PM him about it. That would be an awesome idea.

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/12/2013 2:12:33)

I probably should, but then I have to constantly keep it updated and full of the artifacts, and I'm just too lazy.[:D]

In other news, I triple dare someone to make a MLP:FIM game. MuahahahahhahHAHAHHAHAHAH![sm=zorb_smilie.gif]

Superemo -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/12/2013 2:29:46)

^CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! I'll begin work within the week. Expect a game thread by the end of the month.

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/12/2013 2:35:18)

...

WHAT HAVE I DONE?[:-]

But seriously, looking forwards to it. What's the plan? Post After Me? Application? Pure Chaos due to Discord or something?

No seriously, I am interested in playing zombiepunk. Not gming. Someone make this.

Y'know what. I feel like fulfilling your wish. It'll be my first game so do not expect wonders but given I was the one that came up with the idea, why not...
I'll start working on it next week.

Nartbor -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/12/2013 9:37:03)

Hey my first game was mymost successful. I have been chasing that high ever since

Rafiq von den Vielen -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/12/2013 12:21:02)

I gave it a bit of thinking already and I'm sure there will be influences by other things I've watched/read/heard. (I will give out bonus cookies if anyone happens to know some. :P)

Prepare for a lot of creepy strangeness.

King Helios -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/12/2013 12:41:15)

Would anyone be interested in a game based off of Harry Potter? Seeing as the series isn't exactly new, and I'm relatively new (this may have been done), it may not be great, but I'll try if there's interest.

Rafiq von den Vielen -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/12/2013 13:10:15)

If I'm not too busy with WoT and my own game, I'll probably jump in.

Frost Moglin -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/12/2013 16:09:18)

Wait, what's a MLP:FIM-game?

liamliam1234liam -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/12/2013 16:23:58)

This.

Frost Moglin -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/12/2013 17:50:36)

Ok.

Lord Darkblade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/12/2013 21:21:19)

I know that many of the Veterans are out there lurking, so I'm saying this for everyone: We need more really good games. And maybe more activity. As it's summer, most schools would be out by now, so where is every one? Why is many people not doing anything? During school no one has time because of homework and stuff and during summer they don't have time because of vacations, so why is it that those that aren't on vacation and more A&R players not posting that much?

liamliam1234liam -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/12/2013 22:18:28)

My desire to run games is rather low considering my past three have all been cancelled increasingly prematurely.

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/12/2013 22:45:54)

I just don't think anyone would join my purely original concept games anymore. Inner Being and Lost of Life really are two of my favorites to use, but they can and will veer off into potentially family unfriendly material. All my other concepts failed because of my slothfulness or an outright lack of interest from the community (at most two games I think). Plus, I've lost much of the interest I originally had. I'm really bad at making good pitches which negatively effects my games, and I prefer to work on this RP I'm in over at TVtropes.

Though I was considering making that zombie game, and I'm all for a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic game. Though there has to be some sort of focus, but then again R.A.L.F was pretty much called "Random events!" and was approved anyways... So, does anyone know where Corruption_Vash is? Infection was one of my favorite games here and I would like to play it again, though nobody here would approve of me trying to GM but I don't know of anyone else with enough interest to consider GMing it.

that except all of them -1 (or two. both were successful in player count, but one of them (SHADOW CRUCIBLE *cough*) was never updated by me

Heroic Necro -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/13/2013 0:19:04)

The forum has such low activity because there's no flow of players. A forum thrives when there is a steady influx of people, and simply cannot be sustained with only the same few members mucking about. This is especially true for a forum with a target audience as low as this one. Most of us came here when we were thirteen or so, and had no obligations aside from an hour of math homework. Now I have a job four days a week and college the other three. I'm sure that this isn't too far off for the rest of you. Combined with the above, this produces a forum that is pretty much stagnant.

liamliam1234liam -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/13/2013 0:29:35)

Necro pretty much summed it up the entire situation. I would like to add many people simply grow out of forums. You become an adult, you get adult responsibilities; not a lot of motivation to play a couple text games anymore.

Honestly, the only reason I even stick around is force of habit. Years and years of habit. That is why I still follow Dragonfable (sadly quite passively at this point), and even then I can see my account falling into general disuse in the next few months. As for the forums, I only visit because I need something to fill my time void. The moment that void becomes filled is the moment I will leave. I am more addicted to the internet than most, and even I can see myself growing out of it in a couple of years; imagine what it would be like for those who are not as attached as I am.

As another note, it hardly helps matters that the AE forums in general are dying; at the very least, they have stagnated. This subforum has stagnated, too, but the older members are leaving. In that way, the UCaG is tragically in decay, and I do not foresee the decay ever reversing.

If you want an additional possible reason, not many take games seriously anymore. The UCaG used to be much, much, much more comparable to the RP forums. Not now, though. Not for the most part.

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/13/2013 2:08:05)

Yeah... About four years ago there was a constant stream of new A&R or FSG games, and currently we only have six A&R games. We could even end up entering a second page for the main area back then. I tried introducing A&Rs to TVtropes and some ex-Forumites, but it really didn't work out. To be honest, why are any of us A&Rers still here instead of starting up our own forum or groups? It doesn't make too much sense to wait an uncertain amount of time for someone to approve our games while never extremely surpassing PG-13 regarding them. Plus, many of us have other things to do so games are likely to be inactive for fourteen days. When a game gets locked, most of us just go "Oh well" and just completely give up on it. If we do decide to start it back up shortly, it has to be approved all over again. Besides, us A&Rers are the minority here after all. If all of us vanished and no new A&R/FSGs were produced the PAMers would still flourish.

The entire reason I even come to the forums is the UCaG, and there's nothing really here for it to be worth my while. I've already near-given up on here, and I'll just stop bothering outright if there was nothing for me here or if I got banned.

Somewhat unrelated, what are some old A&Rs everyone would want the most to start again?

Lord Darkblade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/13/2013 8:19:01)

Same with me, I came here for the games, as I love playing games, as I spend most of my time playing games or reading, and before I truly joined the forums I read the games that were being posted like the Oops game and your games Kkut. Also, that's why I like your Idea kkut, for an Academy to help the PAMers learn how to join A&Rs/FSGs.

Well, R.A.L.F., Fallen Kingdom, LvD, Genesis.

A question for the entirety of games doesn't belong in this forum, but it affects it: Why is it that when people get older they stop playing games? Even if they have the time they say it's for children, not adults. Yet out there, there are people making a living by having jobs related to games and such, so how is it that games are considered for kids?

Nartbor -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/13/2013 22:06:13)

by the way, would anyone be interested in restarting clock city. (I am no longer ever ever ever making Battlefield games)

Arthur -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/14/2013 2:04:36)

Would anyone be interested in an Attack on Titan game?

Just throwing it out there.

In any case, if I find time, I might come back with a DHN Reboot but considering how UCaG is going, I am very shaky.

Rafiq von den Vielen -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/15/2013 2:54:13)

Update: Work on Project Netherlife has started. Expect a gamethread by the end of the week.

Chesset -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/15/2013 8:33:22)

I would like you to re-open clock city!

Nartbor -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/15/2013 11:38:42)

yeah, but you already know what happens, i told you at school.
