So, I was duelling just now. and I was against a non varium, nerfed his stats, and he used the Rusted assault bot.

This give me an idea, the reason I bought my Assault bot, for 12500Credits was for the 80% Buff removal, which Is pretty much what everyone uses it for. (Minus juggs with a high focus level or certain build) So I decided to wiki search the Rusted assault bot, here is what I found..

Rusted assault bot -



Robot Details
Type: Physical Robot
Damage: 8-12 + (Technology Bonus) + (Focus Level x 6)
Improves with: Technology
Special Abilities: Inflicts 6x normal focus damage.
Reduces 80% of debuff effects from a target.
Requirements: None
Varium Required: No
Location: Junker (Central Station)
PvP Drop
Credit Price: 14000
Varium Price: 0

Assault bot -



Robot Details
Type: Energy Robot
Damage: 10-14 + (Technology Bonus) + (Focus Level x 6)
Improves with: Technology
Special Abilities: Inflicts 6x normal focus damage.
Reduces 80% of debuff effects from a target.
Requirements: None
Varium Required: Yes
Credit Price: 12500
Varium Price: 1250

So, the Rusted assault bot has pretty much the same of everything, special abilities, same improvement stats, etc. BUT It does have 8-12 compared to 10-14? But the rusted assault bot is 14000 credits. NO varium. But the Assault bot 12500Credits and1250 has the same stats (Pretty much) As the non varium version?!

This isn't gonna make more than a few damage difference.

But the thing that really got me was the fact that the Rusted assault bot has the same buff removal % (80%) As the Assault bot, which is 1250 varium.

1250 Varium is equal to $9.95 Or £6.17.


So basically, we're paying 12500 credits and £6.17/$9.95 of our own money for an item that you can buy for 14000 credits and £0/$0?

So for £6.17/$9.95 we're getting a prettier bot and 2 more + damage? That's pretty lame.
Basically, I think either the Rusted assault bot should be nerfed so it only heals 50% of buffs.

OR

It's price is raised to 25000 - 30000 Credits.

Removing it though would be stupid, as people who play this game name varium do need some help verses variumites.

If this post has already been posted, please mail me to say it's being removed / mail me saying why you're removing it. :)

Agreed, keep it small credit price for non varium users but bring it to 40-50%, i spent 11k credits and 1250 varium for it... and now people get it for free...

I would say that 90% of free to play players won their bot instead of paying for it. Is this adding insult to injury for you xMyst??

I think that the drop rate is a bit excessive concerning the bot. I also agree that the bot should be alot more expensive.

Expensive means people can get it now, + 1 or more from drop and sell it for higher, apart from that 20k max?

Well, I don't believe with those figures, but If they are that high, I do believe they should be lowered.

What I'm placing that assumption on is the fact I've won 1300 Fights and not go a single one. :P

I do not mean to greenrain on your parade but,

(omg that was epic)

for the correct cost to real money, the varium for an Assault Bot is equal to about $5 and not $10.

I agree that rusted assault bot is overcharged, especially for a non varium item. And especially when any player can get it for free from a random battle, with a very high drop chance. (I got 4 from just 207 Juggernaut wins.)

Its not a big problem. The only reason why I'm not selling my assault bot for varium is because you guys keep on complaining and I'm worried that it might get nerfed and I will have to re-buy it meaning I lose money. Besides us variums have 5 (about to become 6) bots we can choose from, it's not a big deal. [8|]

Try doing a juggernaut battle against two level 30+ non vars while using a build that relies on a nerf, and THEN come back and tell me it's not a big deal. Hopefully by then your opinion will have been corrected. :)

Most likely outcome:
Zman: Smoke/Malfunction
Player 1: Rusted assault bot
Player 2: Smoke, malf, or field commander.
Zman: Bot, or something similar.
Player 1: Heal if necessary.
Player 2: "HULK SMASH!"

This will probably continue until you are dead. And the most annoying part is that this type of fight happens about 1/6 of the time.

Items are supposed to on average be two levels different depending on varium or non varium. Rusted Assault Bot has two damage lower than the Assault Bot. That's about two levels difference.

I'm okay with everything argued about except for the one point u mentioned, Myst.

That is changing the debuff to 50%.

Tell me how it is going to help? It's gonna be a waste of a turn for those using the bot.

Not necessarily. A decent debuff gives -40 in a stat. 50% of 40 is 20. In a player with low tech, that could be as much as 6 levels of resistance. 6 x 3 rounds = 18 damage negated. If the player relies on tanking, or an ability that takes time to work, this would still be a useful bot. Especially considering how easy to obtain it is.

U'll still end up wasting a crucial turn which i dont think is very worth it, especially in modes like Juggernaut and 1vs1.

assault robot is very old. Dat y it is be free for EVERYONE. Just be happy it is drop and stop complain about good tings.

wow this old chestnut....

non-variums needed a robot. Even if it does reduce 80% like the varium version, they are still non-var, less stats, less damage, less def/res, less enhancements
and less damage on robot if they use a focus build. it's not like the robot made non-vars overpowered lol, it just gave them a chance when debuffed and improved
their usefullness in 2v2, rather than just getting one attack and dying, because they got debuffed first turn.

If they would lower the percentage of the debuff, it would no longer be useful any more. Instead, it will be wasting a turn. The assault bot deals physical damage and has lower damage than the assault bot, be grateful. Nobody even forced you to buy the bot. If you bought it just for the debuff and didn't know that normal battles didn't drop any bots that could debuff the same percentage, it's your loss because of your lack of knowledge. No non variums should suffer because of what you found out in the last minute and decided to go against it because you felt it was unfair and a waste of money.

If you heavily rely on a debuff on a single player in a juggernaut battle, it's time to change build dont you think? And if you think that there's no more builds to use for juggernaut than that, i'd say it's time to change class that's more suitable. I play juggernaut battles and i dont even need to use any form of debuff to win easily.

Look on the bright side, even if they debuff for 80%, they'll still waste a turn to do it and that already gives you an advantage to attack without being attacked.

Well... Non Variums All Of Us Were One... In The Fact I Still Like To Think I'm One... From When Varium Was Implemented We Non Variums Fought You Variums Survived You .. Losed To You.. From The Beggining We Knowed We Are Low In Number And Chances.. And Yet We Didn't Gaved Up...Maybe It Is Just Me But I Think We Earned This... We Earned A Bot To Work With Us...

Buff assault bot by 1 damage and lower rusted bots special attack to 75%. I think that would be fair.

I'm sorry,but i am totally against this. We had assault bot for ages before the nonvariums got this one. It was really nice touch from devs to add this one with so little difference in abilities aka damage.
Consider the fact that it is still ONLY nonvarium bot. That is 5:1 in favor of varium. I really don't think there is reason to complain.
