No Brainer -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 14:08:30)

Thanks for the signature, it's lovely.

Nightlark -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 14:15:14)

:) No problem. Glad ya liked it!

Sorceress555 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 14:47:44)

I was about to say, great job on that siggy, SD!

MY favorite things:

Harry Potter (Expelliarmus! Silencio! Levicorpus! Yeah, I got bitten by the HP bug.)
Eragon (Kvetha Fricaya! Atra esterni ono thelduin, moranar lifa unin hjarta, atra evarinya ono varda.)
Magic (As long as it has at least a pseudo-scientific explanation, as it does in Harry Potter.)
Fantasy
Science Fiction
Anime (God, I'm just SO addicted to it! The only thing is, a lot of manga, or anime comics, include indecent material.)
Signatures (As you can tell from my making this shop.)

Anastira -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 14:53:02)

Carly: So...you only like the Eragon movies? But I thought the movie was supposed to be terrible! Sorry. Obviously, I haven't seen it yet...another thing on my to-do list.

b: Last page, you said something about me not being as good as you...1) you distort a lot of the proportions on your siggys, 2) your text always has blocks of color around it so that the block looks weird against the natural background of the picture, 3) I've only been doing this for a week, now, and I only got into a sig-making craze yesterday. So. :D I'll learn. And so will everyone else who's a newbie in the area.

Nightlark -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 14:59:03)

@Ana: Do not watch the movie. NO. It's horrible. They portrayed the characters horribly, and botched the entire storyline. Definitely NOT on my recommend list.

---End of off-topicness

bsteiny16 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 15:45:13)

Hey guys. Sorry I havn't been on today, but I can't do any sig making for today. I'm sorry, but something came up.

Snoopy is sad. 8(

@Ana, I was kinda tired......I'll check what I said. I don't think I meant it.

Sorceress555 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 15:51:25)

Hey, sister! I know you are easily indignant but b was referring to your siggy made by D1F3Forum, not any siggy you yourself made. Plus he was comparing it to his own siggy which was also made by D1F3. So there's no 'I'm better than you at making siggys' going on here. B is just saying how much he loves the great job D1F3 did on his siggy.

Anyways. I'll have a phoenix siggy comin' up ASAP; a good part of the day today, I'm afraid to say, I'll be unavailable, soo...

bsteiny16 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 15:55:34)

Yup. I checked. That's what I said.

And I would be alot better if I had Gimp. But I don't. :(

And I don't always use blocks of color. I used to always just use transparent so the text would just be on the actual image. But....D1F3 inspired me to try a new style after my first month of siggy making.

So that's why I use blocks. And it looks cool. :)

Anastira -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 15:57:46)

Sorceress: Ah...sorry. His post wasn't very clear. Please don't call me indignant...

b: I see what you meant now. Well, they're sort of different styles; I asked D13Forum for a simple kind, just with a Phoenix, a red background, and my name. Well, I actually did ask for blendy words, which I know how to do but apparently D13 doesn't, because he said he couldn't do it...anyway, you asked for a more intricate siggy - it's all just a matter of tast whose is better, I think.

bsteiny16 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 16:01:34)

Ana, it's D1F3!

It took me 10 minutes to start spelling his name right after I joined the Chaos Weaver Nation. And now we're tight!

Sorceress555 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 16:03:28)

Siggy here! It'll be going onto first page right now.

EDIT: Wow, soon I'll need to start thread 2.

bsteiny16 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 16:07:20)

That's pretty cool!

Also, how do you add images to a sig? I can't do that, so I use the whole image. Sorceress and Carly, could you tell me how you do that?

Anastira -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 16:08:48)

Nice siggy, Sorceress! I'd use it myself, except for I've become quite connected to the one D1F3Forum made for meh.

b: Aw, D1F3Forum is so much harder to spell! Can't I just spell it as D13Forum? :D...

b (above): I got the secret too, since Sorce and I are twin sisters and therefore share the same two computers. But I'm not gonna give the secret away; let sis do that! :D.

Sorceress555 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 16:10:23)

Umm...sorry? Not really sure what you mean. If you just want to add any old image, you upload it to a picture-hosting site, then slap on image codes over the image's URL, but you obviously already know how to do that so...

Anastira -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 16:16:06)

Sorce and I are going offline for probably about five hours, now. Stuff.

bsteiny16 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 16:49:20)

Okay...

Not what I meant. I mean, how do you combine images together like you guys keep doing?

To make 1 big image?

Nightlark -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 16:51:39)

@b: I thought I PM'ed you the method? I know that Ana and Sorcie asked for the details (the Fotoflex/Paint thing is what we're talking about, right?), but I remember sending you a copy as well. It's a million times easier if you have GIMP, though.

bsteiny16 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 16:59:57)

I want Gimp......but I can't get it. I aksed my parents, but they said NO. :(

Edit: THE PAURPLE! IT BURNS!!!!

Destroy8r9 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 17:04:36)

Yeah i liked the movie :P

OMG guess what? Once i get the money, remember the time-turner Hermione used in the Prisoner Of Azkaban? I'm getting a replica :D I'ts made out of 24 karat gold o.o
I'm also getting Luna Lovegood's wand and Hermione's wand.

I think we should stop spamming this thread :P

Sorceress555 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 23:08:34)

Well, it's complicated. When I combine images together, I drag them off the web into MS Paint, then select each one making sure not to grab extra white space or cut off part of the picture; then I just push them together until there's no white space in between them, again making sure I'm not cutting off part of either picture. On Fotoflex, I think there's something that will let you edit multiple images at once and pull them together as well.

If you want to put an image on top of another, there is, again, some functions on Fotoflex which I believe will at least help in doing the job. On MS Paint, for a nice rectangular or square render, you just select it the normal way and place it on top of the background. Irregular renders are harder; with me, you'd select the render using the special select button (the button with the dotted-line star on it) which will let you select things in special shapes rather than just rectangles. Then you'd pull the render onto its background and you're done. However, that tends not to work too well as it's hard to select the render without also grabbing white space or cutting off the render's edge.

By the way, what's derp?

Anastira -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 23:17:07)

b: Really sorry for the misunderstanding. Sent you a PM, I hope you accept my apology; I didn't send one earlier because our dad was rushing us out the door, so I only had, like, thirty seconds. Oh, also, what is derp? As Sorce indicated, she and I have no idea what that means.

bsteiny16 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/9/2011 23:19:42)

Lol!

Are you guys serious?

Derp is.....is.....well...... Kinda like this: :P

Derp is pretty much some being sticking tounge out with his/her/its's eyes going in different directions looking all weird. Oh, and apology accepted, Ana.

Carly9467 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/10/2011 0:10:19)

Actually Derp = fail..>.>

bsteiny16 -> RE: Sorceress's signature workshop (8/10/2011 0:14:22)

A conversation that me an my cousin were having a while ago on gmail. I took these from the conversation, in hopes that it would bring up some spirit.

quote:

Cousin:

How was camp?

So are you excited or annoyed that school is starting again?

Me:

Camp was awesome.

And school.....well.....Hey look! A distraction!

*Runs away as fast as he can*

Cousin:

Well played :-)
