Im not gaining exp or gold what i meant to say is after get the exp and gold from the battle i want to my AQ stats and i pressed update cache it would not show my AQ stats for today so i thought i needed to log out and log in but before i did that i pressed the battle monsters button and killed the grog and got no exp or gold so as i explained the game thought i had already gained enough exp and gold to reach my caps but i only got 20 thousand exp from 240 thousand exp i can gain in one day so its a glitch

If you are having trouble with AQStats, you will need to contact them. AQStats is not run by AE. Updating your cache there has no effect on your character.
In case you did not catch what I said earlier, your character is in the C/A/T clan, which significantly reduces your caps. ~Aelthai

For the guardian login, the system won't load any screen size except for the largest one. I tried the 500 x 450 and 640 x 480 and they all came out to be the same screen size of 1000 x 750. I closed down Mozilla and clear my cache already but it still didn't fix the problem.

Same problem for me, except it's 800x600.

Are you guys gonna fix this? Looks like it's been a issue for 2-3 hrs?

I have the same problem but it's on google chrome.

For the screen size "bugs", try this:

Rafaraujo97 -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (5/5/2010 12:53:05)

When we die or get stoned with the new boss in Mythsong we can still do emotes like jump, backflip, poins, etc... we die we're dead no sound, no movement.

This is AQ, not AQW.

disciplev1 -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (5/7/2010 13:14:55)

For all the characters on my account (AQ and WF), something ate my name on the battle bar. It just says "Character Name". If I hover over the picture, the correct name is at the top of the stat box. Weird.

big E -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (5/8/2010 3:16:42)

When I try to exit the Devourer Saga with the "Back to Town" button, the Devourer Saga menu simply reloads. To return to Battleon, I have to go to the Guardian Tower and then leave from there.

What button did you press to enter the Devourer Saga area?

Extra info: I even tried the name changing hour glass quest and it still did not work.
EDIT (5/11/10) it doesn't affect the dialog bubbles. An NPC could still say "Hey Legend Slayer!" Its just the one depicted in the second screenshot.
I found the problem. If you are using Google Chrome 5.0 or above, it comes with a beta version of Flash Player (10.1.53.38). Adventure Quest only works with version 10.0.45.2-8.0. To fix this, got to chrome://plugins/, and disable Shockwave Flash. This will stop Chrome from using its version of Flash Player, and just use your latest downloaded one. ~Bean Jelly

During game play battles, the mario ad from ballyho pops up behind the battle scene. you can see the ad to the left on the screen. you can even click on it and have it open up a new window.

GuardianJames -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (6/2/2010 17:14:49)

I'm not at all sure if this is the right place to post this, but anyway...

I was trying the "Lorian Kite Day" thing a few minutes ago and was doing the mini-game with Artix's borrowed kite, where you have to keep the kite within a blue boxed in area while avoiding oncoming trees for 60 seconds. Now, I've seen AE do similar mini-games before, and they were executed beautifully. This one? It's got to be the most horribly coded version of it I've ever seen. The hit detection is all over the map - I've been getting Game Overs in it when there was nothing anywhere near me! - and oftentimes the trees will spawn in a solid line that there is LITERALLY no way to pass through. Was this one even tested before being included in the game? This mini-game needs some serious reworking before being released to the general public. I'm posting this here because, yeah, it's that bad. I refuse to believe the coders were seriously this lazy. It has to just be buggy. Please don't let me be proven wrong.

chadrizard -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (6/13/2010 6:20:53)

^Aelthai already noted this under the Graphics Bugs thread.

She said it has to do with the compatibility of Flash Player 10.1

This happens on all web browsers, all OS (atleast Linux and Windows). Aelthai got it right, it has to do with Flash.

Lord of Nightmares -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (6/13/2010 22:53:02)

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I've been having a problem with all AE games that I play (AQ, DF, MQ and WF). It's kinda hard to explain properly in words, but I'll try.

The thing is, I usually have 4 browser windows open simultaneously (I'm also using Internet Explorer in case you're wondering) and play all 4 games simultaneously. I basically select my characters' actions in one game, switch to another window to do the same and let my turn in the first game run its course. By the time I'm done selecting the actions for my turn in the other 3 games, I should be able to command my character in the first game again (as in both my and the opponent's turns have already played out in the background while I was on another browser window), and this usually takes less than 20 seconds for the 4 aforementioned games.

However, a couple of days ago I noticed that everything suddenly slowed down *significantly*. To give an example, say I order my character to attack in AQ and then I switch to my MQ window and have my main run from one end of the screen to the other in Soluna. For some reason, any games running in the background will take much longer than normal for their respective actions (including cutscenes) to play out. Once I switch back to AQ, my character is still in the process of *starting* her attack even if 5-10 seconds had already elapsed, and when I check my MQ window, the character there is also practically in the same spot as where she was originally standing, although having that window active and open will then cause her to run at normal speeds. Same with any of the other games, I actually need that particular browser window open and active for my turn or the cutscene to play out normally, and any other windows in the background appear to be waiting for me to switch back to them before anything happens, unless I take at least a minute or two to switch back.

Right now, my only solution is to actually play one game without opening any other windows, then log out and play a different game otherwise the simple action of even opening another window even if it's say to check my Hotmail account will cause the game to significantly slow down, and it's extremely annoying. Other websites seem to load up normally and the problem thus far appears to be inherent with Flash Player, although I haven't tried any Flash-based online games yet so I'm not sure if that might be the problem as well.

I'm still using Flash version 10.1.53.64 and haven't upgraded since then, nor have I installed any new programs or applications recently, although on the day that the problem started I did upgrade my Adobe Acrobat Reader from 8.0 to 9.0. I tried uninstalling Acrobat Reader to see if that might've been the cause, but the problem still persists. Also, I'm using the latest version of Spyware Doctor, just in case that info might help.

Hope you get an idea of what I'm trying to describe, and hopefully someone has a possible solution to my predicament. Thanks.

chadrizard -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (6/14/2010 5:11:54)

10.1.54.64 is Flash's latest release, this also happens with several tabs, downgrading to flash 10.0.r45.2 solves it.

I tried it but unfortunately I am using my low-spec machine so I can't really tell the difference. (I GOT IT RIGHT!)

Because 10.1.54.64 RC7 (latest) RC stands for release candidate, the smaller case "r" versions are actual releases.

Older versions of flash can be found on the adobe website, so here is a link.

Hope I helped. [;)]

Note that the one to download is the "Flash Player 10 Versions" then install 10.0.r45.2 (exact name is flashplayer10r45_2_win)

Lord of Nightmares -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (6/14/2010 21:49:13)

Wow chadrizard, thanks for that info, it'll definitely help. I just finished downloading the Flash Player 10 archive, now I just need to figure out which version I'm supposed to install.

In the meantime, I tried switching over to Mozilla Firefox and there's no slowdown there even with multiple tabs/windows open, although for some odd reason sending and requesting data (such as when loading battles and rewards) can result in some extreme delays on occasion, which is why I'd like to switch back to IE as soon as I can fix this issue.

Thanks again for the help, much obliged. [:)]

chadrizard -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (6/15/2010 15:20:39)

Would it be mini-moding if I said the above question has already been addressed? [8|]

To read the other posts first before posting.

I don't know the grey area between mini-modding from helping anymore...Just really want to help.

bepfanfavorite -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (6/16/2010 19:39:21)

for some odd reason my potions wont save, i get them to 30 hp and 30 mp potions and then they go back to 3hp potions and 29 mp potions, im a guardian btw

chadrizard -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (6/16/2010 20:18:16)

^ Did you fight a monster and win after gathering 30 potions?

You have to win a battle to save the stats of potions.

Schwarzbart -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (6/17/2010 1:42:30)

Today I got a prompt that there is a new Flash Version so I updated. But now the grafics sometimes change from high to low and once to normal. (it hapend during fights & in Balyhoo when I was in a other Tab or loaded miranda)
Browser is IE 8 Flash Version 10.1.53.64 (According to AQ Login)

chadrizard -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (6/17/2010 5:35:07)

^ Err...Click on options (ingame, the one where you get the "pets attack battle: yes/no", then click "Advanced Options", uncheck "Auto Graphics Speed Adjust".

Schwarzbart -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (6/17/2010 10:21:14)

Thanks for this tip. I never haved this problem bevore that the High setting was replaced with a lower one because of the automatic only after the Flash update this hapens.

chadrizard -> RE: Game Engine Bugs (6/17/2010 16:22:36)

^ The flash update isn't really a "full release" yet, it's a release candidate (7th version is the latest IIRC).

I feel it still has issues.
