Back in beta, if you beat titan and nightwraith, it meant you had skill. You had to make builds to kill them. Now it's you can win no mater what happens.

Does anybody think we need some harder achievment NPC's?

Chosen one I feel the same. Even though I wasn't in beta I remember when you had to be Cyber hunter to beat admin 11, now I can beat him with any class with almost any build. The only somewhat decent boss would be the dragonoid brain.

But at the same time remember they didn't have extremely powerful equipment back in the days like they have now plus with the new levels and the buffs they been giving to characters and equipment while the bosses remained the same of course it would be like that.

But I still agree we need harder bosses.

Its not the bosses,

Its the players...

The level has increased from 32 to 35 that's 3 more skill points and twelve more stat points, also the new weapons offer at least 10 stats points more each so that's about 52 more stats and 3 more skill points.

We need new bosses, not 2v1, have some 1v1 bosses as well.

Well in the past weeks I Got the Old hard npc nolstalgia, when fighting dravax solo. that was Fun. But we need moar bosses for 1v1.

Its not the level it's enhancements if you get around 40+ extra stat points don't you think you would have a better chance than you did back in beta? The bosses are fine for their levels without enhancements. We need some lv 33-35 bosses.

We don't just need more bosses we need more npcs. Right now there are only 6 level 30+ (not including bosses) npcs. [:(]

Lol, if ima farm credits first thing I do is kill nightwraith 5 times, easy with bh build :) and then I kill the rest of the bosses.

if u know gd build than all npc are easy no npc is hard and depend on build only the npc is hard or not

Chosen 0ne just make a non varium alt and you see
that boss NPCs are still challenging. [;)]

The point is at which win rate you think that a NPC
is challenging. For some it is at a win rate of 50% and
for others it is at 5%.

I think a win rate of 25% is acceptable, possibly lower.

I agree with Luna, back then using your own tokens and having all bosses' achievements was object of admiration but now not only you don't have to pay the tokens but the npcs have become weaker themselves. Not because we have grown in power( more lvls, stat points or skill points), rather the balancing in class have made some bosses fall to the 60-75% of their power from where they were first released. Big Tuna just to beat the crap out of me even with top varium gear at lvl 33, but some months ago when I was lvl 34 I used new rare nonvarium weapons and I was able to beat it, it made me sad to know such powerful and hard boss become nothing but a medium class npc. I think I'm not the only one feeling like this toward a boss.

^yep i just tired now, and i beat BT with a str BH build level 34, full enhance. and she got 5 crits on me to.

I remember the days where I battled nightwraith 100 times before I won
I remember the days where bigtuna was only beaten by a single nonvar (B9000)
I think there should be a new "super boss" NPC

To keep it from being a "hope he doesn't crit" game even with the best build, this NPC cannot crit

1000 varium and 25000 credits for beating, only once a month. Also a 5000 rating cheevo, one-time.
Hows that for an NPC that requires strategy even for P2P

Um, so,

then... infinite healing is required to win, or go vampire on them with Bloodlust? The damage of this NPC is very high, extreme stats get this type of damage. The rewards do not justify the boss since both are out of proportion.

Don't you think thats getting a bit much? Just an achievement is reward enough, but really in 12 months you would have about 12k varium and 300k credits by the end of the year! Please don't just use the fact that it's "super-hard" as an excuse to get free stuff. If you can beat it once, you can beat it again.

Well I think the npcs were easy back in gamma and beta, I beat every npc at level 27-28 (Titan, Caden, Nightwraith,Tuna) George Lowe and Charfade I beat when they came out but by then I was already level 30. By the way, those were all 1st attempts [:)][:D]

It's called having 61 average defense and resistance, or 56 average defense and resistance and making up the rest with bloodlust
Oh, and 12k varium? Lasting a year? Stop making me laugh

Well look at it this way, for beating an Npc 12 times, you just saved yourself more than $50 dollars worth of varium, which would be very bad for business.

These new Boss NPCs don't deserve the title of BOSS. George Lowe was the most challenging for me, before I bought Frost weapons and changed from Mercenary to Bounty Hunter. ED really needs more challenging NPCs, but more importantly, they need more achievement NPCs.

Aha Ch0sen, but they still are hard :o!

Yes I do remember when they were extremely hard. I remember when Petula still played too (I used a similar Battle Mage build to hers), and I remember when ORDER used his Strength Bounty Hunter build to beat Titan.

The cost was also 5 20?? battle tokens to challenge I spent over 1,000 tokens overall :S And I lost multiple ties and the losses counted to your win ratio.
It was so so so much harder when we were only level 30.

EDIT: Jari I can't remember if it was 20 tokens, I think they lowered the price down to 5 before taking it away ;)

I think the cost should still be there and the battles counted to the record. Today not only are the bosses easier, but you can also try countless of times with a bad build hoping to get lucky to win.

Yes we do. I missed the idea of skill and hard work needed to achieve the achievements from NPC's. As well as the tension that followed like "OMG 1 MORE TURN MAN, NOOOOOOO! HE BLOCKED!" and when we beat the NPC, for all our hard work we not only got an achievement but we took real pride with it too.
