The roleplay for our boards is very different. We use a much lighter roleplay then they do, and speaking from experience, it's better to keep us separate due to conflicts in attitude. And they are separate because, while we still roleplay to an extent, A&R games are still that. Games. They are run by a GM in a similar way to a tabletop game like D&D

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/9/2013 15:06:15)

What type of games does everyone like most? I'm mainly into A&Rs, and from there the only things I don't play often are Stats & Survival games. Its mainly just fun for me to create new characters and refine existing ones. Anyways, when I go make the new site for the UCaG archives later I'm going to make it more of an off-site extension. There shall be a link here later.

Nartbor -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/9/2013 15:09:27)

UCaG archives? where was I? Ok everyone expect battlefield OOC by the end of the day

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/9/2013 16:37:51)

Okay, so the link is here instead. So far the new site is barebones, but its off to a much better start than the old one. Still need to fine-tune the colors and put up everything else I saved. Included a chatbox so we can have real-time responds to each other, and I have some other ideas for the place.

By the way, it would be great if you guys could put up anything you have saved that's not already covered. I'm going to organize the games by who the creators were, even if its little more than the intro post and characters.

1girlhousefan -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/9/2013 17:25:47)

The games I like most are the ones I can logically stick my two standard characters into.

Lord Darkblade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/9/2013 17:39:00)

The games I like are really open ended creation ones, where you can make insanely OP characters, yet still be acceptable.

epic pie -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/9/2013 18:21:08)

Anyone up for a Prototype themed game?

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/9/2013 18:28:30)

Depends, what do you have in mind for it? Sounds interesting either way, and is this directly themed off of Prototype or just somewhat inspired?

Heroic Necro -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/9/2013 23:30:58)

If it's the Alex Mercer prototype then I suggest it just be inspired. The powers would feel pretty same-y in text format I imagine

epic pie -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/10/2013 13:09:34)

Just inspired.

Nartbor -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/13/2013 22:10:33)

yeah, battlefield OOC is out... sign up or whatever

1girlhousefan -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/15/2013 17:44:54)

I made a game on the whim of the wind. (not literally.)

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/21/2013 23:57:04)

I just realized something. Since the majority of the UCaG community play PAMs and Mafia, wouldn't we want to put an extensive guide on GMing in the main area? Its more likely to be noticed there and more likely to draw interest in A&Rs/FSGs. It would have to be Stickied, which would make it easier to keep track of.

Anyways, how many people currently in the community ran A&Rs and/or FSGs before? It would be good to know who is still active and if they'll run an A&R or FSG again.

steel blade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/22/2013 0:06:36)

Just so you guys know, I'm still alive. I'm just gathering data for a new game, albeit slowly.
I'll get Strings back on...once I feel like it. Is anyone still interested?

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/22/2013 0:17:12)

Who wouldn't be interested in a game where you can make anything happen? You got Kosefira to join it both times, so you certainly have a success there.

steel blade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (4/7/2013 14:58:55)

I need a new project. I'm up for any collaboration.

Arthur -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (4/7/2013 15:06:06)

steel, you into Fate/Stay Night?

Frost Moglin -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (4/7/2013 15:34:11)

Steampunk with flying ships and mechas.

Nartbor -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (4/7/2013 16:15:49)

I think mechas should only be used in sci-fi or cyberpunk, I hate them steampunked

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (4/7/2013 19:46:12)

If I made a Skullgirls themed A&R would you guys make your characters unique? Or would you guys be more interested in a Disgaea game?

Nartbor -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (4/20/2013 23:23:55)

How would everyone like a Bladerunner-esque cyberpunk dystopia game in the not so near future

steel blade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (4/21/2013 1:14:23)

You had me at cyberpunk, or was it dystopia?

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (4/21/2013 2:18:40)

I don't know Bladerunner well, though will there be something akin to Replicants?

Nartbor -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (4/21/2013 12:17:10)

Probs not the actual replicants but the whole cyberpunk feel will be attempted. If it fails I give 100% blessing for someone else to continue. But It won't even be started for like a month

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (4/21/2013 12:44:10)

Here's this, though besides "Bladerunner-esque cyberpunk dystopia" is there anything else important that would describe the setting or what to expect?
