@Dwelling: If I recall correctly Artix said that he trained there. Which is why I thought it was a indication of an area not a group.
Also, there is lots of HQs. Because, how do you expect New Recruits to gain equipment for the task at hand. Or New Recruits to even get the Paladin Armor.
There has to be some place for all of this. Since Artix is trying to recruit more Paladin Members I can see why he would have the Paladin Armor and give it to us,
but...once he runs out where does he go?

I know that, I said in DF He went to the Paladin Order because Lady Celestia sent him there. As that proves such a thing exists. Not that he cannot become the head over time.
Also once you go to be a Paladin in AQ, you see Artix in some sort of Tower where he lets us get equipment from the armory.

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/16/2011 17:03:58)

@BurningKatana: This quote is from the previous page, last post.

quote:

ORIGINAL: Dwelling Dragonlord

Currently he is either standing next to a Graveyard or hunting undead, so how do you reckon he would lead the Paladin Order properly? He is a great inspirational figure I give you that, but I think Artix would be more concerned with all the undead running about than hiring a building for Paladin meetings. In AQ, Paladin HQ(?) is the Guardian Tower which says enough really.

Also, should Artix be the head of the Paladin Order, he would have access to some armoury.

1412. -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/16/2011 17:09:01)

@Dwelling Dragonlord: I know that its the Guardian Tower in AQ. But we have yet to see any Paladin Equipment in the Guardian Tower here.
Only Guardian Equipment, and there is a fine line between Guardian and Paladin.

Exactly! But he can't just carry it around all day...and we don't see any armory. Proof of this being he doesn't even have a Paladin Shop, he only allows
us to purify the Doom Weapons.

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/16/2011 17:20:48)

@BurningKatana: It's your favourite game, "Pick your answer!" Choose your own wisdom in this game, everytime a surprise to play!

Answer #1
spoiler:

In Lore it is a common thing to let the blacksmiths to your equipment, as can be seen with the Paladin Storage in Yulgar's Inn (AQ).

Answer #2
spoiler:

Same could be said about Galanoth or Tomix though, well mostly Galanoth.

1412. -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/16/2011 17:36:51)

So...if Artix is truly the head of the Paladin Order... how would anyone know? How would anyone know if someone joined the Paladin Order.
Also assuming that how Necromancers, Death Knights, and maybe some Tenebromancers reside in the Necropolis, their HQ. Why wouldn't Paladins have some
sort of HQ, or something?

Dragonlords have Dragongrasp
Necromancers have Necropolis
Soul Weavers have SW Academy
Guardians have the Guardian Tower

The majority of the classes have some sort of bases, where they can return to. Or where they can recruit or gain information. I see the Paladins not having some sort of base
as inefficient. Also when does Artix have the time to go to a Blacksmith when he is always out in DoomWood? He is ALWAYS fighting Undead.

Jayko99 -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/16/2011 17:39:55)

Can't wait for that Sandsea path

Acient J -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/16/2011 17:41:30)

Suppose that in AQ there is an HQ and a head, but in DF there isn't. With Artix's wandering, I imagine that in DF it is the individuals bound under a common oath.

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/16/2011 17:48:01)

@BurningKatana: Who said Artix had to go to the shop? When you can let the new recruits get their own suit of armour?

quote:

Necromancers have had Necropolis

Unless Vayle opens up to take in new students anytime soon.

quote:

Guardians have the Guardian Tower

*Looks at Amityvayle, then the Sandsea, then Popsprocket, then Bask, then Willowshire, then Falconreach.*

I feel rather sorry for them.

1412. -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/16/2011 18:02:37)

@Dwelling Dragonlord: Point taken. But being the "Head" of the Paladin Order... does he really have a job at all then? I'd say they wouldn't
go solo either. They would have some sort of plan or a center to meet up, or even a fortress to hold strong against the Darkness.

Actually I think Vayle Did open it back up to teach "Good" Necromancy.

Yes...people really just throw away Guardian Towers.

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/16/2011 18:11:38)

@BurningKatana: Artix really does not strike me as the type who would think strategical, at best he would not charge in screaming call on his allies, but you know how he feels about sharing undead with others.

Vayle giving lectures to us*/walkaround for the Necropolis.

*There is NO way she could be as bad as those "teachers" in AQW, forgive me but I crave for some "enlightened" necromancy.

nightslayer321 -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/18/2011 5:45:19)

Actually a good idea here. Maybe when they add a walkaround for the Necropolis, Vayle can be located like a Necropolis teacher.

About Artix being the head of Paladin Order, well, i don't know how is it in AQ, but here in DF he seems rather lonely like paladin...

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/18/2011 5:56:46)

@nightslayer321: It is no different from AQ, where he meets up with Halenro at best.

nightslayer321 -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/19/2011 4:32:47)

Well, at least other paladin...

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/19/2011 7:11:31)

@nightslayer321: Right now, paladins seem to act like rangers. Always(?) on the move to get to their next target.

I doubt rangers would have HQ.

@Tomix: In terms of walkaround, where exactly is Edelia?

Fingerman -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/20/2011 21:16:01)

What do you think is in the rest of Maguswood Forest?

Mern -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/21/2011 2:15:19)

i would most definitely like to see a lot more walkarounds. something to do between quests. i'd like to see a path or paths through the forest northeast of surewould and up through to willowshire.

a path to the sandsea
and a path from willowshire to riverene keep

with lots of interesting hidden things and interesting people to talk to along the way

Kage~ -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/21/2011 9:58:03)

@Mern- That sounds interesting, maybe they could also do some one-time quests like the ones on the way to Falconreach!

nightslayer321 -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/29/2011 16:52:16)

Good news from Ghost:

quote:

Blackwyn Tomb is also scheduled to come out tomorrow, but Rol is insanely busy so it might be a little dicey right now. Here's hopin'!

quote:

Blackwyn Tomb is just a place to explore. It's sorta non-standard in the sense that there's more emphasis on exploration than the normal 'talk to npc, get quest' scenario. It's a dungeon crawl. ^^

Thats music for my ears!

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (7/29/2011 17:21:45)

@nightslayer321: Perhaps we will get a taste of Bludrut Keep (AQ not AQW) again.

steel blade -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (8/1/2011 11:41:33)

If the northern walkaround (Verteroche, etc.) has a background music, I think that all should have one. Perhaps, different per each, fitting for that particular walkaround.

Acient J -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (8/11/2011 17:28:24)

The Blackwyn path throws everything out of proportion. The whole walk from Valencia to Doomwood now needs to be expanded.

Voodoo Master -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (8/11/2011 17:48:50)

A philosophical question- If The Void can be reached by simply walking through the gate in Ravenloss, is it still not a part of the world? If it's accessible all the time without repetitive effort (the gate creation was one-time effort) I think it can be as well part of the world. And if it is, can it even be called The Void?

IMO the gate connects The Void with Lore and as long as it's still open, The Void is part of Lore.

Whut? whut? whut? *head explodes* [:D]

Anyway, now what the chapter one is finished, i coul be happy if they update some quests (i think they are updating some, so continue like that! [:)])

plue344 -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (9/19/2011 13:21:52)

Of course the void is a part of lore, so is death's place and the elemental plane; they are all parts of lore but in DIFFERENT PLANES.

steel blade -> RE: All roads lead to Falconreach — a walkaround discussion IV (9/19/2011 14:15:21)

Planes as in that thing that flies? [:D]

Anyway, I want an Amityvayle revamp, I guess. But, that would take away the nostalgia though. Either that or a theme for Oaklore.
