I'd also like to point out that while the focus of this discussion is about faction founders missing out and you are contemplating giving faction leaders an achievement... What about the loyal officers and other players that forgo this temptation. For example I have 87k rating so the temptation to get the blue star is there, but to throw away 16k wins and 10k token donations (does the faction still suffer a penalty) is not an option... Just make both like any achievement or mission, once you have it you can't get it again... simple!

^ Another top idea. Only allow a player to get one alignment achievement. That would sort out all the faction hopping or people leaving factions to create their own faction to get a founder achievement.

@Shadronica: I wasn't talking about achievements, I was talking about missions in general. Also I have no interest in the exile achievement, both the legion and exile ones have the same description, and they look almost the same as well, so missing the exile one does not bother me. Honestly I think having two achievements with the same description would bug me more than missing one of them, but that's just me.

Well you really don't have a choice do you Wiseman? Same for most of us founders who have had factions dating back 2 years now. No sorry, but this whole thing needs some good tweaking. As it stands now the admin are encouraging (worse .. rewarding) players to leave their factions.

Look Shad, they're working on it but they are limited on what they can do with the engine. Titan can't tell it do something it isn't capable of doing. He can probably find a way to get the same end results but it will take time to do so. Cindy has mentioned this already. It's only an achievement for 1k points anyways. If you see someone with both achievements in their list then don't recruit them and make sure your officers know the same thing. Those two achievements have easily branded players who faction hop for their own personal benefit instead of being loyal players. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. It's somewhat easier finding loyal players now knowing what to look for on their pages.

@ cindy : you have no right to take those chevos away from us even if we got both . thats not our mistake :O we did the mission requirement and got awarded with the chevo then did the other one its not our mistake ,,, take em away and i assure you that many people will quit this game , it took me about 7 hours to get done with those 2 missions not for you to come and take away my award in a second -.-"

Think about it. You were conferred a medal for fighting valiantly for the exiles. All of a sudden, you hop to legion, and become their greatest fighter. I guarantee you, 100 out of 100 times you will be stripped of your achievement for the exiles. Hence, devs, think about what I said, it definitely makes sense. Anyone who has legion bane and krampus slayer should.be stripped of either one.

Can we agree yet that it's not fair to simply just take out the achievements others have already worked for or punish those that have them both? Simply make them available for everyone and make sure the error doesn't happen again in the future. ED messed up this round, mistakes happen, the players shouldn't pay for these mistakes, especially when this matter can just be fixed with the requirement removal at worst case if they can't get around this "Game Engine" issue and utilize one of the many suggestions brought to them. Also would like to point out that the 2v1 bosses may also end up being an issue as well. Once again, everyone but Founders and loyal members will get to enjoy both fights as well as the rewards that come with it.

^Still not too late to change things. Make both NPCs drop the same Frysteland War badge (if theres any) and the same equipment (if theres any)

It's unfortunate that anyone would want both achievements as having both would cheapen the meaning of alignment. Showing one's allegiance through alignment specific achievements is a great idea and promises to make the game much more interesting in the future. To Cindy: All the war missions are interesting and well written. Please know that many of us are thankful that you are part of the ED team. You do an excellent job and you put up with more than most people have to bear. Please know that everything you contribute is very much appreciated by the majority of players. Ok first off i got a laugh about some of these posts whoever made the Variums getting punished while F2P get rewarded comment made my day because it has almost always been the other way around and now you complain. Now to be serious as a Faction Founder I do agree while i care little about Cheevo's(all my tokens end up in the arcade so i could have picked up Frost Warrior or any other rare Cheevo of late) it is weird seeing people switching sides for a simple 1K cheevo. Also i see this as more reason for an Exile to switch to Legion as before they were just crushing now they are crushing and if you turn traitor you can get a shiny Cheevo and more war points.

@ Cindy! Woohoo music to my ears! Now...how about what I posted earlier and just got quoted by playarn? Just have the acheivements replace each other if the player switches sides? That way if someone already got the exile cheevo and really doesn't like fighting under that banner. They can switch to a legion faction and then re-do the mission to earn the Krampus Slayer cheevo? That would be neat that way no one can double up on the cheevo and it still shows which side you fight for! I guess a simple solution would be to delete everyone's krampus slayer/legion slayer cheevo and than we can re-do the mission to get new cheevo that is changeable!

This Is Madness. See, The Problem Is... Once The Staff Presented The Option And Opportunity For Players To Recieve Both Achievements, It's The Staff's Fault, Not The Players. I Don't Like, Nor Condone Switching Sides To Get Both Achievements... BUT... Why Should All Those Players Be "Punished"? The Game Gave Them That Chance To Do Both. That's All. That's The Issue Here. Not About Players Who Play For Both Sides. The Staff Kind Of Screwed The Players They Should Be Focusing On The Most... The Big Time Faction Leaders And Their Top Officers. And Unintentionally, Created More Of A Reason For Players To Currently Faction Jump... Not Less. The Fact That They Are Discussing Ways To "Punish" Players Who Simply Took Advantage Of What The Staff Presensented... INSTEAD OF... REWARDING High Level Faction Founders And Long Time Officers Is Beyond Clueless In My Opinion. All Faction Level Founders With Champion Or Higher Factions Should Get A Very Nice Achievement For All They Do And Put Up With In This Game. Including The Fact That "We" Get Screwed The Most By This Current War Situation When We Should Be Getting Top Honors. To Eliminate Any Future "Problems" Regarding Faction Founder Achievements... They Should Be Earned... Not Some Level 5 Faction Founder Who Is Inactive Receiving It. They Can Easily, Manually Add An Achievement To Each And Every Faction Founder Of Faction Level 11 & 12 (Champions/Grand Champions), Becuase There Are Really Not That Many. So Players Don't Leave Their Current Faction, To Quickly Form A New One Simply To Get The Achievement. The "Faction Founder" Achievement Should Be Earned By Only The Highest Level Factions. This Would Finally Reward Faction Founders Who Help Run The Battle Sysytem Daily And Give More Value To All Those Hard Fought Faction Medals And Flag Captures. Think Of Rewarding Those Who Deserve It. Not Punish Those Who Simply Did What They Could Based On What Was Presented To Them In Game. I Don't Like Players Having Both Achievements, But That's Not Really Their Fault. It's The Staff's For Giving Them the Opportunity To Get It. I personally like Shad's idea to reward all players who stayed loyal with an achievement worth 1,200-1,500 rating points. that was all those who switched would actually be receiving LESS than those who didn't.

@sylar: 7 hours? ROFL! I did it it under one hour. IMHO, Buffy & Shad have valid, excellent points! Treason/bertraying a faction is not good. And the game is making a feature to make people do that.

@Sun, I took Cinderellas response as being able to do the 2v1 fights after the event. She did not say all the missions. Also it needs to be done before the end of the event because I have a feeling they may say it will be done after, then those of us who believed it, get screwed in the end when it does not happen. In case some of you have not noticed, some players enjoy collecting achievements and for some, they would go to great lengths to get that extra 1k even if it means disbanding their factions. Take a look at the current war for instance. It takes 250k war points after War Major to obtain each of the following 3 achievements. The first two only give 500 rating while General gives 1k. Not sure how many of you are participating in the war, probably not many since all I see is whining about how impossible it is even though Jari proved yesterday it was possible even for non-varium. Only problem was, he didn't fire all his bombs for some reason. It takes a lot of hard work to get 250k war points, a lot more than getting a measily 100 npc kills that takes about 20 minutes on the level 10 npc if even that and 250k is only worth 500 rating....Lol what bull. I'm also 73 rating from the blue star and only way to get it is to fire 100 bucks worth of bombs for 500 rating or disband my faction for 1k rating lol. Hopefully this gets fixed, The scaling for the war achievement should have been much higher in my opinion, it takes some serious dedication and support of the game to level that sucker.
