Cinderella -> RE: Only yeti T_T? (11/25/2011 15:34:11)

@Cinderella: This is one of the many problems. Pointless updates such as this which just introduce one new weapon and a new NPC. The players don't care if you have had to rewrite the whole engine for bots because we didn't even specifically ask for a Yeti Bot with a unique animation. Just to make things worse, its price is ridiculous for a seasonal rare. You guys don't have the power to change the amount of varium given in the varium packages, but you can certainly reduce the in-game prices. They are absolutely ridiculous now, and I feel sorry for those who have been lured to keep buying varium. I am glad that I have ceased to throw away money on this game because everything is such a rip-off. ONE fully enhanced weapon should not equate to about $20. Just to validate my point about recent updates being pointless, I would like to let you know that the Portugese translation was a complete waste of time. I haven't even seen many players who speak the language, and this feature just simply means that people from other countries will keep demanding you to implement their language, and if one country's language is not included in Epicduel, they will feel left out. You have already dug yourselves into a hole here, and I can assure you that things such as balance changes, new features and useful interface changes would be something players desire. You may not have specifically asked for this, but people have been asking for new bots for a while. And I think we came up with something very unique. I don't set in-game prices either, but occasionally we put a high varium price on something specifically to prevent too many people from using and abusing it, as was the case with enhancements. Portuguese support is something corporate wanted. You do realize that we're part of a parent company, right? quote:
I hope you realise that varium players pay for the game, and they are not pleased with the horrific bulky armours which have been released recently. I can understand if it's for the people who like to class change frequently, but you don't need to release these each time there's a new armour. Some of us would like some items which aren't seasonal rares and some weapons/armours which look amazing. After all, we do pay for varium, and I think we deserve some appealing items. Pricing on every weapon is ridiculous and having to enhance EVERY weapon in your inventory is not feasible for casual players, but those extra stats can be the difference between victory and defeat. I am glad that you guys kind of got rid of those limited-rares, but we are still stuck with random, pointless restocks along with items. I already addressed the issue of the lack of permanent rares to Ashari, Cinderella and Rainaka, and unsurprisingly, nothing has been done about it. We have so many seasonal rares in this game, and almost never any non-promotional items which are rare. There should be at least one non-promo rare every 3 or 4 months. A rare armour would be nice since we haven't had one since the release of the Founder Armour. In short, we need better items which are cheaper and I believe that more rares would be nice. I realize that they're not to everyone's tastes, but Nightwraith and I were talking about some Krampus-themed armors for the release (I can't guarantee anything because it's a big event with cutscenes and 30 quests written, and new characters and worlds, but I'm sure you don't care about that). I know you keep bringing up the lack of permanent rares. Unfortunately, you're telling people whose only solution for you is "hey, T.600 wants more permanent rares". quote:
They use the excuses of having a small team, or saying that all the testers are volunteers, but it's really not good enough. As frogbones stated in the post he made, if it's a small team, then they should expect a small amount of money from us. As for the 'handpicked' testers, they VOLUNTEERED-it was their choice, so they should not be complaining. You can't use the excuse of not having enough testers because a lot of people would happily be testers, and frankly, they could do a better job than the current ones. The balance team have completely ruined the game with their current ideas, and along with the new classes, battling is boring and repetitive. On top of that, everyone is restricted to using similar builds and therefore battles are decided by luck and not skill. The game has frequently delayed and pointless updates, ridiculous pricing, is not balanced at all and yet they expect people to play happily and not give the devs a hard time. Sorry if this seems harsh, but someone needed to say the truth. I could continue ranting on about how much worse the game has become since I started playing but I wont. There's a vicious cycle between profits and support from corporate. That's all I'll say on that matter. As for the balancing, I don't have a good answer for you. Ask Ashari or Titan. @Remorse- see above. I don't know why it's been delayed, it's still on Titan's "to-do" list that I have access to, and I actually put it in the DNs when I did to try and speed up the process.
