Ive had this idea for a long time and i think its the perfect time to mention it now.
RQQ stands for Ratio Quality Quofficient. Its quality and quantity unified in one number.
The first thing you would think of is multiplying wins with the number of times ur wins outmatch losses, for example 1000:100 ratio would get 1000 x (1000/100). But as you go on win % takes too big role as 10,000:500 would match 50,000:4000. The perfect balance is achieved if the equation is wins^3 / (losses+1).
It wouldnt be simply number of wins like some players sugested.
It would mainly depend on wins but it would also have strong effect of win %.
New leaderboard should be formed and this would give a chance to new players to take over!
It would take 10,000:0 to take comicalbiker down, if you only lost 7 battles it would take 20,000 wins so i dont think there is any danger and the current leaderboard would stay about the same for a long time to come.
(10000:0 seams like a possible outcome considering buffy with 9000:17, but remember it would have to be acctualy 1v1 pvp record in Omega).
if you calculated RQQ for 20000:7 it would give pointles numbers for us like 1,000,000,000,000,
so it should be devided by 10^8 just to bring it down to the range where we can read it, in this case 10,000 (thats current comicalbikers RQQ (the best RQQ ingame)).
I know this seams complicated but it wouldn't affect your normal gameplay, it would be automaticaly displayed insted of win - lose.
It would only be known to AE's software doing all the math!
This would help players relax because losses wouldnt show,
10.000:500 would equal 18000:3000, or 30000:800 would equal 46000:3000 etc.
It would help player that start out in omega with no npcs in their record to match hardcore npcers and it would make todays players with 50000:2000 lose their edge while still not being as drastic as removing battle records.
However bad you think this might be, it could never be worse than leaving, for example Doctus with 77000:1500 keep his record when all new players have to do only random PvP.

O.O
please add some spacing in ur post if u can.
giant walls of text aren't very helpful for other readers.
(just advice)

Mother1 -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 15:58:57)

Please use spacing and don't lump everything together like that. It makes it harder for people to read. However from what I got from this not supported in the least.

J.U.S.T.I.C.E. -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:05:14)

not supported. People can find ways around that system

goldslayer1 -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:07:04)

ehh. not supported.
this is still the same as a win ratio.
and all times would be pointless without wins.

13891389aaaaa -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:09:36)

Way around the system? Like what?

J.U.S.T.I.C.E. -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:10:45)

e.g. server releases. a whole faction could search together thus ending in a win for particular players

goldslayer1 -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:13:33)

quote:

ahh, so RQQ is based on wins.
because of that, its simply not supported right there.

13891389aaaaa -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:14:06)

if you got 18000:3000 in Omega you would always be ashamed standing next to a player who got 10000:500 by npcs because you could never know how he got it. And theres acctualy nothing to be ashamed of because those two ratiois are of the same quality.
And yes, not everyone would be ASHAMED, but they could feel uncomfortable or have a negative oppinion of themselves just because of players that will be called cheaters in omega (npcers) with unfair advantage of simply being lucky to play in the right stage of ED.

goldslayer1 -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:16:00)

@1389
or just remove losses and battle count, and then it doesn't matter how much a player NPCed.

J.U.S.T.I.C.E. -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:16:04)

This ratio thing doesn't make sense.. Please use another term of mathmatical unit

13891389aaaaa -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:17:08)

If you mean 18000:3000 it means wins to loses, win:lose- 18000:3000

Mother1 -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:19:16)

How is that any different then what we have now?

We have wins on one side, and losses on another. Even more of a reason not to support this idea.

13891389aaaaa -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:19:30)

I dont want to argue, but i do want to discus.
If battle records were to be removed, i personaly and maybe 50% of players would quick in an instant!
That is the main thing that makes ED different from for example dragonfable.
If there were no ratios, then what would be different after doing a battle? Why would you fight at all?

have fun, get wins, try out creative builds without punishments (losses)

JariTheMighty -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:22:59)

I like this system because it doesn't show wins or losses. This could turn out to be a great system if the numbers got adjusted right.

goldslayer1 -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:26:00)

@jari
ninja edit huh?

i personally still think removing losses (battle counts too) is the better way to go.

quote:

50% of the players... trolawlwut?

theres already a pile of players who are semi active/retire or have quit before saying they would come back in an instant if losses and battle count were removed. me included.

13891389aaaaa -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:27:27)

Win:lose is what we have now. when i talked about standing next to someone with 10000:500, i was giving an example how ED would be if battle records are left as they are. In RQQ there would only be one number, in this case (for 10k:500) 20 and it would show insted of win:lose for both 10000:500 and 18000:3000 player.

goldslayer1 -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:28:39)

@1389
so u want to change it from % to KDR (Kill/Death Ratio)

thats pretty much the same we have now.

13891389aaaaa -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:30:30)

KDR doen't depend on how high your wins are at all.

goldslayer1 -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:31:20)

@1389
neither does % ratio
u can have 100% ratios with 100 wins, or 2k wins.
its the same.

but these things shouldn't be based on how high ur wins are.

13891389aaaaa -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:33:03)

if you had 100% with 100 wins your RQQ would be 0.01, and with 2000 it would be 80.

goldslayer1 -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:35:30)

@1389
so X player having more wins than Y player makes X player is considered better now?

this is the type of system that shouldn't be in ED.

13891389aaaaa -> RE: Replacing win:lose with RQQ in Omega (12/14/2012 16:36:44)

Take my equation, write down a few ratios as they are now and compare them.

Edit: In omega player with higher % is a better player PERIOD. But Omega battle records will only add up to already excisting npc records and for a very long time( 2 years maybe) win % wont be reasonable way to judge who's more skilled! Thats why i think RQQ is good.

Unsupported, I like to see my wins and loses.
