@Hun Kingq- Did you completely ignore frostlich's post? Nightwraith said himself that only regular strikes were given an extra chance to connect.

As a merc, I have tried str builds, and was completely disapointed. The win % was very low, as I was blocked almost every other fight. Although I do see how people can complain: Even the best players can be 2 hit with a maul-bezerk combo. If a str merc goes first, the opponent might not even get the chance to make a move. Of course, there are ways to prevent 2 hit kills (high hp, outrageous amounts of dex, massive tanking build, etc). Despite this, the fact that players are being killed without even taking a turn makes str builds deadly. I think that putting a 1 turn warm up on maul will help to prevent 2 hit kills.

@Hun Kingq: Hello,did you know Nightwraith can make the code of connect like this:

"WeaponNameCyber_Shillelagh.connect7% Only regular strikes"

If NW says its regular strikes then its regular strikes duh. Just because a dictionary can define the meaning of connect doesn't mean it can match up the coding of how connect was made.

FrostLich: That what you just gave would give errors because regular strikes is a button under a click event, I have been in programing years before Visual basic and Visual C++ just a misplacement of the code would create a global event not a specific event and tigura, if I say the sky is plaid would take my word for it or if I say a car can go a million miles per hour or would you want proof. In large programming codes mistakes happened especially when your staring at a screen for long periods of a time. I have learn a log time ago not to take peoples word for anything or when someone says trust me I proceed with caution.

I used the new sword and staff on regular strikes and they got blocked and the players Dex was lower than mine was, so I questioned where is the % of connect.

They should have put in the code for these weapons a top strength limit forcing the strength abusers to lower the strength.

@Hun King:Either that or your build is quite unlucky. I've seen you create your builds multiple times, a 68 str and 76 support build with too low dex and resistance with a lvl 1 heal. Plus, you don't just strike and strike and strike. Whether you often do that, this doesn't mean that all strikes will 100% hit your opponent to death. Sure 7% is a big ignore of block rate but that doesn't mean it will COMPLETELY stopped them from blocking. Oh and do you even bother looking or even calculating the % of block rate by comparing your dex to your opponent's dex?? If so even if its smaller, then they still get a 4% chance of block rate oh and don't expect for another block rate nerf because block rate was already nerfed.

@Hun Kingq- Its true that one can make mistakes while coding. But maybe thats why they spend lots of time testing what they are about to release.

Tigura, test in a lab similation environment is different then actually testing in the real game environment. What they should of did was create a code just for them and battle players with high block rates to conduct the test, for mercs they need to have a high strength build and test the skill attacks to see if they get blocked before and after the weapon.

FrostLich I use different builds because I do my own real game testing to see testing what happens and the one build you seen me with the highest I got with the sidearm was 77(that was on a high support merc) but the battle I was in with you, which I lost my Internet connection, was after I typed in the verification code which you saw you blocked times times Iused physical strikes and the damage to you with the sidearm was more like a level 10 to 15 sidearm but before the verification code a mage put on a max level technician I got 30 and 31 damage with the sidearm.

About the Dex if the opponent has a higher dex shouldn't that player have a higher chance of blocks then the player with lower dex like the high strength mercs have extremely low dex and they block my strikes more often then I could count.

I just battle NPCs with the new sword and staff first strike just regular strike got block and three times after that then first strike malfunction got 47 damage each time so each weapon was blocked with regular first strikes but with malfunction strikes no blocks.
