SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/2/2010 8:41:48)

A quest for the top two houses would be interesting but I would prefer a function for the Museum.

I wonder if we will get anymore housing updates before the Present Delivery?

Luster Bladewarrior -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/2/2010 9:34:43)

Sir Braveheart: Mhm. You need 35-40k tokens for full DME.

Not that I don't have them, but I like the prime treasures too>>Plus potential buyer of WPE and OC.

bad old lady -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/6/2010 10:26:49)

Yeah, I am using the token buildup on my other characters to upgrade to newer estates as I can, but I am trying to not sell the estate on my main as I enjoy being on the top 100 homes. To my understanding the people on the Top Estate List rotate to allow everyone a chance to be on it, but the top homes list is based on the cost of the estate......I think.

@SIGMUND I hope for an update soon too.

SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/6/2010 10:48:01)

The Top House list, is purely the Z value of the House, the Estate Buildings, the House Guards and the Artwork that you have.

The Top Estate list is the total updgraded levels of your Estate Buildings. This list rotates through all the Estates that are totally upgraded.
The current maximum being 157 levels for the DME and the FME.
15 for each Storage building and the Guard tower.
12 for the Trade Hut and then
10 for each of the other 10 buildings.

Billy Bob -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/14/2010 2:55:26)

We really need something that produce Wood.

Lord Lee -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/14/2010 3:48:55)

That really depends on perspective Billy Bob.

A Forest Estate owner really needs something that produces more Stone.

I think a good compromise can be found if we were to get something that produced 16 stone and 16 wood.

But I think an update to the Museum should be the next priority though I wouldn't mind more storage slots considering the Gift Boxes have filled up most of these lol.

Nessa Ellensse -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/21/2010 19:32:06)

I've got three charaters with estates. Eryn's resources are going to be burnt right off the bat due to no storage. Either Willow or Nessa's resourses are going to be used primarily in this war while the other saves the bulk of their resources for the gift deliver I haven't decided which one

Nessa Elenesse Frostval level 15 guard house barely gets attacked at all full storage

food 38/hour
wood 7/hour
stone 32/hour
energy 21/hour

Willow Darkovia level 11 guard tower gets attacked way too often full storage

Food 45/hour
wood 9/hour
stone 27/hour
energy 48/hour

Eryn Lasgalen beach estate, (has dreams of getting a forest mansion) level 15 guard house no extra storage

Food 15/hour
wood 7/hour
stone 7/hour
energy 5/hour

Ghengis -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/26/2010 16:48:27)

Due to a technicallity the museum can be assumed to be functioning since it was released since the captain said that those who bought the museum earlier will recieve _____ for every day that they owned a museum, if the captain sticks with his plan to tie in the rare upgrade features with the stat trainers while making the museum the producer of the ____ which is needed by the stat trainers to upgrade the rare items or such and such... Then in all actuality we are only waiting upon the stat trainers to become fully functional and not the museum... Interesting if you think of it in this way is it not..

Nessa Ellensse -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/26/2010 22:20:21)

If this every happened I'd have to choose between being able to upgrade old rares and resource production. This would especially hurt my character with the Frostval estate. Though I thought he said he would move that function completely to the stat trainers and use the museums for something else. Not only do the museums consume resources, I'd have to remove resource producers to make room for them. Though one of the things they were talking about was more slots for buildings. underground and such I wonder if you'll be able to put the museum and stat trainers underground?

SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2010 7:07:22)

I can't see any reason why they could not be underground buildings, we will just have to wait and wait, and wait, and wait.....................................................................................................................................................

helloguy -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/28/2010 13:03:45)

Any one any suggestions on what else i should do to my Estate buy guards?

peterfarge -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/28/2010 13:26:35)

- I'd like to push the neighbour idea. It would be nice to have fixed neighbours to your estate. At first I 'd like to link the 5 houses of my AQ Game Account. But then it would be nice to have real human players as neighbours (neighbours from other game accounts), which can help freeing my estate (the monster occupation). If your neighbour is shipshape, your estate attack rate reduces to the half, if you neighbour owns a freakshow your estates get attacked even often than normal.
- Some houses have bottlenecks with some kind of ressources. But you can balance it with the trade hut. If you want to use all of you ressources in a war you need the hut (Guard Tower makes no use of energy, so you trade 300 energy into 300 food). So in my eyes I dont see a reason for a new ressource producing estate.
- Museum: It could be a place to buy rares? The ten most wanted rares here in the form can be re-released within the museum. The museum director (indiana jones *g*) offers you to hunt for one of this rares. You give him the assignment to hunt for one rare. At first the rare costs 1 Million gold, but as long as the museum works every week the rare costs 10% less.
- And yeah, I hope the kingdom idea would be implemented some day. In a way that player groups can work and reach a target together.[;)]

@Sigmund (below): Not trading between accounts. Lord Lee mentioned that a Forest Estate has no suffizient source for stone. But this can be healed with a trade hut (he already owns).

SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/28/2010 14:00:10)

@ helloguy
http://aq.battleon.com/build30/charhouseview.asp?temp=45196655
unless you change your stats very often..... you should probably replace your Stat Trainer with a Fish Pond.

Buy some more guards to avoid the invasion attacks?

Edit:

@peterfarge: Yes some form of linkage between your character houses would be good.
Trading resources between them might be too advantageous to those of us with 5 estates.

sir lane -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/30/2010 22:45:33)

oh wel thanks nessa, and say uhm... that i was to get an estate, what would be a good bigginers one? ive NEVER used them before, but... im SO straped for tokens that my main source is my house. but... would advice would you give for a person who is just using thier estate?

SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/31/2010 14:13:49)

I would always suggest buying the biggest Estate that you can and still have enough tokens remaining to buy at least the basic resource producers. You will need
a Fish Pond or Vegetable Garden for food,
a Woodcutter Shack for wood,
a Stone Pit for stone,
a Mana Collector for Power and
a Trade Hut. those five basic buildings will cost 1700 Tokens.

If you can afford one, buy a Guard Tower to help protect your estate and send your guards into future wars. That is a luxury you can wait to purchase, if you have a few guards.

You will find your own strategy for developing the estate but I recommend:-
Gradually upgrade each of the buildings to level 3-4 and move resources around to help you upgrade them. You will almost always be short of wood.
That is just the way things are, for now. [:D]
Then as you get enough tokens start to buy the specialist super producing buildings appropriate to your estate, which will give you more than one type of resource.
Then you will probably be able to upgrade your buildings to level 7-8 but then try to upgrade the Trade Hut to level 12 to maximise the management of resources.
Then fully upgrade the rest of your buildings.

Here is the full info for houses and estates.

fearshbane -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (1/2/2011 12:22:56)

The shame for some people is that they gain less interest than others. I get a 200 token weekly interest while others get 160 due to the decrease in price.
It's a bit of a shame that you can't get the profits without selling your house since mine's worth about 66k by now.

And while I know I'm probably bashing the powder left over from bashing a dead horse I really wonder when we're going to get some news about the museum.
I just came back from what basically amounted to a year long break and it still isn't functional. I've been hearing soon for about 2 years now.
I know captain used to make the lame reference about soon being between now and until the sun goes supernova but I don't think he would like to hear that from someone who he purchased something from with real money himself.
Of course the captain did promise a compensation dependant on the amount of time you've had the museum but for that reward to be meaningful the museum will need to have it's functionality first.

-----------

Having another resource creating building is nice though. It allowed me to fill my last slot on my darkovia estate.
So the only detriment is my guard house (my museum is attacked and I'm keeping it that way).

One thing I'm curious about though, what does everyone consider the optimal level for a guard tower?
When I check twice weekly 11 seems to be a nice balance between resource cost and attack frequency.

Prosperine -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (1/2/2011 12:26:20)

I got 846 army wins with 5000 resources in each category, rep 8 half armies. This amount should rise as my storage buildings level right ?

bad old lady -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (1/2/2011 12:55:56)

@fearsbane My guard tower is level 11 but I am more than covered by my guards. If you are like me and only get to play occasionally, then you might want to level your tower up more or purchase more guards. It has been many, many months since I have been attacked, however most people prefer to check their tower once or twice a week as a way to spend less tokens. I am not willing to comment on the museum situation other than to say sometimes it is better to let go of an issue that you know you have no control over and instead reframe it into a more positive thought. Personally, I have let go of the frustration and sadness regarding the museum and if I feel it coming back I go to a different game. I would not suggest opening that topic. This is a game for fun and relaxation, not more frustration.

@Prosperine I think the amount of wins will increase, but remember your cost of sending the guards increases as well if you use guards. I have not noticed a cost increase in using my portal.

edit: @below Sorry I am not thinking clearly. The narcotic in the cough medicine keeps me foggy.

Prosperine -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (1/2/2011 12:58:22)

erm, @Bad Old Lady: you didn't even check my house did you ? or read my post at full ? I said Army wins, rep 8 half armies.. that's not a guard tower is it ? I have a L10 MWP ..
thanks for the answer though..

Travis Touchdown -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (1/5/2011 6:20:01)

I removed my Stat Trainers yesterday (didn't sell them, though-- I have a sneaky suspicion that I might be able to put them underground once that happens) and added in the Mana Collector and Stone Pit. Excluding the fact that my Guard Tower currently consumes resources, I'll soon be operating near max effiency.

Really, it wasn't until I bought the Cornfield that I realized exactly how great maxxing out resource production was. Once this is all done, I'll have more than doubled my Food and Energy production, and addedmore than another half to my Stone production. Sweet indeed. Now if only there was a Cornfield-esque building that worked on Wood and Stone ^.^

SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (1/11/2011 6:19:18)

Yes, we always seem to be short of Wood.
So where is it all coming from when we trade our excess food for it?
Forest Estates?
Possibly, but are there enough of them to supply all the Wood?
Then where do they get their Stone from when they trade the Wood.
Must be the Frostvale Estates?
With fewer Frostvale Estates there must also be some stone from the Darkovia Estates.
And the Frostvale estates are also short of wood and energy.
Do they get their Energy from the Beach Estates
but there are not so many of those.... the Darkovia Estates must be making the rest?

I wonder if we could have a tally of Estates to see whether it all adds up?
Or do we import resources from elsewhere?
Where would that be?

BexnDan -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (1/14/2011 4:48:55)

As an experiment I used half my resources on Trescol, rep 7, full armies and the other half on Kairula, rep 8, half armies.

Results:

Trescol, rep 7, full armies (sent 93 times)
595 wins
50,890 gold
148,450 XP

Kairula, rep 8, half armies (sent 93 times)
578 wins
49,330 gold
143,940 XP

No significant difference between the two so in future I will be sticking with rep 7, full armies as it takes a lot less clicking.

EDIT Got a few 7's, 8's halfs and fulls in the wrong places! Thanks to Etching for pointing out

Ghengis -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (1/20/2011 20:13:45)

Hmm... I wonder if in leu of the release of the Cornfield and its production of energy/food that Captain Rhubarb may release something along the lines of a Petrified Forest that could produce both stone and wood. Now that would be a dream come true.

brianspenceni -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (1/22/2011 15:58:24)

Just changed my 5 estates from rep 8 to 7. The stats reported here are very encouraging and, seriously, with a fully loaded estate it's taking forever to send the 1/2 armies at rep 8. So I'm eagerly awaiting the next war to see if there is any discernable difference, other than early onset carpal tunnel.

SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (1/22/2011 16:08:19)

Assuming full resources at the start of a war and the length of the war.
The diference is about 50 - 150 extra kills for rep 8 half armies.

Depending on how badly the RNG affects rep 7 full army results.
The difference will increase the longer a war lasts because you will have more resources to use.....

Remember that you do not have to use all your resources in one go. [:D]
