
Firecracker. Boom!
The smoke rose up,
It filled the room.

Boom! Crackalackalacka.
Firecracker. Pop!
The choking coughs,
The bodies drop.

Bang! Crackalackalacka.
Firecracker. Crack!
They'll never get,
Their houses back.

And all because,
For just one day,
The fireworks,
Were on display.

Wisp

Rising from the water,
Like the embers of flames,
Our melancholy drifts away,
And only Wisp remains.

Something in the distance,
Like blue and twisting haze,
The spirit rises from the fog,
And Wisp shows us his ways.

Floating, silent, peaceful,
There's nothing you can do,
Emotion fails and hope is weak,
When Wisp has come for you.

So don't resist or murmur,
There's nothing you can say,
A chill runs down your spine again,
With Wisp you fade away...

The Bard

Leaning onto a tree in a small forest glade,
Is a man who knows just how all music is made,
His hat over his eyes and a grin on his face,
He plays beautiful songs with no note out of place.

He strums masterful tunes on his battered blue lute,
With a melody that would calm even a brute,
As the trees of the forest respond to his ways,
The wind rustles up and the sky gently sways.

He has known much of anguish,
Experienced pain,
And retells all these tales,
With his music again.

Though his face shows no sorrow,
His eyes no remorse,
But the music he plays,
Is the tale of his source.

Power comes from his sinning,
Proves his purity fake,
And he knows his one talent,
As fatal mistake.

As he makes notes grow slower his arms both go numb,
He knows he and his instrument both become one,
As the music grows dark and his eyes turn to coal,
He knows being The Bard was not worth for his soul.

He has lost all his reason and knows only rhyme,
He is loved and respected and hailed in his time,
But while fame and fortune may seem well and good,
These feelings never lasts as long as they should.

Party. Party! Party?

The only way to happiness,
The bottom of your bottle?
The only thing you're telling me,
Is this so antisocial?

Do everything for everyone,
So you can be accepted?
Conform to everybody's weird ideals,
So you won't be rejected?

Get a life, you utter fool,
By that I don't mean party.

And yeah, I might have been to some,
And had an awesome time,
But this was quite an awesome joke,
A joke was in this rhyme.

I love to party all night long,
I dislike being sober,
I have to deal with throwing up,
And maybe a hangover.

Sometimes it's worth it in the end,
Sometimes it really ain't,
But honestly, you can't survive,
By acting like a saint.

Never even START to agree with me. Because I know I don't.

Knife in the body

I started to hate it,
I started to cry,
I started to wish,
That these feelings would die.

I needed to see you,
I needed to know,
I needed to find out,
How far this would go.

A knife in the body,
A knife in the soul,
As I look at this mess,
I have lost all control.

I thought I could save you,
Save you from myself,
Thought I could keep hold,
Of my own mental health.

I knew I would do it,
I knew you would fall,
But now I have finished,
I don't regret at all.

A knife in the body,
A knife in the soul,
As I look at this mess,
I have lost all control.

A knife in the body,
A knife in my brain,
I would rather die screaming,
Than do this again.

I look into the carnage,
Your cold, hateful eyes,
And the rage turns to hatred,
As myself I despise.

I move towards your body,
And pull out that knife,
With the tool of my judgement,
I must end my own life...

(Collab with Cow Face, Cover of 'I Love Rock and Roll' by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts) Original here (My lines are purple)

I Love Baroque and Roll!

I didst see him dancing there by the minstrels' bowl ,
I knew him by his powdered wig and mole,
The lute was going strong , Verily, 'twould not be long,
'Till he was besideth thee, proclaiming...

I'm fond of Baroque and Roll!
So add another coin to the bard's hat, madam!
I have affection for Baroque and Roll!
Not polka, folk or other tunes!

I asked, "Good man, what is thy name?"
That matters not, he said, 'tis all quite similar.

Said I can take thou to thy place of abidance.

And proceeding that we were displaced,
Our persons were together.
And soon we were verily displaced,
Our persons were together, proclaiming...

I express liking for baroque and roll!
Do thou add a ducat to the minstrel's cap, foundling!
I prefer baroque and roll!
So take a bit of time and waltz with me!

I decreed 'May I visit your place of residence'?

And we shall be traveling,
Concerting a similar melody...

I hold dear Baroque and Roll!
So flick a doubloon in the pianist's direction!
I esteem Baroque and Roll!
So verily I jig along with thee!

Description

My mind is numb,
My brain feels weird,
My hands and feet have disappeared.
My throat feels dry,
My mouth feels dead,
And so I die inside my head.

My view is blurred,
My hearing, faint,
My legs both hurt, my thoughts all taint.
My arms don't move,
My nose can't smell,
My body dragging through this hell.

I cannot eat,
I cannot drink,
Nor even bring myself to think.
About the time,
My mind was free,
Before you did these things to me.

I have no mind,
No mental health,
A vague description of myself.
A blackened void,
An empty hole,
A vague description of my soul...

Matter over Mind

Didn't care what the ingrates said,
Just wanted all the others dead,
Nothing matters, or left behind,
There's no matter over mind.

Just look around, and dig your grave,
A futile corpse, a mindless slave,
Being sightless, or being blind,
There is no matter over mind.

I see a time, I see a place,
There was a smile upon my face,
And all does is to remind,
There is no matter over mind.

So as we sit, and as we pray,
We live to burn another day,
And so our love for life declined,
There is no matter over mind.

As all your dreams flow out the door,
You clench you fist, and hit the floor,
And at this point, it's hard to find,
That there's no matter over mind.

What be a pirate?

A pirate be a scurvy dog,
A beard that's full o' beauty,
A toothless smile that make ye sick,
A chest that's stuffed with booty.

A pirate be an angry curr,
With swords that be all gleamin',
But if ye mess with this sea dog,
I bet ye ye'll be screamin'.

A pirate be a scallywag,
All drunk, but nay be fallin',
Ye take away all o' tha rum,
And there'll be a keelhaulin'!

What is a ninja?

A ninja is a silent moth,
A dancing lotus flower,
Just one look at ninja-san,
And you'll see ninja's power.

A ninja dances in the wind,
And reaps with silent force,
If you see ninjas in your path,
You'll soon be dead, of course.

A ninja moves with silent grace,
A ninja says no word,
Old ninja proverb say that,
'Wise stick closely to their herd.'

Insult contest!

Dishonorable pirate scum!
Ye scurvy ninja dog!
I'll cut you into little bits!
I'll gut ye like a hog!

You drunken fool! Ye borin' twit!
You reek of salt and pee!
Ye kiss ye mother with that mouth?
I'll be keelhaulin' ye!

You disciplineless angry swine!
Ye dishcloth garbin' curr!
(This is the kind of thing you get,
Ninjas and pirates stir...)

Return

Your name I have deleted,
Your lies I have dismissed,
I know that I am hating,
But I keep returning to be kissed,
By your lips so full of malice,
To see your smile so full of pain,
I try hard to escape it,
And I just return again.

I know not what I'm doing,
I'm trying not to think,
But I find myself in your arms,
And my heart begins to sink,
Into eternal nightfall,
Shadows move across my soul,
And yet I find it soothing,
To know I'm not in control.

So know, love, that I hate you,
And know you make me bleed,
For all the time I've known you,
For every foul misdeed,
You've caused me as I waited,
For my heart to make a choice,
But I simply got frustrated,
And failed to hear my voice.

Effortless

Writing this thing was effortless,
I would do more, but I digress,
The topic is the fact at hand,
This shall be heard across the land!

Give up your poems, and your mind,
Surrender thought and fall behind,
Your poor excuses got you there,
No effort lost, so no despair.

My Paranoid Nature

Sometimes I swear nature is stalking me,
If you get what I mean...
Sometimes I will look over my shoulder
In a deserted alleyway or path
And I will see a daisy creeping
Through the cracks in the road.
Watching me,
Judging me.

Sometimes I will sit at home,
Glance outside my window,
And see that the dark clouds gather
Above my lonely house
As if to taunt me quietly
With their very presence.
Scaring me,
Hating me.

Sometimes I will spy a shadow,
And I will look twice at it.
It will seem like a man with a weapon
Chasing after his next victim
But when I snap back to reality
I see a sapling looking up.
Fooling me,
Unnerving me.

Sometimes I swear nature is stalking me,
If you get what I mean...
And when the trees attack
And the birds swarm
And the dogs bite
And the lightning strikes.
Hear me,
And run for your life.

Raining Doom

Death's ugly face caught by your eyes,
To signal warnings of demise,
A chilling silence fills the room,
The walls turn black, it's raining doom.

The deadly scythe raised high in hand,
A scream is heard across the land,
He turns to you, your face turns white,
There is no way to win this fight.

The doom engulfs your very soul,
Your life and purpose leave a hole,
The light glints off his shining blade,
And in it, fate's request is made.

So be now wary of this tale,
Learn each and every small detail,
For when the doom rains from the sky,
You must not let your spirit die...

Here are two poems inspired by the new armors recently added to AQW which also relate to earthly beauty.

Lunaris

The darkest celestial patterns which twist,
On a moonray bathed canvas like serpents which hissed,
As I slowly revealed as I scoured the night sky,
That the beauty of Luna was passing me by.

As the sun throws the corpse of the daylight aside,
And the stars and the beauty must no longer hide,
As the night shatters stigma which littered the day,
And the lowly moon animals come out to play.

I watched as the earth turned and light faded black,
Soon I knew that the daylight was not coming back,
And I writhed as Lunaris and I made my choice,
As the flickering darkness chose me as it's voice.

So I now wear this armor as proof of my pain,
And reminders that daylight will not come again,
With the sunshine dismissed now which stood in my way,
In the moonlight I cackle and search for my prey.

Solaris

The radiant sunlight which lights up the morn,
As the rays shatter clouds and the skyline is torn,
And the light of redemption shines down on my path,
As I regain my glorious duties at last.

The moon and it's minions slink into the night,
As the forces are crippled under beaming light,
And the laughter of demons is silenced once more,
As the beams of salvation shine through to thier core.

And I sit as the night is reduced to a joke,
And the spell of the starlight is endlessly broke,
So the job of Solaris is finally done,
And the minions of darkness have nowhere to run.

And I don this new armor as proof of my plight,
And the eternal oath that is sworn to the light,
As the moon phases out and the sun regains supreme,
I will fight for Solaris, the ultimate team.

Blurred in Insanity

There's a face in the moon and it's calling my name,
As the clouds pass it over, obscure it again,
All the plants and the animals staring at me,
As the spirits of demons leak out of the trees.

And I can't get the voices to leave me alone,
So inside of my head is no longer my own,
I once saw the world in its beautiful clarity,
But the peace of my vision is blurred by insanity.

I scratch at my eyes to dig deep in my head,
To grab hold of my thoughts but I'm screaming instead,
And the walls start to melt and the clock strikes thirteen,
As I laugh and I doubt everything I have seen.

And I can't get the voices to leave me alone,
So inside of my head is no longer my own,
I once saw the world in its beautiful clarity,
But the peace of my vision is blurred by insanity.

I rock back and rock forth in my old rocking chair,
And I laugh at the patches I've pulled from my hair,
So I chuckle at demons that stare in my eyes,
When my mind is set free as my sanity dies.

And I can't get the voices to leave me alone,
So inside of my head is no longer my own,
I once saw the world in its beautiful clarity,
But the peace of my vision is blurred by insanity.

Musings of Unrest

Dark wings of my demise have wrapped around the hollow skull of my once smiling face,
They take what little belief I had left into the world's collective zero,
A small token of apprieciation for years of undying service to my Lord,
A dark pit in which to collect my thoughts for all eternity.

I look up from my maggot filled tomb created by the lies and gaze at the moon,
The very light which once gave me endless hope now taunts me for my ignorance,
A bullet in my head for every time I came to think there was something more,
A knife in my back for every blasphemy I came to believe was truthful.

How sweet denial was.

I only hope to inform you, my dearest friends, of the suffering you all conform to,
Without the hope of another life, we all live forever in the fond memories of those left behind,
With the lie that filled my very soul with black soot which burns when I speak, when I move,
There is nothing but disappointment, falsity, corruption and undeath.

My only hope before I lay screaming to myself, my moth-eaten skin itching without hands to scratch it,
That those who truly wish to avoid the same fate as I, grasp tightly onto my words,
The measure of what is accomplished in one's life is not how well one obeys,
But what one does to upset the order that others find comfort agreeing to.

For years I was wrong.
For many more, I will pay the price.
For my friends who long for the embrace of angels I scoff.
There are no angels here.

Another face

I hide my face behind the paint,
I hide the fact I'm not a saint,
I hide my lies behind this mask,
And what I hide is not to ask.

A dash of black, a streak of blue,
And soon I'll break my ties to you,
The hollow mask stares from my face,
And throws emotion out of place.

I hide my face because I must,
For years of anger, pain and lust,
My truth will never be presented,
Until my sins are all repented.

But as the mask controls my fears,
My love, my hate, my smile, my tears,
There is no way to solve this friction,
My own personal lie addiction.

The mask may hide what you all see,
But deep inside I am still me,
And one day I'll come back to you,
When face and mask can both be true.

Oh, Perfect You

Your long hair flows with elegance,
You look so perfect when you dance,
You never miss a single beat,
Your perfect lifestyle is complete.

You're so divine,
That's why I hate you,
So beautiful,
Which is why I'd strangulate you,
So talented,
And I'd love to break your arms,
Oh, perfect you,
The girl I'd love to harm.

You're always at the social ball,
You never ever trip or fall,
You have a strange, infectious smile,
That makes my rage all worth the while.

You're so divine,
That's why I hate you,
So beautiful,
Which is why I'd strangulate you,
So talented,
And I'd love to break your arms,
Oh, perfect you,
The girl I'd love to harm.

I can't forget the way you squirm,
Or how you looked just like a worm,
When all is done, and all is said,
You aren't that fast with broken legs.

You're so divine,
That's why I hate you,
So beautiful,
Which is why I'd strangulate you,
So talented,
And I'd love to break your arms,
Oh, perfect you,
The girl I'd love to harm.

Mindbomb

It all goes blurry for a second, then comes back, different from before.
Reality is overwritten and what used to be my world stares back at me in picture frames.
It isn't what it used to be, and neither am I. I have become bitter, twisted, cynical. But who am I to judge?
The fact of the matter is that when the mindbomb went off, I survived it. Nothing else really matters.
My personae collide. That doesn't really matter either. I can be who I want, can't I?

'For best results, inhale sharply now. Hold your breath until your prayers are answered.'

The answer to all of these questions slide into the back of my mind as I reach for another quick fix.
But fixes aren't answers, I soon come to find, and I withdraw my hand. Sight, sound, taste, smell and feeling are lost.
Can we survive this?
Step back a second and view this point from a distance. You are no different than I.
You are two. Neither is you. But the mindbombs keep dropping.
Soon there won't even be a mind left to salvage.

Men in white coats arrive again, but are they figures of your emotion and fear? You are not sure.
Shifting out of this plane of existence again, you are grabbed. Your imagination is all there is.
And in the end, isn't that what you cling to? You can breathe now.

My Purpose

I am the sheep that will lead you astray,
The one who won't listen whenever you pray,
I can't see the future, but I know the past,
And you will be bound by the spells that I cast,
You ask for the answers, and where to begin?
I simply reply with a devilish grin,
'You make your own answers, and this is your world,
The one true religion is slowly unfurled.'
If you understand me, and know what I preach,
Then maybe you'll learn from the lessons I teach,
The God of the people, this God is your own,
And deep in your heaven, your personal throne.

Now take what I've taught you, and learn from it well,
There isn't a heaven, there isn't a hell,
The world is illusion held deep in our minds,
And truth is not something that everyone finds...

I was awake

I was awake inside a dream,
I saw each person living scream,
Each little soul held in a glass,
A bleak reminder of the past.

I was awake inside my head,
I was alive and I was dead,
Each little piece inside of me,
A lie was yearning to be free.

I was awake when I was killed,
When I was burning I was thrilled,
To know that I was always right,
I saw straight through the black and white.

I made my world,
Said my goodbyes,
I see the universe,
Deep in my eyes,
The mirrors smash,
The world is torn,
I am a god again,
I am reborn.
