dann -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/29/2009 0:58:10)

Does the Zippy Baby Dunc Z cost 855 Gold or 855 Z-Tokens?
Common sense dictates it costs Z-Tokens because of the Z at the end of the name, but the shop says 855 Gold.
Can anyone confirm this?

Edit: I tried buying it, and it said "This item is not available yet."

Zephyros -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/29/2009 3:03:54)

Thanks for pointing that out, dann-- I just fixed it. When an item's unbuyable, the default currency is Gold, which is why that one said it was Gold. You were right, it is Z-tokens.

dann -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/29/2009 3:42:30)

Thanks for confirming westwind.

Z3R0 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/29/2009 13:55:44)

Have I got all the best stuff for a striker?

http://aq.battleon.com/build30/charviewWF.asp?temp=63746866

I know there might be a few items I can get from quests.

Manga Maniac -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/29/2009 14:33:38)

What is the best (Non Z-Token) weapon for the following elements:

Fire
Water
Wind
Ice
Earth
Energy
Darkness.

i'm a gunner;but want to use melee weapons.Any difference between using range weapons or not?

Omni -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/29/2009 15:07:13)

As long as you have STR you can utilize Melee Weapons completely.

Manga Maniac -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/29/2009 17:09:51)

Thanks. Very useful.

EDIT: I'm planing on being a hybrid, any more specific tips?

moneybags -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/29/2009 18:14:35)

Manga Maniac,

Hybrids focus on three stats: STR, DEX and INT. What I'd have by level 40 would be something like this:

75 STR
60 DEX
50 INT
15 END

Dekomage -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/29/2009 18:21:43)

Any new armors, gauntlets, items, pets, and weapons I should get when I'm level 40?
I'm always wanting my level to be up to date with my weapons, so which should I pick up?
http://aq.battleon.com/build30/charviewWF.asp?temp=63246032

moneybags -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/29/2009 18:59:28)

Dekomage,

For weapons, just remember to buy Buffed Warp Gathorax (Light, located in the WG Shop), Warped Hullscuffer (Water, in the WG Shop) and the Refined Rocket Launcher (Fire, WG Shop). Even though it may be ranged, it still beats your current Fire weapon, the Cisor.

For your armors, just keep upgrading your current ones to a higher level (if able). (WarpTrooper III --> WarpTrooper IVW, AAA-Cell Warp Energizer --> AA-Cell Energizer, Star Knight Journeyman --> Star Knight, Heavy Gunner Model WD --> Heavy Gunner Model C)

Gauntlets are looking good.

For your spells, I'd sell the Gamma Emitter 2100G, since the Nanotech spell covers it. The WG Dissolve can be replaced with Melt (Gravlax). The rest look fine, again, just remember to upgrade them to a higher level (if possible)

For your pets, you only need one water pet. I guess you can keep 2 for now, but when pets become available for all elements, one would have to go. The rest look fine, I guess.

The Miscs look fine as well, just saying it again, remember to upgrade them to a higher level if possible.

Thanks, I'm taking that advice.

NecroMage22 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/29/2009 19:29:41)

I Wonder when they will be adding in the un-trainer???[8|]

Lotanubs -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/29/2009 22:49:26)

Tshhh.

A little bird told me this game is heavily leaned towards the melee class.
More than half of the weapons are melee.
At a glance, there doesn't appear to be a stat to increase gun damage.
And citrus.

Any truth?

Verlyrus -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/29/2009 23:02:15)

That little bird has told you the truth!
Although since the weapons are divided between guns and melee, 50% of weapons being melee isn't really favoring that much.
Gun damage can be affected by certain armors, though, I believe.

moneybags -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/30/2009 0:28:52)

A little addition to lordtomato's post, gun damage is not affected by stats by firing the gun, but its affected by stats when you are using a class skill with a gun (e.g., Throw Weapon, Power Punch, etc.)

~moneybags

Zephyros -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/30/2009 0:53:08)

It's not leaned in any direction, Lotanubs. It may appear to be at first glance, but it's not.

Yes, guns deal less damage than sticks. However, people who use guns aren't (or generally shouldn't be) using them as their primary or only means of damage. The gun is the "basic" weapon that everybody carries, and people use them as backups to the other things they do-- techs, pets/robots, etc.

In other words, Strikers train STR to deal damage with melee weapons, while Gunners train INT for techs, or CHA for pets, or END for more HP to deal the smaller amount of gun damage over a longer period of time. (Everybody trains DEX to keep up their accuracy -- or if they don't, and they put the stats somewhere else, they give up that accuracy.)

coolzmanvill -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/30/2009 9:07:44)

What stats should I aim for as a pure warrior? >.<

I was also wondering if I should add luck..

http://aq.battleon.com/build30/charviewWF.asp?temp=66220009

Thanks ;3

Mazic -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/30/2009 10:09:15)

@coolmanvill

STR, and DEX should be raised first.
Then get 50 END over time at least by lvl 75-80
after STR, and DEX are 200, and END 50, raise luck to 200.

I hope this helps.

Lord of Nightmares -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/30/2009 10:16:29)

What's a good offensive spell (any element) for a level 39 going on 40 character with only 5 INT at the moment? I'm trying to train up my INT stat more, but most spells that I have seem to deal incredibly pitiful damage, such as Cryo Bombs which seems to be hitting the trainer for 6 or even 0 (!!) damage, and I eventually run out of MP way before I even reduce his HP by 20%. Thanks.

coolzmanvill -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/30/2009 10:20:21)

@Mazic

Thx alot!~ It hurts every time I train my str.... its so expensive :P, especially when you're getting max 30 gold off each monster xD

Mazic -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/30/2009 10:33:39)

@Lord of Nightmares-

The only spells that comes to mind is,

WG WARP-level 20, deals lightning damage.
WarpGuardian Shop

WarpGuardian Vacuum-level 23, deals dark damage
WarpGuardian Shop

Spreading Warped IMP- level 25, deals light damage
WarpGuardian Shop

Sodium Warp Crystal- level 18.
Does ice and light dmg.
Location: Engineering Bay->Gravlax->Missions->WARP CRYSTALS!

~Mazic

moneybags -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/30/2009 10:38:40)

Lord of Nightmares,

There aren't many good spells at the moment. As long as they have the level closest to you, it should be the best option. Like you said, Cyro Bombs, which is level 20, shouldn't be a great spell at level 40. Just use it to cover the ice element ;) If you're looking for spells that deal 80-100 or so damage, you'll just have to wait until level 60 spells come out :)

~moneybags

Lord of Nightmares -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (9/30/2009 10:59:52)

Okay, thanks, looks like I'll have to hold off on increasing my INT for the timebeing and focus more on STR and DEX instead, trying to make a hybrid build like my AQ character.
