So as I have been doing some google searches using primarily, "epicduel.artrix.com/charpage" along with the name of any cheevo, and up come the names of whoever has them in their character page. Now I did a search for two Cheevos, War General and Home Decorator.

Now after browsing the lists I see names that have these cheevo's that well one, didn't win the home decorating contest or even participated in the war enough to gain 1,000,000 war points.

How come this is allowed?

What are your thoughts as a players on this?


I feel that these cheevo's have lost most of their value since some people will just take them even though they did not earn like the few that have earned them.

Looking into one individual that has the House Contest cheevo didn't even get the home item that the winners were given. So clearly this person is doing it for the cheevo rarity alone.

And if its not that big of a deal, but when does this cross the line?

A competition is a competition, noone should be able to claim a prize they clearly not did win. No matter what 'status' they have.

It's not only those 2 cheevos...

Cheevos like Dailies or those that are very rare to get ( example would be that 1 in a million one )
every player that has earned said Cheevo has worked his or her butt off to get it.

I don't get why some people can just get it without putting any real work or dedication in it.
All cheevos lose their sence of value when this is done.

The House contest Cheevo should only be for those that actualy participated and actualy WIN the thing.
The War General cheevo, why should one get it for free without putting effort in it while some people spend over 1000$ to get it
or farmed as much as humanly possible ( which still ends up buying Varium bombs otherwise you'd still not get there )

Like everyone of us, they'd have to eather PAY for it or not go for it... You can't Get it and not pay for it
or win a contest for example

Unless they are mods.

Since mods are unable to compete for things such as War General and Home Decorator, I don't see why they couldn't have it.

So it's okay for mods to use their varium perks and fire off super bombs? Or perhaps vote for their own homes in the contest?

Why should they be punished? Seems people believe they aren't players like the rest of us.

I personally don't want to see their names where they don't belong from the perks they receive for being moderators but I don't feel they shouldn't be allowed to have the achievements either.

This is just one of those things where no matter what Titan and Night decide upon, the community will be upset regardless.

Because its wrong to give mods or any1 else perks that no1 has. being a mod means enforcing the rules, so if the rules say u have to earn the cheevos than that means they shoudlnt get them easily and for free. Achievements like one in a million or the rockstar loose their value if all mods have them

Using their Unlimited Varium? No They should do as everyone of us has to do... Work for it or Pay for it...

also their job has a good side and a bad side... Goodside is like you said Unlimited Varium
Bad side is they eather shouldn't get the cheevos for free or actualy Work for it

Well talking about abusing wasn't it donna matrix who abused their mod varium so Death Syndicate X" could win WD daily for a week or so. That's what happened until the Dev's had to step in and make mod limitations

Much as I would love some of the achievements (for the things I have entered) We cannot win /get selected everything. Not many understand my humour. [:D]
I would dearly love to get the One In A Million but that is pure luck.

The Mods do work for their 'perks'. Their 'perks' are their payments.
The also work very hard. I have been in game chatting to one that was swamped by other players. They were also working on the forums and doing pms. Bless them.
For the work that they do and the time that they give. IMO I think they deserve them.

Congratulations to those that have the unusual achievements. Nice job. :)

Let us not go through another 'slagging the mods' thread please. :)

^ Yeah definitely something I couldn't do. I can't even fully talk to just one person without it bothering me because I can't focus completely on ED.

I enjoy playing other games while playing or watching movies and what not but to completely sit in this listening to peeps complain and try to suck up all the time would take it's toll....it already does now so I can only imagine what they go through lol.

One thing I do find interesting is how some mods had all of the achievements then they were removed but one that I just looked up has them all.

Wonder what was going on there? Wiseman for instance had War General but not anymore.

But isn't ' Unlimited Varium ' a big enough Perk... I mean It can't get any perkier than that.

Not for some of the rubbish they have to go through on our behalf. I mean they are not allowed to use it to show up on the leader boards. BUT if they have genuinely worked for the place or achievement then nice one. :) They can get the new stuff with the varium and request chevos but they have no freedom in game (unless they hide). So IMO they earn ALL they get.

This is just my opinion though. :) I will not be trying to force it on you.

I can understand that they can get the ones like daily, the rare cheevos like friday the 13th etc...

But Cheevos where an ordinary player has to pay a lot of money for or one that resulted in winning a contest...
Those should just stay with those that Earned it.

^ Well as 1 of 3 players that have War General, I don't mind that mods get it because if it wasn't given then they would just fire off bombs anyway and still get it through their perks so it doesn't make a difference.

Things like one in a million though is up in the air. That's a decision the mods themselves must make. There is also some integrity involved with a lot of that.

It doesnt matter what they do, No1 forced them to be mods. Its really simple, rules are rules and u have to follow them. Yes they might work hard but no1 forced them to be mods they chose to do it so the least they can do is not take advantage of it

Does it affects you if someone has the same achievement as you? It doesn't gives advantages on battlefield, neithers affect your moral, identity, reputation and many other things that we care for.

yes its rating points they did not earn. If so then why make hacking against the rules, so what if ppl hack varium or wins or anything they want, it wont affect any of the things u listed above will it?

They are not "hacking", they get it for "free" not "hacked". I really don't care if someone hacks wins/ tokens/ credits and whichever things I got, at least I know that I earn it for hard work and not hacking, that is enough for me.

Not a good reference to draw against Loss but I know what you are saying.
All you can do under the circumstance is KNOW you have achieved your levels/wins/chevos by dedication and hard work. Others will also know this. :)

Sadly, it does show one glaring aspect. This has nothing to do with the volunteering one does, but this is solely on individual basis on people who believe it is part of their incentive in getting very customer exclusive items. I am saddened and disappointed for there is no sound boundaries to differentiate a customer incentive award and a volunteer perk. This does affect the game negatively. This is a trust issue.

Did you know that Buffy is the only player in the entire game to have the war chief achievement? The rarest achievement in the entire game ever. Just one player has it.

Value of cheevos is really nothing nowadays.. Even simple missions give achievement nowadays, for beating NPCs or so. Of course they might be hard but with right stats, they are pushovers and give you a cheevo.
Something along of phase cheevo is okay, but for beating simple NPCs is not good. Would say same for leaderboards, going for 1st place is seriously a pain for casual players who might give it a go. Best solution for that: Award 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place - if you get 3rd, and next time you get 1st then 1st replaces all previous ones
War cheevos were also a bit disappointing.. Bombs should've only counted toward Bombardier cheevo and overall war score, not your total points. In that case, ranks for Generals and so on would've been a LOT lower and cheevos would be perhaps harder to get - you fight yourself or lose on the cheevo. Seems fair. :3
Lastly seasonal cheevos are okay in my opinion, don't mind them but having too many of them is also a pain.
