Hiraku Tatlin -> (DF) Excerpts of a Tea-loving Priestess (2/10/2012 13:15:23)

Hi everyone. This is Hiraku Tatlin. After finding out the fate of a certain tea-loving priestess, I felt compelled to try to answer the following questions from my perspective: What kind of person was she? As the 'hero', she always seemed mysterious, but always someone with good intentions (and not just because shes a priestess of the light XD). From the time she met the hero to her..eventual fate, I wish to give my impression of how she was like through a series of entries from her journal and her eventual confrontation with Xan.

It's been awhile since I've written stories. Any constructive criticism and comments on how your experience was reading her journals will always be appreciated. Like does my perspective on the priestess' character seem to act in accordance with her actions in-game? I look forward to hear from everyone.

Here is the link to the readings. I intend to add more entries when I have the time: Link to Lady Celestia's 'journals'

This is cool. I'm kinda doing somethiong similar (if shorter entries) with Alexander's Old Journal. My only advice is that you kinda can't write what happened with Xan since it's unlikely that she would have had time to write about it.[;)]

Thanks for your reply, megakyle777. Regarding xan, I can tweak it by changing the narrative to her final battle with Xan from her perspective.

Like for example, she may be working on a final entry before she notices the arrival of a certain fiery dragon...then the narrative will reflect by describing how the battle went out from her first person-view. It would sound more epic then if I were to describe it from the perspective of one of the combatants...rather than extra journals from witnesses who might not have seen the battle at all.

I won't change the journal-style narrative until that battle though, as it'll just confuse the readers if I keep switching perspectives. Thanks for your comment :).

I have posted 'two' new entries to the journal. If anyone has a neat nickname I can use to refer to the hero of falconreach, please don't hesitate to PM me or post a reply in this thread. It helps alot if it sounds like a nickname that Lady Celestia herself would use within her character.

Akriloth's Egg is a lot later then our Dragon hatching. A LOT later. There's the whole CHaosweaver thing where the egg fell into their city, and, well, everything else up to the fire war saga.[;)] Also they are not the same egg. The parent of our dragon is unknown.

Hiraku Tatlin -> RE: (DF) Excerpts of a Tea-loving Priestess (2/12/2012 8:34:09)

Eh? I was trying to refer Akriloth's egg's hatching in the entry. Not our dragon's. When I referred to our dragon's, Lady Celestia was reminiscing about the time when you first hatched your dragon with Twilly. I admit the wording may have made that vague. Sorry about that.

I'll be sure to edit it so it makes sense.

Edit: Updated the previous journal entry. Hopefully it makes more sense identifying which egg is which.

Hah very nice, I quite enjoyed that. I liked the funny notes such as "Perhaps I should start charging him Dragon Coins. It makes sense when you think about it."
I don't know, just little details like that are...amusing.

Hiraku Tatlin -> RE: (DF) Excerpts of a Tea-loving Priestess (2/19/2012 23:19:27)

Thanks glaisaurus_x. Its comments like that that make writing these journals fun to make :).

I just updated the journals to include the dragon hatching. Don't mind if it sounds a little cheesy, I really got into it XD.

Glais -> RE: (DF) Excerpts of a Tea-loving Priestess (2/20/2012 3:06:30)

No problem. And the new entry was nice, thou it had a few minor mistakes.

I have to know though, why did they need to help it hatch? Our Dragon didn't need it.

addes, than

It's a decent story, but Elsyia wasn't present at the time Akriloth Jr. hatched. She was in Falconreach, which was the reason why she survived Xan's attack.

Hiraku Tatlin -> RE: (DF) Excerpts of a Tea-loving Priestess (2/20/2012 9:14:24)

Well there's one reason why Elysia used her magic. The dragon didn't really need any help to get out, but Elysia's magic helped to make it easier to bond with the dragon, like how mothers hug their babies, only with fancy dragon magic instead.

Also, the journals aren't meant to be literally in sync to the events to the game. Details may be changed to help smooth the flow of the story itself. But some game elements will still be preserved, like Elysia not being present during Xan's attack. Of course, that doesn't mean she wasn't too busy not to come by if Lady Celestia calls for her..assume she has teleportation magic to come to and from Sunbreeze grove to witness the hatching. Training under Lady Celestia has its perks, and magic I guess XD.

Later on in the story I'll explain was Elysia couldn't aid Lady Celestia during the Xan attack, but all in good time :).

Hiraku Tatlin -> RE: (DF) Excerpts of a Tea-loving Priestess (2/21/2012 15:58:06)

Added a new entry to Celestia's Journal. While I know Akriloth's son is recently hatched at the time of..Xan's attack, I wanted to give an account of his interactions with Elysia before she leaves to Falconreach to aid the Hero. Let me know what you guys think :).

Ha.

Anyhow, that was interesting, mostly due to the oddly intelligent nature of whatever Akriloth's son's name is.

'New' entries have been added to Lady Celestia's journal. "Recent" events have created an unsettling atmosphere around the priestess.

On a sidenote, assume that in the chronological lists of events, the event with Grams was one of the events that led Sepulchure to start making preparations on the attack against Falconreach and the other towns of Lore (to get the orbs, etc.)

The final entry to the Journal/Diary has been made.

I intend to write down the events behind the controntation between Lady Celestia and Xan/Akriloth, so please stay tuned. The next entry will change narratives to include a first-hand look at the battle, but will not be considered part of the journal itself. That should help make future events sound less..awkward.

I also included a nice addition to my readers. Well..its really referencing the Hero of Falconreach, but..just pretend its you Lady Celestia's talking about.
Thanks for all your kind comments to the development of this 'diary'. The story was meant to be short, but sweet, ending with the Xan/Akriloth battle and..Lady Celestia's eventually fate.

The tea party has began, and a special guest has decided to make their appearance. I haven't posted for a while, but listening to random music has motivated me a bit. Please enjoy.

Part 2 of the Epilogue has been written! I admit the story has glimmers of despair mixed in with a sprinkle of hope here and there. But it was fun to write overall. I appreciate your thoughts on this newest entry :).
