I'm about to post. Viraus can still act, but Talon is going to be in for some trouble.

EDIT: Okay. Viraus has a gust of wind heading for him, with pointy tips if he loses balance and a snare if he dodges. Brandon has a weaker, but still tough, blast of wind hoping to make him fall from a tree. And Aurim has cords that will attempt to tie around him after he swings at Alexis. Alexis has a call waiting. And Talon has a singed wing and three opponents. Ouch.

ReEDIT: I won't be able to even look at this for a few days. I'll be leaving tomorrow morning, after checking these threads. I'll be back Tuesday, scheduled for around noon my time, 1:00 p.m. server. I'll probably spend that day sleeping, reviewing current posts, and starting my next one. I will probably post Wedensday morning.

Hmm. Beeboat, I'm wondering if Brother Flinn is aiming to stand at the centre of the ring of standing stones, or at the outer edge of the quadrant? I think I missed his arrival at the area in my entry post (it was very late), but your post only says that he began heading in that direction, but not that he arrived there. If Flinn is also aiming for the obsidian tomb, this may work out to a possible territorial confrontation over the position.

Post will *hopefully* be up sometime tomorrow evening, possibly tonight if I find the time.
In the meanwhile, more people need to use the IRC channel. It's so much easier writing combat when you can plan a few blows in advance.

Also, I won't really have time to write tomorrow night, but I should be able to get a quick sketch in, so I figured I'd draw a picture of Alexis, just for those curious. Not really important to the fight at all, but worth mentioning I guess.

mrbk: To clarify, the mana flashes were shot where Brandon jumped to, though should hit after the wind blast. A highly probable miss.

I'm back! I should have a post in late today or early tomorrow, after I finish reviewing current posts.

Edit: I just realized Geddesmck hasn't posted yet. As Talon has a physical attack going at him, I can't do anything. I'll start on my post, but I won't be able to finish it.

I don't know what to post!
From the looks of things, a few people have gone inactive...I read a rule that says you need to keep posting every five days, otherwise you can get killed off. Does that mean I could just aim an attack at somebody inactive and kill them?

Gedd, what exactly is that head going to do when you cut his strings? I don't know if you want me to put it in my post, or to wait for your next post.

Apocalypse, how much force would it take to break those chains? A strong slash and push? Or powerful magic? I know the hand will fly back to your arm if Talon is able to do it.

Tdub: The chains are as strong as steel. I cannot answer if a slash or powerful magic would do it because I am not savvy with how strong either one of those is with your character. Just think what Talon would have to do to tear through steel (such as steel armor). That's all I can really say.

Talon is not aware of what the head will do, nor does he know the extent of control Viraus has over the chain-hand. And he is still waiting for Alexis's answer. Everything that is needed to know is explained in my post, but he did not actually attacked Viraus.

Aurim wasn't moving towards Talon as of my last post Tdub. That said I can imagine why you might have assumed he was. For the sake of making things easy shall we say Aurim turned to face Talon after being hit and Talon reasonably thought this meant Aurim was coming for him? That way neither of us has to change anything.

Also, don't worry about what the head does. I want to reveal that in-post and until the thread is cut it's not doing anything anyway.

Well, griffins do judge largely by appearance. And Talon only got a fleeting glimpse of him. During that time, it would appear that he is walking towards him.

Posted. Considering that Aurim never moved, the hand would not be in range. And mrbk, if you block the hand with an object then it will grab it and try to yank it out of Brandon's hands.

Well, that puts a kink in Talon's plan. Now Talon is basically ignoring Aurim and Viraus. I'll have a post up in the next few day, after Gedd and The Extinguisher. By the way, your post said that Viraus released the fight-claws from his hand. I had assumed, since Viraus had formed and sent Mana Flashes from both hands, that he had already released them after the pull. Is that a mistake on my part?

Tdub: Viraus has four hands - his two human ones (with a bones overlaying them) and the two additional skeletal hands. To clarify, he caught the fight-claw with a skeletal hand and shot mana flashes from his human hands. I try to say skeletal hand when I'm referring to the extra hands, though I'll do better in the future to distinguish the two.

mrbk: How strong is this fireball? (Weak fireball, mediocre fireball, strong fireball? This is important for Viraus's abilities)

How strong is the fireball? It's probably equivalent to a baseball being pitched, as it's the same size, except it's firey, and kind of explodes slightly on contact.

Apocalypse - Okay, I saw the skeleton hand part. I just assumed that both sets of hands were skeletal. My mistake. On an unrelated note, it seems that Des and Flinn are the only ones in the arena not involved in the current fight. Maybe I could remedy that. What? I didn't say anything.
