Chapter 12 is up!

Things took a slight turn and I had to introduce these characters sooner than expected.

Mortarion -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/24/2011 4:04:35)

Why? I hope it's not because you are having troubles in real life

Glais -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/24/2011 4:32:23)

Strange, I'd seen this chapter long ago yet only read it now >_>

Anyhow, I like this chapter because it got back to...the core...or something. Things were getting a bit weird for a bit, difficult to take in.
Sir Vice...is awesome...

Mortarion -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/24/2011 4:45:28)

I readed the whole chapter on IPod

That's totally unrelated...

It's just that I'm trying speed the pace a bit.

Sir Vice...is awesome...

Oh really?

Anyway, that little side trip with Lawrence ate (literally) 3 whole chapters. Glad I didn't get lured in making her the main character.

Glais -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/24/2011 5:42:52)

Yes, yes he is. Or he will be, just you watch.

Wait, how exactly can I make predictions when you're the author...? >_>
Err yeah, well I SENSE he will be awesome, I've liked him since the first chapter anyways. I also like these new knights too, I'm wondering how the Sir Rated and Sir Berus situation will go.

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/24/2011 6:09:47)

You'll see soon enough. Honestly, I can't talk too much about the knights as they're too tied with the plot.

Helixi -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/24/2011 12:27:57)

When will you be wanting this critique? Soon, or are you happy to wait a while?

Should be 'her fault in the first place'. Noticed it as I was reading through.

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/24/2011 18:32:25)

@Helixi: Do take your time.

Helixi -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/24/2011 18:35:40)

Kaho: Thanks very much.

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/26/2011 9:33:52)

Chapter 13 is up!

I just felt like writing today, so here it is. Jeanne and her Band of Merry Men is about to go official soon!

Varen6398 -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/26/2011 10:08:25)

Interesting...Sanctus Oculus?

Sanctus sounds like it is derived from the word 'Sanctum' which is a holy place, and Oculus means 'eye' I think (it did have an eye like orb in it, didn't it?). So 'Holy Eye'? Or am I putting together random dots?

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/26/2011 13:17:20)

spoiler:

Is their leader a lich of some sorts?

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/26/2011 17:24:37)

@Varen: Yeah. It's pretty literal in a naming sense. Google translate is all sorts of fun.

@DD:
spoiler:

Not really. But he does harbor similar goals to one.

Glais -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/26/2011 18:56:44)

Well that was interesting, I'm really liking these Knight guys. They're fairly interesting personality-wise.
Though, I can understand why they'd hate being under Jeanne's control, why would the Im-there I go again, Inquisition, even put her in command after her last complete failure?

I suspect something is unright....

spoiler:

I suspect the Grand Inquisitor's going for a coup of some sort. He DID take control of the entire Inquisition....

On another note, I find it interesting, if I keep going my way and substitute the Pactogonal Knight names with the slightly different ones here (Sir Rated/Rator, Sir Cus/Kuss, etc.) that makes the Knights of the Pactagon Inquisition members...

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/26/2011 20:30:48)

@Glaisaurus

spoiler:

Not really. The Grand Inquisitor just has different plans for Jeanne. I mean why else must they risk manpower on an incompetent Captain?

And so the "Everybody, save Olaus, Gets To Bully Jeanne Until She Breaks Down And Cries" game continues!

Edit: Fixed some typos and grammar errors on Chapter 13.

Glais -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/26/2011 20:33:52)

spoiler:

Well, then while I was off on the coup, it is pretty obvious he's got some weird plans. I suspect, actually I'm sure given Noir and Lawrence's knowledge, that he knows of Jeanne's "true form" so to speak. Though as to what that has to do with putting a less than fantastic commander in charge I have no idea

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/26/2011 20:58:09)

spoiler:

He is indeed aware. The whole 'Jeanne is a bad leader' is part of his grand experiment. An experiment dating back to the 1st Grand Inquisitor, Gregory Innocentius.

Glais -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/26/2011 21:02:11)

spoiler:

Weird. I also now realize, what with Innocentius now being a Dragon, that'd explain the Inquisition's tolerance for Dragons, or something.
Grand experiment? Do they want to utilize her for a weapon or like, fuse with her or something and gain whatever abilities she has?
Or better yet, Aliens.

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/26/2011 21:10:05)

That's a secret for now.

And about Innocentius

spoiler:

The 1st Grand Inquisitor was a dragon rider. When he died, he had his soul bound into his dragon by the next Grand Inquisitor, Alaya Vistaraja, a lady soul weaver and thus making them the same entity. Though I'm surprised you got that one right.

Glais -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/26/2011 21:20:13)

spoiler:

He fused with his Dragon? Depending on the Dragon, that's a bit...mean, though if his bond with the dragon was good enough it'd make sense, but given the Inquisition's disregard for the wants of others....

And well, given the names, it was pretty obvious o_O

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/26/2011 21:30:33)

spoiler:

Worry not. Gregory was on very good terms with his Dragon, that it humbly complied to have its 'master' live inside it. Also, it was only during Markus Honorius' rule that the Inquisition got all crazy and extremist in nature. During Innocentius' rule, the Inquisitors were just a really devoted form of secret service for the King. Jeanne's laments in chapter 5 echoes the time when Honorius was newly appointed as the GI. At the moment, you could say the Inquisition is undergoing decay.

Mortarion -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/26/2011 21:34:12)

Hey me got question, the Sanctus Oculus, cool name by the way, are htey human, could you ever drawn one?

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (11/26/2011 21:36:33)

As seen in the description in Chapter 13, they are definitely NOT human. They are gaseous creatures that blend in with light.
