Problem with the stun build is that support is supposed to increase resistance against stun, but hey maxing out something that gives you more chances to stay alive is an effort that I cannot ignore because it's an interesting way in terms of builds.

Is having at least one skill point on a stun grenade good for a 5 focus BH build? I have it on and also a level 3 emp. I'm not very sure now due to some of the posts I've just read. :/

Against support merc:

Malf
Aux (or heal if crit)
Gamma Bot

It takes me just 3 turns to defeat a support merc which imo is alot less stressful than strength merc. Caster mages for me are challenging and time consuming than any other build that I fight.

Having EMP Grenade to remove some of the Energy (which is VERY important for support Merc) and Yeti to remove Gun will render the Support Merc completely defense less....right until they get they Aux back again that is.

Well 40% chance to stun with a powerful emp can sometimes be enough if both connect. I find it better if only I have a yeti to make extreme support builds devastated.

They are easy to kill in that state since they suffer from low dex and resistance. They will usually use aux at first turn so emp then when they are about to use their aux yeti will do. I don't find support mercs that op vs sup tm and ch.

Unfortunately, most people don't have 45k sitting in their inventory. [:(] So the rest of us who doesn't have that will be at the mercy of the Support mercs even with EMP Grenade.

Support builds are only usually a problem for me if it's a merc with energy aux because I can only throw up 1 shield at a time. mages are easy for me since they are all energy attacks. My build is the same for both my bloodmage and my bounty hunter. 5 focus support with level 3 e shield and reflex boost on my bounty, and level 7 of those on my bm. Both with max bloodlust, and bh with level 7 smoke. If they only deal 1 attack type I win. Otherwise I tend to lose.
