Seriously, str builds with an unblockable strike that reduces rage? At least make the thing blockable or make it do only 75% dmg...it's already bad enough...

Probably because of the stat allocation. Strength and Dexterity plus a melee skill is begging for a certain you know what.

For making it blockable not supported. It is a one time use special unlike most regular skills and for it to be blockable because of this would really be a hard nerf and would make this move less useful. Say if the person uses the move and it is blocked and it can't be used again? How would this be fair? All one time use moves were made unblockable for this reason. Even the baby yeti's move that used to be blockable was made unblockable because it was useless otherwise. Plus weather you know it or not the special has been nerfed twice already since before if the rage added made the bar full you could rage with it, and it also worked with your primary weapon before but it is now locked to a physical strike. Besides strength itself needs a nerf and nerfing the moves that work with strength while leaving strength itself OP won't do anything but weaken the moves for other builds while strength will still get the most out of it. As for making it work with 75% while it sound more reasonable this would hurt other builds using this special much more then strength builds since no matter how much you nerf a move whatever stat it works with will still benefit from using it more then other builds.

Let it be blockable and if the attack get blocked it still reduces rage, same as delta weps shrunk, You can hit and if it get's blocked it still shrunk the enemy,

@ Rayman The curse effect can come many times unlike chairman's fury which is a one time use special. Also if you hadn't noticed every other one time use move in the game is unblockable as well. It make no sense to make this one blockable. It was one of the many reason people barely used the baby yeti's special when it was blockable. It wouldn't be useful in the least.

From what I've seen when people use the special on me, it doesn't actually reduce rage because I can rage right after I got hit. Either that or the difference is minimal.

@ Jerkyll Even when it takes rage you still get rage while taking the blow. OP is more upset about it being a free hit that strength abusers use rather then the effect from what I am seeing since they want the attack blockable or reduced in strength rather then the effect itself.

I agree, it should be blockable. The Str abusers only see it as a free unblockable attack, not as a rage steal option. When i was a str bm i also just used it as a unblockable att.

Think of the yeti special. It's a one time use, but if it gets blocked, it can be used again. Otherwise, the dmg can be nerfed instead.

@ midnightsoul They made the attack unblockable for the baby yeti now. Why you ask? Because when it was like that (being blockable) it wasn't as useful since it could be blocked. Plus you had to wait 3 more turns before you could even use the bot again. Making chairmen's fury the way the baby yeti was before it's buff would only make this special the same as the baby yeti was.

Yeti is a bot and chairman special is the only armor special, so they should make it blockable. People dont care if it drains some of the enemy rage, they only see it as a free unblockable hit.

@ rayman I think the staff thinks otherwise. Remember when the yeti was blockable? They themselves felt it wasn't useful enough so they made the move unblockable. And this is why they are complaining about this free hit yet they aren't complaining about the other free unblockable/ deflectable hits. As I stated many times the azreal borg, pyro fly, and baby yeti are all free unblockable hits but do anyone complain about these? I don't see it. Yet there we have another one yet everyone in their right minds is complaining. In all honestly it isn't the fact that it is a free unblockable hit because if that was the case then everyone would be complaining about those bots specials as well.The real reason everyone is complaining about this is more of the fact that it works with strength (which right now is OP) instead of tech like the other three and that unlike the bots that do 60% damage (Baby yeti and azreal borg) or 80% damage (pyro fly) this does 100% damage.

Mother, What Rayman said was my point. Other armors don't even have an attack special that's unblockable. It pretty unfair if you think about it. If it's blocked, it's ok because it's a strike basically with a few powerful feautures. Worse, it scales with str...

@ midnightsoul Other armors don't have an attack special at all. This one is the first of it's kind just like the Assault bot (being the first robot) and the Gamma bot (being the first offensive robot) Also did you read my latest post? What you are saying about it scaling with strength is the main reason why everyone is complaining about this move and not the bot's specials that are in the same boat (being free unblockable hits) I am willing to bet if this was scale with another stat instead of strength no one would be complaining about this. Because as I stated before this isn't the first free unblockable hit that was introduced into the game. In fact that would be the Azreal borg (since the pyro fly wasn't in the game at the time, and the baby yeti's move was blockable) If anything the damage output is what needs a nerf. Because even if it is blockable unless they make it so you can use it until it connects it will be worse then what the baby yeti had. I am saying this because the baby yeti special was usable until it connected. Making this move blockable and not having it usable again wouldn't be fair in the least either. It would be punishing those who brought the promo bigtime.

@mother1 yeah you are right in my book, when the promo came out we buy it its because we like it, nerfing it is just ripping off our money and we are not getting what we paid for. it would be great if the damage scaling of the platinum's pride is moved to support.

Not saying it needs a nerf, it's perfect where it is, But the thread starter may think it's OP because it does your primary damage, improving with strength... Platinum's Pride + Lots of strength spamming = An OP armor to some!

@ Mr Clean XD This issue can be solved by nerfing strength itself since that is what this move is improving with. Also to be honest almost every topic I see about nerfing something has to do with strength based moves or things that help strength abusers.

@Mother1 For the past 1-2 months all I've seen is: Strength Massacre Strength is too OP Platinum's Pride Strength needs a nerf! Massacre needs a nerf! Deadly aim! Blood mages Bounty hunters Bludgeon (It works with strength) All relate to strength...

@ rayman It was nerfed already. At first it used to work with your primary weapon to base damage but then they locked it into physical only damage. But I stay that this won't be needed once strength is given a good nerf. As Mr Clean has posted what everyone seems to be complaining about (with the exception of the infernal android) is a strength based issue. Chairman's fury- It is a free strike that STRENGTH builds are abusing Massacre- too much damage output with STRENGTH builds Bloodlust- Heals too much but works best with STRENGTH builds Deadly aim with Blood mages because STRENGTH builds are abusing it and these are just a few of the complains that I have seen because Str is so OP which is some people have been posting just nerf strength itself instead of nerfing the moves themselves. Nerfing strength bring all of these moves down a couple of pegs and best of all you won't be hurting the other builds that are abusing them.

it would help if the special did 60% damage like the yeti. But it does not really bother me. So yea i am cool with anything

Personally,when I bought the 10k package last month I was confused between the Plat. Pride and the Delta Knight. I chose Plat. Pride for 2 reasons : - Unblockable - Rage-Stealing I wasn't really concerned about the damage output percentage,so in my opinion..A slight damage reduction to prevent abusing won't hurt. Let's say 80%,lower than that won't be fair. Yeah one more thing,I don't know if the special attack works with rage i.e. ignores defense when rgae,but it shouldn't.

Why can't it deal 60% or 80% DMG? that way we keep it unblockable and still steals the enemy rage Mr clean: It won't be a waste of money since is the only armor with a nice special.

@ Mr. Clean I have to agree with rayman on that one. it say the move was unblockable and that it steals rage. It never said it would do 100% damage or mention the damage down period. While making the move blockable would be ripping people off since they paid for it to be unblockable lowering the damage it does wouldn't be.
