Guns don't get stat damage bonuses other than lucky strikes. The effect isn't noticeable in beta, but at higher levels it will become impractical for a striker build to use guns or a gunner build to use melee weapons.

Others games of AE have a thing that I don't like. That is problem about point. When I increase 200 points on Strenght in AQ or increase 75 point in MQ there almost nothing different. Hope WF don't have that crazy thing [:(]

Assuming you're talking about stat points there is a big difference. 200 STR in AQ gets you +12 BTH for melee weapons +25 random damage per 100% stats (and high level armors usually have 300% or more) for melee weapons, and +20 random damage for ranged weapons per 100% stats.

In Reign Plate with a melee weapon you get up to 75 more damage per turn than with 0 STR!

i dont get this im a guardian in adventurequest and warpforce is a add on and why r they making us pay to be a guardian in warpforce when were already 1 in aq cause it says its a add on?

The no-drop weapons. Gunner has a gun and Striker has a melee weapon. I would recommend DEX, LUK or a mix of both for a Gunner at this time.

Thanks Geno :) I think I'll go 25DEX 25LUK. Even though I have some melee weapons at the moment for elemental coverage, I should be able to get rid of them on Friday. :)

There is one other difference between Striker and Gunner at this time - the nodrop defences are focused differently. Striker is 27/21/21 and Gunner is 21/27/21.

Is there anything out about magic damage yet? right now if your using guns you have 4 attack options. your standard attack which does ranged, throwing your weapon which does ranged, your gauntlet which does ranged (or harm) or magic, which coincidentally, does ranged damage.

Magic is rare in space. The dimmed beam staff's special does magic damage and one of the breezy beam lance's specials does a hit of magic damage, but those are the only occurrences so far that I know of.

lol, vezha, i was about to say that. it's sort of interesting how 2/3 of the specials with magic can hurt you.

EDIT: ^ the special of the no-drop weapon for gunners is a magic special.
