Clutch -> The Best Memories of ED (12/29/2012 18:30:55)

As we near the end of a phase of EpicDuel and begin a new one, I thought it'd be nice to talk about our most memorable moments of ED. Mine are as follows:

1. When I first got my founder armor and varium, I felt like such a boss with my high strength and massacre build, I'll never forget that feeling.

2. When Titan mentioned Truly Clutch in one of the design videos here at 4:08. (Our first World Domination too!)

3. I guess this isn't one particular moment, but its whenever someone says that they remember me from back in the Beta days, makes me glad to see i've become a memorable person in ED :).

I don't have any...
I was about a level 30 when the infernal war came out, so I did nothing with that
I wasn't here for easter
I didn't like the insane NPC aspect of the ebil corp war, so I only got a couple thousand points

All that's happened recently is delayed promises of Omega for the last month, so nothing has happened recently

So, nothing...

Mostly in beta when I knew a lot of people and had fun battls, now, after a couple years, people don't remember who I am .-.
Also, becoming a founder and being a support BH (FM scaling to lvl ruined that :( )

For me it was

1 winning the 2 vs 2 cheevo even though many things were against me that day such as servers shutting down, getting booted of one server and being put on another, etc.

2 winning the warlord cheevo on my first try even though it was really just an auction cheevo given to the highest bidder.

3 buying my first promo which came with my first bot.

I enjoyed the good old days when we could 2v2 on doom.

The old bunnyzookas, which were oped in those days.

I enjoyed the days when I can use my Plasma Cannon build, 66-72 damage, and it worked out just right :) When I used it against the Vault, it was the key that scored me around 200 damage and earned me 30+ influence.

After getting my founders armor, I bought the 20$ gift card to get the bunnyzookas and it was so worth it [:)] much better than the deals nowadays

I remember leading a faction to a flag, only to have velvetcheeks steal it right after. Hanging out at Oz world 8 was always fun, and I think I went through 9 of Beastmo's factions... in a month. I also fondly recall having 20 friends on at a time. Thinking of that I can see why I'm only a Warlord. Smashing a founder was always a pretty good memory. You could go to your non-varium buddies and say "I beat a founder today" and everyone would be all like "Oh snap". Being able too get an entire arsenal with just the $20 bunny card was pretty good too. Was practically the only person with this piece of work: http://epicduelwiki.com/w/Bio_Tech_Maul, I see they've since buffed it, At that point everyone thought I was crazy. Then gamma came, and friend base slowly faded, as did I. I guess everything eventually loses it's luster, because if you think about it, gamma wasn't all too different at the beginning. The Omega really looks like it could be something though, I honestly hope that it's the right thing to bring some friends back, as that was always my reason for continuing to play. Maybe some day I'll give up my all-beta friends list and find some new people.

My best memory of ED ever was when i made a focus 5 BH build back in gamma ha i feel so nostalgic now

Some good items for me is in the days of Beta, when I started as a Tech Mage, when the level cap was 30. When I was lvl 20-25, the most commonly used builds for TMs is Plasma Bolt & Ovverlord + Reroute. Mercenaries are at the top of the other 2 classes atm. They spam Bunk Buster and Artillery Strike along with MAX Bunker. In 2vs2, usually a TM Plasma Bolts an enemy, and waits for his/her partner to multi, or a Merc Bunkers an enemy and waits for his/her partner to multi. Whereas 1vs1, TMs can win easily when he/her goes first and Stuns(successfully)+Plasma Bolt. Bounties go for Massacre as well. However, in the late Betas, enhancements and all those miserable days came. The level cap was rased to 31 or 32, and going from 28-30 is just a pain.

My best memories for me would be when I was just starting out way back mid-Gamma, with my good 'ol partner (and teacher BTW) midnight striker helping me out and teaching me the tools of the trade here HAHAHA
Also, I remember when my non-var BH build was with mid-level Energy Shield & RB and I was able to beat players 3-5 levels higher than I was, and me and midnight striker were the only ones using such builds (I was around levels 15-24 then)
I know you guys may not be able to relate with me, but those were good times :DDDD
