well a credit reward to all beta players would be nice. but the devs gave us just a badge which just give stars that kinda good (ye think the devs are being cheap). oh and not to forget if u forgot to claim the badge u basically dun get anything if u r non varium or varium which buy small packages. credits is very important for non varium players as u can see to fully enhance a wep u need at least 100k creds to get 6 stats and for +8 enhancement weps hmm can a non var enhance 8 slots without any varium. hmm i wonder who has 300k credits. it takes months to farm that much credits. That is why a credit reward to all beta players (yeah even those players which did not or forgot to take the beta achievement) would be a good reward because the varium player can also use the credits to buy their house items and the non var can at least enhance 2 slots or maybe more. idk wat would be a good amount but i would set it at 20k credits for all beta players.

Anyway, I believe that Shad is the only person actually making logical points (that I have to agree with).

I have an important thing to ask all whom oppose:
Are you a Beta Phase player? Did you expect a majority of Gamma players not to ask for more? Are you just saying this because you aren't getting the item (dig deep)? Do you expect the Gamma Bot to be upgraded once the phase is over and it is surpassed (because it is plausible...)?

beta actually was a year. It started in July 2009 and ended in July 2010. Most people think beta started in December of 2009.

i think beta's that joined during (or before) founder promo should recieve a plus 1 phyical damage weapon, but it would be the biggest and coolest weapon in the game. I' talking gamma bike big, it would be just for showing off. But the plus 1 damage is there for a reason, you would be able to leave it at the junkerbot if you wanted, (like all other basic items)

anyone support this???

I totally agree, I think a buyable bike or other on varium equipment (ONLY for beta testers/founders/elites/alphas) because beta testers are the building blocks of this game (there are way fewer founders compared to beta-equipment owners and elites bare spent anything)

I woulndt want the developers wasting there time on a useless bike. Id rather they do something productive.

We beta testers don't deserve anything more, We got beta weapons, We got an achievement, We had access to some now rare weapons. Not the developers fault you didn't take advantage of beta when it was there.

Honestly, this is more of a question of entitlements. Let's take a situation that we'd know in Real life.....

Labor Unions. Without their constant efforts that spanned more than 100 years (1911-Present), the workplace would have been a dangerous, dirty, and disgusting place. However, the situation is quite different now. Because of Labor unions asking for so many benefits (Like Health care, less work hours, higher wages, ect), people have found out that it's generally cheaper to re-locate work to a foreign country. If you've seen the tags "Made in China" on the products you use, you'd know what I mean here.

Now I will apply that here. I believe asking for entitlements is indeed a dangerous game - Too little of it, and we'd be (Or at least feel) cheated. Too much of it, and we'd become spoiled, elitist brats.

At this point, I think we should actually think of the future positive and negative questions of the entitlements we seek. I'll give two examples of this:

1. Giving all Beta Testers a specific, powerful set of items (Complete with Primary, Armor, Sidearm, Zooka and Bot) would no doubt create a problem with Power inflation, and therefore, would cause the staff to release ever more powerful items to compensate, further hurting balance and the future of the newer players.

2. Entitling all Alpha Testers with badges that ranks them above everyone else would cause the natural ranking to collapse: The Majority of the population is lowly ranked, while there would be an "elite group" of people with the highest ratings possible. However, if the curve was broken, the majority of people would have the highest rankings, with a minority with low ranks. This in turn would the team to make more stars and more ranks to try to restore the natural curve back, hence, why the 6 and 7 star ranks were even created in the first place.

Now you see what the effects of being entitled special, powerful items does, I think we'd all need to reconsider what we should be asking for.

-_- non varium player did not get beta weps. seasonal rares will come back. gamma players get to use all the seasonal rares that were in beta. only rares such as bunnyzooka, rixty rippers,beta weps and founder armor cant be used and all these weps are varium weps. the achievement was not given,players had to collect it before hand. some players did not collect it so basically they did not get the beta achievement. Only thing a non varium player got was seasonal rares which will be coming back and all non var will soon have them and use them because some of them were the strongest non var weps. Non variums also got the badge but if u dun claim the badge u basically get nothing. we tested the game we should at least get something i dun mind just getting free bag slots or credits because it is aqt least something.

Back to topic: I dun mind not getting special weps for testing beta because the weps would make the gamma players feel bad. that is why i rather have bag slots or credits. they dun annoy any1 and they give a significant advantage to those people who have tested beta.

@Luna, But admittedly if you didn't collect the badge thats just lazy it was out for months. And hopefully non-variums get their turn of rares in gamma because some of the releases have being so money hungry lately its just annoying. But just remember we varium players keep this game running.... without us there is no epic duel.

^some people did not know about the badge. well i collected the badges with all my alt. alphas got their badge without even clicking a single badge from the badge shop. Some also did not know where to get the badge.

Hmm . I'm a beta tester . I got my achievements and my beta weapons and I gladly use all of this . I'm good .. I'm not asking for anything . Although , being a techmage , the Beta Sword is pretty useless to me , seeing the staff has 1 more stat point , doesn't give strength and lets me use the rest of my skill tree . So for one, if only the ED team would make something like an option for beta weapons to switch attribute or something cool like that , I'd gladly send you a hug in the mail [:)]

Like they don't abuse stats now [;)] Besides , they are only level 25 weapons . I only wish this ,so that i can use them against Boss NPCs [:)]

Created an account, got to Lv. 8, quit because at the time Mercenary was below the other two classes, I didn't even bother getting the stupid award things. AQW couldn't care less for their beta testers, hell, Beta isn't even around anymore, the testing period ended ages ago. Why demand free stuff after being given the privilege to test the game before the rest of the populace?
