compare merc with a blood mage. Both classes can regenerate health now but merc can have more defence as they can rely on the buff to increase their strength. Secondly an atom smash can screw a blood mage.

Only one build works and that fireball nuke. If i get a block on my bludgeon i am screwd again.

I do not have options to make any diverse build. I tried 5 focus but it fails.

I strongly suggest giving blood mage new skill. Get rid of defensive buffs and give us offensive buffs.
Take out energy shield and give us deadly cannon new skill. Does the same effect as deadly aim but increases aux damage.
Take out reflex boost and give us blood rage. Passive skill increases 40 strength increases rage by 10% and gives us 10% critical chance at level 10. This skill should drain 10 energy per turn. If the user has less than 10 energy this passive skill is dormant. So in other words this passive skill will hold good only for the first 2 or max 3 turns.

Its pointless playing a blood mage on 2 on 2 and i hardly have any choice in making different play styles.

high tech Plasma Cannon build work great with DA, the extra tech helps with deflections, gives resistance and can even be useful in a 4 focus build, to increase your robots damage.

high dex Overload build works great with Bludgeon, the extra dex helps with blocks, gives defence and can even be useful for a Multi build, increasing damage in 1v1 and 2v2.

decent support build works great with Intimidate, the extra support helps with crits, improves rage gain and boosts defensive skills like Energy Shield and Reflex Boost.

Blood Mage has many viable options, just too many players expect to beat every single build, when they don't they switch back to the no1 class, which is currently Cyber Hunter.

So is this thread in general a balance suggestion?

My general suggestion for Blood Mages is to provide them powerful defensive skills and powerful offensive skills. These are not in the form of burst though, but buffs. I was thinking:

•Field Commander
•Reflex Boost
•Technician
•Blood Shield
•Physical Blood Shield

Finally 1 skill to synergize with each offensive buff, keep Bludgeon, Plasma Cannon, and Plasma Rain.
