Stabilis -> Which skills do you like? (1/24/2012 13:10:22)

Ay ya. Its time for me to make a survey again- which 5 skills are your top favourite, and why? I'm going to have an ethical discussion with whoever aggresses another forum user. Here are mine: 5= Surgical Strike> There has never been a time when using surgical strike on my alternate accounts when SS did not either prevent a lethal rage from occurring or KO'ing a weakened enemy. As a back up, surgical strike has never failed me, but because of the energy cost I do not use it as often as I would like. 4= Assimilation> Being a Canadian, mentioning "assimilation" in a positive format is shamefully awkward to me as I can relate it back to residential schools... But in EpicDuel, assimilation is very helpful. In a single tap, assimilation will deal damage, damage energy, and recharge energy. The numbers are smaller now but are still balanced. As a t-mage, assimilation actually stopped mercenaries and b-hunters from attacking with skills. I was spared from a massacre demise more than once and gained the energy to heal in some situations. Assimilation is a very brilliant skill and a beauty of an idea. 3= Defense Matrix> As a t-mage and as a c-hunter, defense matrix has stopped brutal onslaughts from occurring, like Double Trouble's tlm smokey strength build (very high damage output). In many cases without DM, I could have lost from not being able to withstand aggressive play-types. DM is a skill I have been using since late Beta and as it improves with support, it is very reliable against all players in which there is no such thing as a support buff (as a skill). Generally speaking, I very much appreciate DM for countering the constant... "rash" play-types that I see players use for fast battles and when not wanting to be cautious. 2= Static charge> When I first became a cyber hunter (last fall), I had to learn to rely on static charge. It does, like all skills, have issues, such as either needing higher levels of strength or skill level, failing upon block, needing higher levels of dexterity... But aside from those impetuous little issues, I truly appreciate SC. As it is an active skill, SC demands mutuality between you and it, you power up SC and SC will power you up. It almost becomes a part of your identity in which SC allows all other skills to occur. Almost like a god skill. 1= Technician> Technician for my t-mage, for my t-merc (no longer), for my c-hunter (no longer), now b-mages may use it??? I guess I'm not the only one who really has fun with the skill. As a t-mage, I used T to create a unique robot build around gamma time when few others trusted the skill. As a t-merc, the same idea. And as c-hunter, ruining malfunction users! What more fun way to go then having MORE tech points than you started? 33 malf vs my 45 technician, a really great way to troll!
