The fiftieth update is up.

Astroking112 -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (10/18/2013 18:27:20)

The fifty-first update is up.

Selutu and kkutwar, if you don't respond to this update, then your characters will be removed from the game.

.R.M. -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (10/18/2013 21:55:53)

One thing didn't really make sense to me... "Shadow, I can follow your motions because my 'insanity' allows me to know exactly what you other Player Characters are trying to do me, and guess what, your crystal that grant you your powers is too bulky for you to easily carry, and because of that I can evade you until you get tired as I slowly regain stability and then I could just teleport out of your range."

My character is carrying his crystal? As far as I can recall, it just stays in his private cave. Granted, it would be heavy to carry... Too heavy in fact. Which is why he doesn't carry it around, to my knowledge. I don't know... Maybe there was something I missed? Just bringing this up as it didn't really make much sense to me.

Astroking112 -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (10/20/2013 16:22:16)

I think that Lord Darkblade was trying to talk about the weight moreso than the shape. Your crystal is most definitely too big to carry (I think it was somewhere around the size of a moving van), and even someone with a strength level of 10 may have trouble. It might just be a mistake (It's hard to believe that it's been a year since we began).

Lord Darkblade -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (10/20/2013 17:02:07)

Size and weight are the factors I was talking about by bulky.

.R.M. -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (10/20/2013 20:48:08)

Oh. So the size/weight of the crystal has an affect on how agile your character is? That's where I was confused.

Lord Darkblade -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (10/20/2013 21:04:53)

Of course, if something was too heavy you would go slower, and if it was to large then you could barely carry it comfortably.

.R.M. -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (10/21/2013 15:59:50)

Is that fair though? Did we know about this before character creation? If I had known, I would've made my crystal smaller.

Lord Darkblade -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (10/21/2013 16:02:47)

It was implied, because we were allowed to make our own size crystal, so we should've known the risks that came with having a large crystal.

.R.M. -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (10/21/2013 18:49:12)

Yeah, but the person who originally made the game never said anything about it, and I assumed only things he said would be in the game...

Anyways, the "agile" character I had originally thought up is now apparently slow just because of his crystal size. Doesn't make complete sense. I can see where you're coming from, but I hadn't known this while making a character.

Lord Darkblade -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (10/21/2013 18:54:03)

I just used logic OK.

Astroking112 -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (10/21/2013 21:23:09)

The benefits of having a small crystal is accessibility of the crystal (Making it much easier to keep a hold on your stability), at the cost of power. While larger crystals are generally associated with slow but powerful types (It's much rarer to find a small really strong Super-Powered), it is true that it can not remotely affect your mobility. Shadow (Or any other character)'s mobility is only hampered when he physically tries to move the crystal (Like moving a big rock).

Sorry for the confusion. I tried to make this clear at the beginning of the game, and, when I create a new rule (Generally after realizing an error I've made...), I try to give a fair amount of warning before it is implemented.

Astroking112 -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (11/2/2013 15:23:59)

Update 52 is up. Thanatos (Played by Selutu) is now deceased, having succumbed to his powers. kkutwar has requested more time, so Blazing Eagle is still in-game.

Astroking112 -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (11/16/2013 18:25:12)

Update 53 is now up. Sorry for the tardiness, I realized just an hour ago that I had a game on the forum that I didn't remember the last time I had updated.

Astroking112 -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (12/8/2013 15:53:50)

Update 54 is up.

Astroking112 -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (12/20/2013 18:56:53)

Update 55 is up. Sorry for the shortness; it's Holiday time and I have a track record of getting sick. This year was no exception. [&:]

Astroking112 -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (1/4/2014 19:34:04)

The fifty-sixth update is up.

Astroking112 -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (1/18/2014 19:34:33)

Update 57 is up.

Astroking112 -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (1/30/2014 21:35:26)

Update 58 is up.

Kosefira -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (1/31/2014 11:33:22)

I feel kind of odd that the last few posts are all yours with no discussion between them.

Astroking112 -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (2/2/2014 18:59:12)

I wasn't sure what to do, but I didn't want this thread to be buried in case someone needed it, so I decided to just provide another reminder that there's a new update (And bigger news).

That said, I've been thinking about reopening the game to applications. I originally closed them because I wasn't aware just how long this game would run on (It's hard for me to believe that this has been going on for over a year), and it felt like it wouldn't be fair for old players to suddenly have to deal with new people that are starting out unscathed. In hindsight, this was a mistake, because, while it is easier for me to update, things are growing too stale and small with such a small group of players.

Certainly this could also be attributed to the fact that I'm quite frankly too hesitant to kill someone. I'm afraid of being unfair (Especially now, since people have been sticking around for so long), and this has been working against the game's basic survival theme. When players meet, the confrontations should be quick and concise, yet I want to give both equal chances of surviving if they choose to fight. If the game were opened up again, however, I could probably afford to be a little more ruthless in my designs.

I'm going to leave it up to y'all. This game wouldn't exist without its players, and if people don't mind then I'm sure that I could think of a way to enable new Super-Powered showing up.

kkutwar -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (2/2/2014 19:12:15)

Well new characters could easily just be Supers that were running around in the background up to this point. By the way, you could of just deleted the last OOC post and paste it into a recently made one to avoid creating an uninterrupted chain of eight posts.

Lord Darkblade -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (2/2/2014 19:12:38)

Do what you want, it doesn't matter to me.

kim346 -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (2/2/2014 22:46:22)

New apps would be nice :)

Kosefira -> RE: Super-Powerd (NY) OOC (Game under construction) (2/3/2014 1:51:27)

Keeping applications closed for Wrath because of the relatively linear storyline was one of my game's bigger faults, to be honest. I think the active player list was down to three at one point which, along with my busier schedule, is why that thread is almost three years old now.
