u got it all wrong.
the 5 focus BH energy shield is about 20-30 res shield.
for 13 energy.
they can use it about 4 times.
when u malf and they shield
ur doing only about 10 from gun and aux and 3 damage per strike.
they can heal more than thru a single robot attack.
and if they do need a heal. they heal about 40-60 hp. depending on FM's lvl.
the more hp u have and the more time u spend healing, the more they can attack u and let them regain hp thru bloodlust. and if they have energy shield up constantly u wont damage him enough for a kill.

and about assim
thats assuming u have a staff. and if u have a staff its going to be energy. ur gonna be lacking physical damage. then ur screwed even more if they keep energy shield up.

thats why im saying that if they were to remove agility that would be more benifical to the mage than the 3 round cooldown. cuz if there using 140 thats an 2 def and res there goin to get back and its going to take 1 def and res away from the bh. allowing the mage to to more damage and take less damage.

the odds are still stacked against the tech mage, a damage or 2 per turn isn't gonna do much of a difference when they attack u.

plus if they do take agility they could just have their bh go 5 focus and about 101 hp.

5 focus and 101 health is that even possible? and if it is they wld have no energy makin it harder to heal, shield, and smoke (to some extent)

well theoretically they only need 39 energy. the other 7 will serve for a lvl 2 field medic if needed.
but they would be able to energy shield 3 times.
and yes its possible to go above 95 hp with 5 focus.
because of lvl 33
merc goes to 105 hp while 5 focus.
and its 49 hp. thats 4 below BH so i guess its 101 for bh.

i was actualy experimenting with a 152 hp build. and its actualy the perfect counter build for all sorts of 5 focus builds. the only weakness i was experiencing was the -4 def and res i had. in many fights if i would just barly die and if i would have been able to atack i would have won. so if agility was goin i would have had the extra hp i needed to survive. and i fought maybe 30 5focus bh and only lost to 4 or 5 of them. mercs wernt realy a problem neither were 5focus mages. but sup mages were troubled me more than the bh

where they even playing smart?
the ones i was fighting had their energy and stats perfect, they had decent records and their strategy were good.
i only fought like 5 and lost to 3 of them
the other 2 i got lucky because i critted with gun and aux while they had energy shield on.

This will never happen.

The developers do not change their adjustments. If this did breed into an update, expect the cost of varium to lower cooldown rates on skills.

yea most of them played very well it just that my assimilation messed them up (and i just played better cuz im awesome xD) the wons that i lost to all had energy boosters.

actually healing loop is back but for varium mages only. btw T.600 I pm you to show you it is back. hope others didn't see it.

well im sure it was evened plain fields.
but assimilation will mess them up if it doesn't get blocked.
and thats assuming its a big amount.
if they have 45 energy and all they need is 39
and u use assimilation twice doing 2-3 energy it wont be enough.
it would have to be 8-10 energy taken to have a bigger effect, but then that would cut out most of ur deadly aim.

i think i forgot to take a screen shot of the build cuz i cant find it. but it had either a lvl 5 or a lvl 7 assim... cant remember what it was. but there was no DA used.

i think this was the skill tree

it is kind of back, it wasnt ever realy completly gone, but its no where near as powerfull as it use to be

well if they were really smart enough they would have not used energy for anything else aside from energy shield.
atleast thats what i would have done. the damage output u do is enough to heal u 8-12 hp with bloodlust. and if energy shield is up they heal more than u damage. plus theres always that risk of them blocking assim and malf.

i have a physicaly gun and bludgen to do extra damage. and i have enough hp and a strong enough heal to survive long enough to rage atleast 2 times and malf 2 times. Played right i have rage with aux right after there shield goes down doing enough damage to force them to heal causing them to not have enough energy to shield because of assimilation then after i malf a second time there weak.

most of the 5 focus BH had as much support as i did so they would deflect alot.
and the aux would still be weak because ur malf wont be up.
if ur malf gets blocked and he energy shield, he can basically stay at 95 hp until energy shield runs outs.
then ur aux would do a 30-40 because most of them use energy bunny borg. which is around 32-39 to 40-48 res lvls.

add better guns with better enhancements on dex, tech, and support. that fits mage (both energy and physical)

u can add that to the list of improvements for tech mages

i think the build had 87 sup so the damage on my aux would be 20-24+38 so a minimum of 58 damage and lets say on average they have 30 res rage ignores 45% so i would do like 40-44 damage with the added damage b4 that they would have between 1/3 and 1/4 of there hp. thus forcing them to heal. get it? its all about out playing them and considerin 90% of the bot users are mindless zombies. so its not that difficult


i saw ur edit...i wonder if you've ever fought them as a mage... ur give the bh way to much credit cuz there not nearly as powerful as your makin it sound

well what helped u the most would be assimilation.
and if its a smart 5 focus player then ur gonna be in trouble. most of them are mindless but some are smart (like me when i use 5 focus sometimes altho i prefer str builds because they are faster.)

well most of them have 95% on the boards. (i tried 5 focus BH builds it was a bit higher than 95%)
what gave u the most advantage was assimilation, thats if it hits.
without their energy to use energy shield they would be screwed. but they dont need to use field medic to stay alive.
from my perspective all they needed was energy shield every time u malfed. they can still do it 2-3 times even if u assimilate them once or twice.

Great ideas, though if some mages skilled are revived i think the should posibly think of reviving some BH ones aswell like stun grenade and multi shot.

I especially like the asimilation idea where the actuly attacked can be blocked but the mana taking part cant be which would meen asimilation would become a usful skill
