^ quest doesn't recognize which faction you are supporting, so Oz is basically asking anyone to help. :p

Fame? Meh. Sounds like maplestory, trading fame for...something i think.

City guard? Improved. Nice armor. :D

Completed the quest, more money! XD

Deadly PoisoN -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/26/2011 5:13:31)

What can i say?Is the bazaar closed due to construction...Pf,really man,if epicduel is going t become like high school,then why the hell did i finish it.To go back?Iv'e got this crazy cool idea,let's create an emo,goth and punk class to replace all existing classes in the game,that will help further the childish and unintelligent environment you're trying to build here.

T.600 -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/26/2011 5:21:03)

Right now, fame is a bloody terrible idea and I have no idea what Titan and Nightwraith are attempting to achieve here. Although if they are going to build on fame is should be like reputation in AQW ( exile or legion rep). Having a reputation system would allow for many of us players to be intrigued with the storyline and be proud to support either exile or legion. Currently all you can do is fire those cannnons which have no use except for taking your money and in result giving you an acheivment worth 1k rating points, wow! So, fame should build on the faction war and not act as a 'teenage popularity contest in Epicduel'. I know the majority of Epicduel players are teenagers, and i respect that but the adults should be considered just as well as the teens as the adults probably purchase more varium packages,therefore bringing in more money for marketing. Seeing that, fame is lame right now...:P

Cinderella -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/26/2011 8:52:26)

@Deadly PoisoN- art takes time. You don't want a sloppy Bazaar that Nightwraith put together in an hour, do you?

@T- think of it as a marketing strategy. Even Randor and Korin were getting into the fame competitions on Twitter. And people will post their character pages on their facebook pages, meaning people will try out the game. As far as things go, it's a pretty non-invasive marketing strategy, and hopefully will prove to be useful as such.

That went through my mind as well, a few of my mates posted their Character Pages on Facebook and i think if people come across that, and are a little unsure exactly what it is then they can tell them, they'll tell their friends etc and maybe will bring in some new players. There's a lot of benefit from this that i see now that i didn't before, you just need to look a little deeper in what the outcome come be from such a thing like this.

@Cinderalla; I know it is intended as a marketing tool but today i saw almost everyone at oz world 7 repeating the same thing; "fame for fame"? So this made me perceive it more as a popularity contest in the community rather than a marketing strategy,well that's just my opinion but I could be wrong because no one is always right.

Serpeants -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/26/2011 9:44:56)

Wow what a new release.[:)] This release is fun and the fame?! Cool, thats what I want to say.

Digital X -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/26/2011 9:59:17)

Done the Junkyard Mission on my Mage, went to get the lvl 15 armour, and kinda couldn't :P I'll pick it up when the shops are fixed, Merc still needs both missions done [:(]

saaaaaaaaaaaaa -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/26/2011 10:03:50)

can't complete the challenge quest at the moment......

8x -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/26/2011 10:30:52)

^You can just fight NPC's btw, it works on them too.

I don't agree with locking servers until a certain capacity is filled. Social playing will now be undermined as well as playing the game with tad of privacy. On the design notes, this was designed to deal with dummying and piloting. I thought there already procedures aiding to reduce this.

In regard to Piloting, as long as the game focuses on how many and how fast, anyone can pilot accounts. I am not sure how this will deal with piloting.

It is a form of compression I don't find appealing at all. Not all people who play this game privately are dummying. To deal with one situation, the game cuts another's freedom.

I agree. I don't like being on the dense servers, because my computer is slow. Not planning to buy a new computer for quite some time. When I chat on the denser servers, it usually gets delayed, due to lag. I like going on the bottom two servers, since it has way less lag for me.

Battle Capcha, skills randomize, challenge one player 10 times per day is fine, but server lock to try to stop dummying and piloting is gone too far this time. Its restricting those that doesn't dummying and piloting. Feels like the bottom two servers was taken out, and only have two servers left. Now that the server lock restricted some of my freedoms and others as well, it doesn't feel good at all.

Same with AQW, I don't like going on Cysero server, since it has too many people on it. Prefer to go on servers that have less people on it for less lag.

The other features, I'm ok with.

[:)]@cindy
Maybe it could be like the J6 area in AQW. =)

Digital X -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/26/2011 11:52:26)

Linerider style Bazaar? different :P

Shocka -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/26/2011 15:27:03)

I think people would rather have 10 new weapons that are sloppily drawn and a completely white background bazaar with the weapons than a super detailed high quality map like usual. :P just my opinion

Wraith -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/26/2011 19:27:52)

Buffy and JZaanu are completely right. Now people cannot even havesome quiet and unlaggy servers to NPC on. THEN Epic Pwnser beat me to saying that our Frostbane versus Azrael's Bane is pretty much canceled. All that time of preparation and suspense, completely wasted.

Then I've met people who say Fame me ill fame back. I clicked on the ignore chat 183 times so far. EVERY SINGLE one was a low level without the experience to know that fame=respect=EARNING respect.

Buffy, you could not be more correct in this case.

If you're thought process on this is "wrong" T.600, then I'm right there with ya in the wrong. It's a useless bit of fluff that's added even more aggravation to a daily player's activities.

TankMage -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/27/2011 0:14:19)

Fame = Ruining the fun considering its useless. W7 oz is one of my favorite places to hang out and now its just filled with noobs asking "fame for fame"
Bazaar still not open = Didn't see that coming (sarcasm)
Locked servers = Absolutely useless ... These servers were incredibly fun if you wanted a private house party or a good 2 v 2 with some friends.

edwardvulture -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/27/2011 1:22:50)

Why you gotta lock those servers? Just add a sign that says "Switch Server Now" if a noob has been waiting for more than 30 seconds.
I hate flame for fame like the above posts.
It said the bazaar would open on your twitter...
I enjoy the quests though.

Vitodawn -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/27/2011 3:41:09)

As I said in the other post, this stupid server locking is like bishops constricting your moves in a chess game, or like a vise being tightened around your head. You think that every server would shut down. I feel the same way.What can I say? End server locking. Oh, and they forgot to put 1.1.4b on the front page.

DarkNight1223 -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/27/2011 4:03:27)

From this update. It clearly states that Titan/NightWraith want to create lag?

Silver Lion -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/27/2011 4:11:31)

Seems like a nice update overall to me. :]

Lol, that trailer seems a little.....old and I'm tired of "F4F" "FAME ME!!!"

TankMage -> RE: =ED= Design Notes March 25, 2011: 1.1.4b - Mission Possible (3/27/2011 17:19:02)

Agreed ^ , trailer is good. But getting a bit old.

You should ask Xyo to make you one >:D
