Pretty much. Cores will allow you to cover the gaps in your build that could put you at a disadvantage, i.e. TLM and no debuff or BM and no EP drain, which is good enough for me. Strategy will be the key here in terms of how you plan it out.

If players put time into making builds, they could make one that has no drawbacks yet has them. Whether there'd be one or not would be how you play the battle out to avoid being put at disadvantage.

@ Trans I agree,

Should be great providing one thing turns out like I hope.
And that is we can see the skill cores our opponent has equipped in battle.

Yeah, it would be good to counter them. Yet there wouldn't be effective counter because you're looking at up to 8 skill cores (Armor, Gun, Primary, Aux) and gotta think how to go around 'em and win the fight. It's impossible in 15 seconds so you gotta do it quick thus no harm in showing them.

i mean every class has some weakness. TLM dont have smoke and BM dont have energy drain get over it. In omega you can use frostbite.
