Ok, so its nothing rediculous or impossible, and it could be possible.
So you know Avatars? Maybe there could be frames. Y'now, like a little frame that surrounds your avatar.
This could make customizing your avatar more unique, because you could mix and match avatars and frames. There could be a selection of them.
And, a little addition, if you get a title, you could possibly select a special kind of frame that comes with a certain title.

So, think its a good idea?

Sounds pretty reasonable, actually. Dunno about staff opinions, but I, for one, think this help personalize our accounts.

bklynbarber: I'm unsure if you mean to post an image in your post, or to upload an avatar. Well, to post an image, you need to do this:
Write out "[image]LINK[/image]", but without the quotation marks. Where I wrote "LINK", simply post the link of the image you want to post. Very simple.

To upload an avatar, you'll want to go here: http://forums2.battleon.com/f/tm.asp?m=16629197

From there, skim down to FAQ #10, "I made these really cool avatars about the games. Can you add them?"

If you want your, custom avatar, skim down a little further, to FAQ #12 "How do I get a custom avatar?"

More personalization would be very beneficial to the community. Since we are not allowed to upload our own avatars, this could help distinguish ourselves in our community. As the OP said, mixing and matching frames with avatars would be very cool. The only problems I see with this would be the issue of coding. I'm not sure this forum allows frames to be coded in or supported.

Leumas Dragonsword -> RE: Avatar Idea (3/8/2011 1:36:56)

Maybe it wouldn't be so much coding in frames but coding in new 'frame avatars'. The way it would work is that all the original avatars would have to be a certain height and width smaller than the current maximum avatar size (maybe by 2mm on each side). Then with that extra 2mm you create a second 'avatar' that gets coupled with your exsisting one, a second layer of sorts. So in theory you would have two avatars, one the picture, and one the frame that would ultimately form the just the one. I don't know whether this would be more or less difficult for the coders than just making some sort of frame construction that you could toggle on or off.

I aggree with the suggestion and if it would be possible to execute I would use it, but it does depend on how much the coders ahve on their plates at the moment and there may/may not be other stuff that takes priority over ideas such as this.
