I'll delete the Mage Tournaments for now. I have a complete writer's block and can't think af anything to write at it. I will, however, copy it somewhere and start working at it there when I get some ideas. Well, looks like I completly forgot to copy it! I'll rewrite it later.

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/6/2013 7:47:19)

I have a new idea for a game, but I'm not sure how to carry it out. Basically, eight (maybe more or less) players make up a fake company, fake console, fake game ideas, and fake features for it (Within reason, but not utterly outside the realm of silliness[;)] ), and them somehow people decide a winner. The makers could also announce new stuff or go back on unpopular policies to win back voters. [:D]

But it would take a better game maker then me to make that work.

Hrrrm... maybe 3 UCaG players can make those three according to rules of the game, and then anyone can post their opinions and who to vote for, with the three people adding or taking stuff to win votes?

Frost Moglin -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/6/2013 9:25:32)

I got an idea for a game. Imagine Cluedo. You and your group examine murder scenes, examine things, ask questions from suspects and find out who did it before he murders someone else. It would use some sort of a "tick" time system. Actions take some ticks, and after you have used all the ticks the day is over and night comes. At night, there is a 25% chance that some suspect will be murdered. No, you can't just wait until everyone except the murderer is dead. Every time someone dies, the suspects will be scared and tell lies with a high chance.

...I'll give you my thoughts on your game idea if you give me yours on mine.[:D]

But yeah, it seems good. Reminds me of the old Pokemon Murder Mystery games from here.

bokterier -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/6/2013 9:37:01)

@Megakyle: Could you decide the winners with votes, or something else? (I'll pay you one hundred million $ if I win...)

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/6/2013 9:45:06)

I don't know. I honestly have not decided how such a game would work, or even if I'm good enough to make it. The premise is simple: A few guys (don't know how many, probably around 3-4) make all the stuff for their company, console, games, policies, features ETC , then the other people here vote on them. People can add or take away stuff based on consumer opinion, until when the thread is ready to be locked the final tally is counted and the winner announced.

However, I'm not sure how to make it work or run or if I am talented enough to do so.

As for game pitches, they can be serious or silly, but they have to be a contender in some way. So for example, you can have your company be like DOOMEDSOUL INC and have the price be a 1 hour timeshare on consumer's soul or something, but they need to want to buy it for some reason, like it can play every game ever or something.

Frost Moglin -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/6/2013 9:51:07)

Megakyle: You game sure sounds fun. But pretty hard to make, too.

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/6/2013 9:55:03)

I legitimately don't think myself skilled enough to make it, but I don't think anyone else would want to.

...Unless I hear any volunteers to make this fun yet complex game idea a reality?[sm=zorb_smilie.gif]

If someone does I'd be more then happy to make a console for it though. If I can follow the rules and it's not too complex.

bokterier -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/6/2013 12:09:52)

First, we need some kind of goal. Something that keeps the player interested.

Then we need a simple, yet fun experience!
Think like this: How, when, why and what?

Do we have players cooperating? Do they need some kind of financial support? Why do they make the game? What kind of game would it be? Is it some kind of team leader? What kind of audience are you trying to make this game for?
Questions you have to ask yourself.

Game Idea: You start in the woods, no introduction. There is animals lurking in the bushes, all of them is predators. Your goal is to escape alive.

^Is it things like this in the game, or?

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/6/2013 12:40:55)

Above: I'm not sure. I just came up with the basic idea and I'm not sure how to execute it.

Frost Moglin -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/6/2013 12:46:19)

About that game I have an idea of, would you like to wander around alone most of the time, investigate stuff and ask things from people, or walk around as a team and vote on what to do? I'd choose the "wander around", but I also want to hear what you think.

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/6/2013 14:52:30)

...You forgot a important couple of things.[>:]

But yeah. I kinda want to make my idea, but then not only do I think I would fail at it, I would hit my three game limit.

Frost Moglin -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/6/2013 15:10:54)

It is still under construction. I'll make an OOC thread to tell me what I forgot.

bokterier -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/8/2013 12:37:55)

I am thinking on a game where you ask an "What if question", and someone answers then ask another "what if question".
Anyone thinking it would be a good game?

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/8/2013 12:39:39)

It could work.

Frost Moglin -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/26/2013 7:00:31)

Bokterier: That was doneat the AQW forums once, but it got removed because it was a forum game. I might have tried to do it once.

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/26/2013 7:17:26)

...I still kinda want to work on my games console game idea. If anyone has a good idea on how to make it work let me know. Although I'm not sure if I've hit the three game limit or not.

Frost Moglin -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/27/2013 9:37:10)

I'm bored, so I'll start remaking the Mage Tournaments, but as Mage Adventures(any better name ideas?)! It uses the same classes as before, but a few more, lets you desing the spells you want yourself(Because I am too lazy to write a million spells) and be based on a group of adventuring mages send by the king to collect treasures stolen by some monsters and taken to Wastelands, a huge continental taken over by monsters.

1girlhousefan -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/27/2013 18:17:33)

Aww... FM, I was planning to do something like that... except with a ridiculous amount of both classes and spells, all magic-based. With a different quest.

Frost Moglin -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/28/2013 4:04:46)

Okay. Well, what if you made it be that... In spaaaaaace!
(Mages in Space FTW?)

deathlord45 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/28/2013 11:29:10)

Your not the only one to remake a game FM.

liamliam1234liam -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/29/2013 13:43:50)

People should make a more conscious effort to vote for Game of the Month.

Nartbor -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/29/2013 15:18:29)

The only thing I played all month was World of Titans, which really kinda bombed

Arthur -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/30/2013 7:50:22)

I would like to congratulate Reaper Sigma for finishing his game. How often does that happen here? No, I mean seriously. How often?

Furthermore, inspired by this very event, I would like to make a try at ending one of my own. So, my fronts as of now are:

1. Regaliours(The Original Title)
2. Daemon Hunters Nine(The Original Title)

I'll be working on just one. I have the stories for both already scaped out so it shouldn't be a problem. So, for my older players and any newer ones, which would you prefer to see completed?

Personally, I would like to go with Regaliours since it has a more medieval setting and more ground for a lot of different genres. BUT, DHN met with a lot of praise so I am torn.

Over to you then.

bokterier -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (10/6/2013 15:19:52)

Okay... So Megakyle said something about "Avatar The Last Airbender The Game" as an UCaG, and I think it could be really good if we made it right. Anyone having some information on how I can create it? Would be nice if it was something simple, cause I'm feelin' a little bit lazy...
