raff -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/23/2012 19:01:37)

It still is... You'll still be using it.

Antithesis -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/23/2012 19:03:05)

Pony Charge alone is not enough to destroy the set, though.
The combination, sure, but in your original post you said that Pony Charge alone counters the set completely.

linklink0091 -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/23/2012 23:16:39)

please keep this bickering out side this fourm as anti yo ustated this is not pvp discusstion thread..

fbi i dont correct builds i correct info about powers ppl post if its false in anyway

anti my haste isnt that high anymroe like it was during the ice barage phase, and since lowering and rasien haste is basied on %s lowering my haste while my haste is higher would lower it more then it it would when i dont use haste buffs...enjoy that lil fun fact .-.

Antithesis -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/23/2012 23:45:01)

I don't fully understand what you said to me but okay, Link. Lol.

So you can confirm that Brain Freeze does not lower haste? I swear it does...

Sadly, I don't have it. I was with a friend and it seemed to slow my cooldowns whenever he used it.

raff -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/24/2012 0:04:44)

Brain Freeze doesn't lower haste.

And what he meant is, haste debuffs use % to take away haste while haste buffs use numbers.

A 300 haste will receive a -75 haste under a 25% debuff.
While a 400 haste will receive a -100 haste under a 25% debuff.

plebster -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/24/2012 2:24:03)

@antithesis maybe he was using a Debuff straight after it before using brain freeze so it looked like that. I'm also pretty sure it doesn't. I might be on in an hour or two, so if you're on we can test brain freeze. Because if it does lower haste, that's a very powerful non lvl 20 move.

Antithesis -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/24/2012 5:22:34)

Okay thanks for clarifying. I always thought that it lowered haste. I'll be sure to find out what was affecting my CDs.

This might be a good thing though. Level 20s could use the same set with Chudling Rash instead of Brain Freeze, and therefore not suffer a brutal "debuff" so to speak.

plebster -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/24/2012 12:10:00)

I just read my earlier post about brain freeze and I noticed how badly worded it is. It doesn't make sense at all lol. Anyway, by how many percent does chudling rash lower haste? Because I found a nice chudling rash based build.

Antithesis -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/24/2012 14:28:08)

I don't really do any math when it comes to this, because I don't devote much time into making builds.
Generally, I spontaneously invent builds and sometimes even try builds randomly just to see if they work.

Chudling Rash is an effective haste debuff, I guess. It also drains energy which is a plus.

linklink0091 -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/25/2012 0:14:57)

this is just a guess becuase it has been some time since i used chudlings or had someone use it one me as a test, but if i recall it lowered haste by 30-40%

raff -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/27/2012 19:18:17)

=Can't Touch This Build= Credits go to Captin Tekno for making the build.

- Chuddling Rash
- Gravity Warp
- Magnetism
- Taser
- Warrior Spirit

It's a semi-perma stun lock build. I used it and it works wonders in 1 vs 1. Feel free to replace Warrior Spirit with Toreado if the opponent likes to stall on misses/dodges.

Drakkoniss -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/27/2012 21:07:05)

... Does Magnetism restore energy? Otherwise, taking Warrior Spirit out would be a rather bad idea, the way I see it.

Antithesis -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/28/2012 1:12:13)

I've fought Captin Tekno before and the set isn't foolproof by any stretch, I'm afraid, since I beat him. (Not sure if he was using this set, so take that with a grain of salt)

The big issue is that it doesn't do very much damage when compared to other power sets. A well placed heal here and there would completely obliterate it, as well as the fact it isn't really a perma-stun lock but instead a massive haste debuff. It has rather long cooldowns, as well.
This means that if the opponent still has the chance to do even one smart move, they could ruin the setup. It's definitely only effective in 1v1, as you said, but I don't know if it's safe to claim "Can't Touch This" just yet.

Not bad by any means, though.

linklink0091 -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/28/2012 21:22:07)

i agree with anti...and its a pitty more and more players are spaming haste debuffers....to me it seems to be a troll type of move to annoy ppl becuase they cant move nearly as fast

frankly i am cool wiht one or two haste debuffers if they are small and one large haste debuffer other wise thats just mean to another player and will most likely casue some form of rage

forshame spamers

CrownedPrince -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/29/2012 5:07:01)

Good God.. with all these conversations with haste de-buffers, I hope Chudling Rash won't be affected or nerfed. It's one of the most independent skill.

linklink0091 -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (3/31/2012 20:46:03)

it might be touched by the AE staff, if anything they will make the cooldown longer....knowing them they will make it more then they need to make it, still skills that are so easy to loop with such...i would call chudling to strong in effects but it dose have more then most skills...lets see...dot, damge over mana time effect haste cooldown....ya the only other skills i can think off the top of my head that have that many effects is relaity rend and that was nerfed becuase it was mixed with super intell maken for a nasty damge burst which was over used back when pvp was still new and no L.powers or super powers

Chuck the Awesome -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (4/6/2012 0:52:10)

Just made a new build and have yet to try it out in pvp.

Harokuii -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (4/7/2012 11:24:07)

Hello fellow HeroSmashers, before I begin, I'm somewhat of a noob when it comes to PVP due to my lack of experience, because I've been inactive since alpha, and my current level which is 13, I would like to ask for advice on how to be a worthy opponent in PVP, and what kind of build should I use to fight with?

Chuck the Awesome -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (4/7/2012 22:21:07)

I'm going with mental, but you could always do a haste buffer.
~Chuck Awesome

Edit: I survive just fine, but other lower level players can not beat players with almost or all legendary/super powers. I think there has to be a limit.

Antithesis -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (4/8/2012 13:59:24)

Anyways, on topic. I'm sure it's been established already, but in the event that you think you'll be fighting someone who uses Toreado, be sure to have Gravity Warp. It's pretty much the counter-Toreado.

And if you're using Toreado, be sure you have a backup plan ready just in case you fight someone who DOES have Gravity Warp.

blank452 -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (4/8/2012 18:27:37)

But don't forget, even when fighting against a Toreado/Grav Warp user, you can still use the ol' fail safe.

Gravity warp can and will miss.

blank452 -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (4/8/2012 18:55:37)

@raff
I've used Grav Warp a lot, and it has never missed. There isn't a component of the skill that can miss, so it never does. Same principle with Stupefacio and Yergenism.

raff -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (4/8/2012 18:59:57)

The opponent haste lowering factor misses. And since the simulation he is mentioning involves an opponent using Toreado, Gravity warp will miss.

In addition, it won't matter if his haste is higher since the opponent will be dodging all his attacks for the rest of the 9 seconds that are left.

Removed trolling. ~Icy

Chuck the Awesome -> RE: =HS= Your powerful PvP Builds Thread (4/8/2012 19:30:45)

I sadly do not know how to merge posts.
I have used gravity warp a few times and it has never missed (not concluding anything, just throwing it out).
